3.75⭐
After a humiliating, and totally public, cheating scandal, Lena heads to Italy to escape the paparazzi where she encounters a soccer star, Michele who's recuperating from a possible career ending accident. Beyond their story, this book is a love letter to Italy with mouthwatering descriptions of food to glorious scenery and locations. Above all, the themes of family and personal commitment underpin it all.

4.5⭐️ thank you for this ARC!
I really enjoyed this book. I read it in 48 hours and it’s rare a romance book keeps me hooked the way this one did. The setting is beautiful, it really makes you feel like you’re in Italy. I loved the main characters, the dual POV and how real the struggles they face are. I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes a vacation setting, dual pov fast paced romance.

Lena and Michele’s story was heartbreaking and soul fulfilling at the same time. 4/5 ⭐️

Lena is running from an LA breakup while Michele is running from an injury that derailed his soccer career. Both find some peace and comfort in Italy were they take a breathtaking roadtrip to get to know each other.

One of my favorite things about this book was them pushing each other to do what they needed and face the hard challenges, from the beginning. This will tug on your heartstrings and give you the warm and fuzzies!

This is a great summer/poolside read with top tier banter and middle of the road spice (3 out of 5 peppers for me).

I received an ARC of The Road to You from NetGalley. This was an enjoyable read. Spicy but not too spicy. It might make you want to take a roadtrip through Italy. The relationship was interesting with good character development for both of the main characters. This book was a solid 3.5-4 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing this ARC.

This was a fun summer read. Yoh get exactly what you'd expect from the description.

I liked the different POVs and the main characters were both likable.

They were also cute together and had a lot of chemistry!

This would make a great beach read on vacation.

First off, thank you Netgalley and Erika Vanzin for approving my request to read this arc.

Wow! The blurb of this book had me hooked which made me immediately send in a request and this book delivered all of my expectations. This book had so many clichés (which I absolutely adore) such as:

The one bed trope (TWICE!?)
Use of a Double POV (necessary in all good romances)
A bit of a hidden identity (not a huge part in the story)

When the author stated this book contained love slow-burn tension, emotionally available men, witty banter, rich character arcs, and open-door intimacy rooted in real connection. No cheating. No love triangles. Guaranteed HEA, she meant it! I need me a hot Italian man named Michele.

One of the biggest things I loved about this book was how in the end both characters got their career goals without sacrificing too much and everything the characters felt I felt. I felt their anger and happiness and heartbreak and the author had such a lovely way of writing everything as well.

I so recommend picking up this book once it's published, it was such a delightful, easy read with a 2.5 spice rating (in my opinion)

Of course there are definitely things which had me confused or I did not enjoy as much and my full review will be posted onto goodreads as well as Amazon once this book is officially out. My goodreads review is linked down below and my Amazon review will be linked later on.

3.5 stars rounded to 4!

the only scandal in this book is i couldn't be actually in it. in the beautiful scenes Erika sets up for us. taking in those sites, mmm eating the food and living the dream of that dreamy summer.
but boy was i glad to witness this one! a delightful sun soaked and sun beam filled read.
i could just sit and smile with this book. it was clever and right on pace. the characters both had my heart from the get to and i just loved being part of their story. the scenery and scene setting was on point to bring the story line and characters to life.
it felt like i was under a blue sky.
it felt like i could envision the sights and smells.
it felt like i could feel the relationship blossoming.
it felt like i could just be, just be in this little books world for a while and enjoy every moment of it.
and by the end i was almost anxious for them both to be ok. for their to be a happy ending. i needing to end this book with all the toe tingly feelings i had on reading. and i did. it ended the way Erika set it up perfectly for.
this little detour could be the road to something much more for our characters and are we not lucky to be reading it.
