This book has beautiful photos and lots of easily accessible information about the polar habitats and the animals and plants you can find there. I also think the pages dedicated to climate change are really important. Perfect book for young readers.

One of a set of four quick reads, each discussing different habitats of the world. They define a habitat quickly, and act by example, showing us the weather and mostly the animals we know the habitats for, in thoroughly decently visual manner. It does leave obvious things out, such as the north pole itself being ice-over-water while the south is ice-upon-ice-upon-ice-upon-rock, but these really are for beginner scientists, and while I would always prefer the whole set's material to be in one book, the contents here are still perfectly fine.

This is a bright, colorfully illustrated book that gives good information for readers who are ready to transition into a non-fiction text with a glossary, table of contents, and index. However it does a nice job of balancing shorter amounts of text with photos and illustrations, making this an engaging read for all ages.

I highly recommend this book for schools and libraries.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. A book with a variety of topics that kids will enjoy learning about.

This was such a fun and informative read! The first thing that I liked about this book was the diversity. The author made a point to include a variety of different animals, plants, and facts into one book, even though it had one central theme. Additionally, the author definitely could have just chosen one of the poles, but they decided to write about both, which is awesome! Another unique thing about this book that I noticed was the way the book was written. It was written in a way that included the reader, and immersed them into the book. This choice definitely helps readers feel like they're a part of the adventure, and that is a perfect quality for a kids' book to have. Bravo!

Polar Habitats would be a great book to use in a classroom to study just that - polar habitats! The wealth of information that is given is not only informative but interesting too! Lots of great facts are given for the plant and animal life that live in a polar habitat. I love that the important vocabulary words are underlined in the text, similar to a text book, and the glossary at the end provides the full definition so the reader can read the word in context on that page and know it's full. meaning. There are also great photos to provide visuals of what is being talked about in the text and the fun illustrations of the author/explorer around the pages with extra information and fun facts was a great addition.
