Another blinder of a thriller from AJ Campbell! She never fails to deliver!

It’s Hannah and Johnny’s wedding day. They are so in love and it’s actually Johnny’s father giving Hannah away; that’s how close they are. But then Johnny gets cold feet and backs out. Hannah knows this would never happen, she just knows.

Through her grief, she is determined to find out the truth. Why did Johnny change his mind and why was a face from her past outside the church?

There weren’t many characters in this book, but they are all so well written and totally believable. I was fully immersed in the story from the moment. Hannah arrived at the church and the myriad of twists had me holding my breath at times. I really did not have any inkling as to the truth of why Johnny had walked away so when the truth was revealed, my mind was blown and the ending was superb.

5 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, AJ Campbell and Bookouture, for an ARC of this book.

As Hannah sits in the car with her soon to be father in law, the last thing she expects as she arrives at the church to marry Johnny, is a phone call to say her love had changed his mind. As Hannah tries to come to terms with being left at the altar, things start to seem a bit odd. Johnny wouldn’t just leave her like that, no matter how it seemed she’s sure he wouldn’t. She just has to find proof.

This book had me hook line and sinker from the start. I really liked the storyline and how well the author misdirected you just as you thought you’d got it figured out. I pretty much suspected half of the characters of some nefarious deed at different times but essentially I didn’t guess until the big reveal.

A really great, gripping thriller, highly recommend.

Hannah’s nightmare is just beginning when her fiance, Johnny, isn’t waiting for her at the altar on their wedding day.

Where is Johnny, why hasn’t he turned up? As Hannah starts looking into where Johnny could be, she soon realises that nothing makes sense. Above everything else, Johnny wouldn’t leave Hannah or her son Lucas.

This is a gripping psychological thriller with so many wonderful twists and turns.

I felt for Hannah and her son, Lucas, my heart went out to them both. The author captures the emotions well in her writing.

I flew through the story, I needed to know what was happening with the characters. My heart was in my mouth. This was an enjoyable and powerful story.

I received a copy of the book from the publisher.

I found this plot had twists and turns. Secrets that she had,,feeling safe now till she sees a face in the crowd, and no Johnny at the aisle end.
I recommend this book, I enjoyed reading her books. Given arc. NG. And Bookouter

Very suspenseful, very well written. I did figure out mostly what happened early on, but there were enough turns to make me doubt it many times throughout the book.

I really enjoyed getting to read this psychological thriller novel, it uses the bride/groom going missing perfectly. I was engaged from start to finish and how everything was used to the twists and glad the characters were used during the storyline. AJ Campbell has a strong writing style and was invested in what was going on in this book. It had tension and was glad it worked so well in the genre.

Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for an early copy of Left at the Altar. This was a slow moving book. Hard to keep reading but glad I did, The ending was definitely a twist but just took way too long to get there. I did love the short chapters and I did like the main character, felt very bad for Hannah. Family definitely has its issues.

In Left at the Alter, Hannah was literally left at the alter. Johnny whom she had met after being in an abusive relationship was a no show on the day of the wedding. There are secrets to be told
and this story will hold your interest. Would recommend.
Thanks to Netgalley for ARC and the opportunity to review.

A popcorn thriller with short chapters that keep you turning the pages. And guessing.. Hannah is crushed when Johnny doesn't show up for their wedding and no one knows where he is. Unfortunately, the loathsome Dean does. Hannah's got secrets, Johnny and his family have secrets, and everyone (except little Lucas) is lying to everyone else. Lots of twists. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read for the plane.

Left At The Alter, by AJ Campbell, it is the day of Hannah‘s wedding to Johnny and she couldn’t be happier. Her sister India has flown in from Australia her sister Carrie who happens to be engaged to Johnny’s brother Tom, helped get her ready for the wedding the only problem is her fiancé doesn’t show up and sends a message saying he can’t go through with it! to make matters worse Hannah sees Dean the brother of someone from her past who she knows all too well is no good and he’s there with her sister India. this alarms Hannah but the overwhelming emotion is devastation and being torn between believing Johnny left her at the altar and thinking Johnny would never do this. when she reads the text Johnny sent to his dad Allen it is her first inkling to let her know Johnny not showing up may not have been his choice after all. although when she talks to sister Carrie and Tom she learns things about Johnny that causes her to believe she may not have known him that well at all. It isn’t until she’s at Johnny’s house and receives a plant that was sent to Johnny from another woman that causes her to dig and find evidence, but of what? Did Johnny leave her did Dean warn him off do to her past or something more devious at play? everything just gets merkier when her and India find Dean murdered at his house but what she eventually uncovers will not only change her life but the lives of her sisters also. there is so much I left out of this awesome awesome read like her son Lucas, Hana authentically spirals in mainly how the people she has come to love like family may not even be trustworthy. Usually when I really super Duper love a book I find it hard to write a good summary and that’s the case with this book but it’s also because there is so much in the book from the things in her past to current day. The ending I thought was sad but for the reader I think very satisfying. I truly enjoy AJ Campbell’s books and after reading such horrible thrillers lately was so happy to dive into this one knowing chances are it was going to be a good one and it definitely was. I found Hannah‘s emotional breakdown unlike most books where it’s almost irritating I found it authentic and plausible I love her relationship with her sister India and possibly carry? This is really a great book and one I definitely recommend a thriller fan to Love a multi limbed octopus of a thriller that all comes together in the end. #NetGalley,#Bookouture,#TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview, #AJCampbell, #LeftAtTheAltar,

Hannah is excited to marry Johnny Caxton the love of her life. Her previous relationship was an abusive one and the only good thing that came out of it was her son Lucas. Johnny is also excited to become a dad for Lucas. But on the way to her wedding, she recognises a person from her past, which she hoped she would never see again Dean Ferguson.
So, when she finds out that Johnny as changed his mind and not coming to the wedding, she thinks that Dean may have something to do with it. Is her past catching up with her? When she asks the Caxton’s if they have heard from Johnny, they seem to be hiding something, but why?
She needs to find out where is johnny and has Dean got anything to do with it. She starts her own investigation with the help of her sister India. To find out the truth.
This is another great page turner from AJ Campbell, with lots of twists and turns that kept you engaged throughout. But for me the ending did leave me with a few unanswered questions. 4 stars from me.

Hannah has finally found happiness after being in an abusive relationship. She is marrying Johnny Caxton and both Hannah and her son are looking forward to their new lives. Johnny's father is going to give her away but on the way to the church he receives news that Johnny isn't going ahead with the wedding. Hannah is understandably confused and upset but then spots a face from the past that she hoped she'd never see again. Has the fact that Dean Ferguson is at her wedding with her sister got anything to do with Johnny not turning up? Hannah has been keeping a secret from Johnny but his family have secrets of their own.
This was an enjoyable read with interesting though not all likeable characters. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book.

Thank you for sending me this arc. This book was so easy to read, I was intrigued right from the start! Loved the writing style & the premise of the book. Felt so sorry for out FMC & everything she had gone through on top of the current situation she found herself. I wasn’t massively shocked by the revelations at the end but that didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the book. Good, easy read!

I absolutely loved this book! Left at the Altar by AJ Campbell is one of the most gripping thrillers I’ve read this year. From the very first page, I was completely hooked. The suspense is relentless, the plot is brilliantly crafted, and the twists just kept coming. I truly couldn’t put it down.
The characters are so well written and full of depth, making every emotion and decision feel incredibly real. The pacing was perfect, and just when I thought I had it figured out, the story took another shocking turn. It kept me guessing right until the final page. This is the kind of book that stays with you long after you've finished reading. I’ll be definitely recommending this to everyone, especially to readers who love a fantastic thriller with emotional depth, high-stakes drama, and jaw-dropping revelations.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this gem. I can’t wait to read more from AJ Campbell!

Can there be anything worse than being left at the altar, well almost at the altar, and having no reason,no clue or no prior warning that this might happen?

For Hannah this becomes a nasty reality as her soon to be Father in Law who is about to give her away receives a call minutes from arriving at the church where Hannah presumes she will soon xperience the ‘happiest day of her life’

Hannah is stunned, furious, upset but mostly perplexed and hurt as to why this has happened….and where is Johnny her hubby to be? she is at a loss,as is everyone

But as she delves deeper into the past and people she becomes suspicious of things she finds, things have been hidden from her and she is learning that people are not always as they seem

Another exciting read from this author that kept me involved in the storyline and especially Hannah who felt sorry for as she tried to come to terms to being ditched on her special day but was resolved to find out the truth even when it seemed everything was against her

Emotive and lots of hidden revelations made this a thrilling thriller

Well written, with a well thought out plot, it will keep you engaged from beginning to end.
When I know this author has written another book I can’t wait to read it, as I know it will be another exciting entertaining read.
Hannah is very much looking forward to marrying Johnny who means the world to her.
He will make a wonderful stepdad to her son Lucas who loves him as much as she does.
Unfortunately she arrives at the church & can’t understand why the car needs to go round the block again.
It soon emerges that Johnny is not at the church waiting for his bride.
She has been left at the alter with no explanation & Johnny is now missing.
Has he found out what she did years ago ?
I Absolutely loved this engrossing read I was totally hooked from beginning to end.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for sending me this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Left at the Altar by A.J. Campbell releases on August 13th.

This was a super quick and bingeable thriller! I was hooked from the start.

You should read this if you like:
- FMCs with a mysterious past 👤
- Short, bingeable chapters 📖
- Winter wedding settings 💍
- Mysterious disappearances 🔍
- Family secrets 🤫

I had a lot of fun reading this book. I finished it in almost one sitting because it was just soooo quick and engaging. I’m definitely excited to read more from this author.

That said, I did find the twists a bit predictable. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it did lower my rating slightly.

I recommend reading this thriller in the winter for the atmospheric setting! ❄️

Thank you NetGalley! What a great book! My first by this author and definitely not my last. A wedding that should be filled with happiness, instead filled with confusion. Pulled me into the story right away

An entertaining page turner - short chapters make for a good pace. I enjoyed the story, but would have liked some of the characters to be fleshed out a little more.
With thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc ebook.
