I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.

While I have all respect for books about processing grief and I fully acknowledge that grief for a spouse is entirely different than for a parent or even a boyfriend/girlfriend, this one just didn't resonate with me. Its intent is clear. And I liked that it wasn't a simple, clean process. We've got the guilt and denial, the desire to preserve life as it had been and the promise of new experiences. Well meaning friends and relatives. The relationships anre complicated and the protagonist comes to a lot of realizations. Its largely that she is so emotionally closed off. Distant not only from the other characters but from the reader as well.
