This is a great little guide for anyone planning a trip to Paris. Or if, like me, you have no Paris trip in sight, but just have a love of the city and want to read and daydream.

It's conveniently separated by neighborhoods around top attractions. She gives a breakdown of how she chose hotels, how they're rated, and basic criteria these hotels needed to meet to be included. One of my favorite necessities was her belief that you should always have little snacks available in your room but some of the hotels she researched do not allow food in those rooms therefore they were not included. Surely in a city drowning in excellent bread, macarons, chocolate, and all manner of other treats, this is a most important basic need. Good looking out, Caroline!

My favorite section of Paris (Le Marias for the queer-vegan neighborhood!) has many lovely hotels mentioned within these pages. I'd recommend this book to anyone before they travel to Paris, look up these tips in her book, she even tells you which hotels give better deals on their websites, if there is a worthwhile breakfast or which nearby cafe you should strike out and visit for breakfast.

Thank you Caroline O'Connell, Travel Smart Press, and Net Galley for this very useful advanced reader copy!
