“Perfectly Knit” is a unique prayer guide for moms to be. I really enjoyed how you’re taken through baby’s weekly milestones & given details of baby’s development along the way. I learned a lot I didn’t know. It also has some simplistic but beautiful illustrations for every week, showing babies developing. Each day then has a scripture section to meditate over and help guide you in prayers over your little one, and a section address to you, momma, to encourage or help you think on something more.

This is an awesome concept for a book, that would be a great gift for a momma to be, especially a first time momma I think. My favorite bits were learning about when certain developmental things were happening with my baby, and the author did a great job at weaving those developments into God’s amazing design, purpose, and plan.

For me this was a very solid book that I will definitely gift to moms in the future. I will just say that since I did read through this a bit faster than it is intended to be read through, I picked up on a little repetitiveness within some of the days. I don’t think this would actually be noticeable for those going through it day by day like it is intended to be done though, because it wasn’t very much to begin with. Along with that amongst the scripture segments and prayer guiding, there were a couple of times that the way the author worded a couple things made it sound like she wanted you to thank God for your unborn child’s salvation, I’m not sure if she was intending this the exact way it came across and was very few times, but that’s not something I believe you can know before & thus thank God for before they are of an age to accept, believe, & confess themselves. Again this may not of been the authors intention but the way it was worded and I read it as, I’m not sure but it is mentioned a few times and was the one thing that stuck out to me I didn’t like.

All in all I enjoyed this read. I would recommend it. I will be gifting it to other moms in the future. I wish we had more resources like this celebrating the life being created in the womb!
