Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book.

Wow, this book pulled me in from very start. I immediately was immersed into Essie and Nate's world with their friends and teammates, and I loved it. The story was the epitome of the grumpy/sunshine in the very best ways

Sure, by the end, I was tired of the repetitive back and forth of Nate's "I want to be with her, but no, love isn't reliable...but I just love her so much...but I've been hurt so much in the past" waffling, but since I knew we would end with a HAE, I pushed through it.

This was my first Helena Hunting book, and I will definitely be looking for more of her work. Additionally, the audiobook format read in duet by the two narrators was extremely effective and engrossing.

Helena Hunting does it again!!

I read and listened to I Could Be Yours by Helena Hunting and I just loved this book. It's spicy and funny.
I was listening to the audiobook while I was walking my dog and ended up making our walk a bit longer because I was so into the story and didn't want to stop. I love the narrators. They were perfect

If you like spicy and funny hockey romance books then I do recommend this one.

This was such a fun summer read. The banter, the tension, and โ€œcompetitionโ€ between Nate and Essie were perfect.

Nate stole my heart! His character development, his grumpiness, his NERDY side ๐Ÿซ  I think his character development is one of my favorites. There was so much more of him than we have seen in the previous books and I loved seeing how much he hid from his friends and family.

I loved Essie. She is funny and loves deeply. Sheโ€™s also a planner and has a thing for spreadsheets, which was very relatable ๐Ÿคฃ She knows who she is, what she wants, and what she deserves. I love how Essie is there for those she cares about and how she would do just about anything to make them happy.

If you are looking for a fun, opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine, second chance romance, then I HIGHLY recommend this one.

Please note that I HIGHLY recommend you read at least If You Hate Me before reading I Could Be Yours.

๐ŸŽง AUDIOBOOK
Audiobook is a duet narration. Both narrators did a great job enhancing the story. Both were emotive and I never felt like they were monotonous. They made slightly different voices for each character. No mouth noises. No breathing into the mic.

Thank you so much Helena Hunting for the eARC and ALC!

โœฆSeries: This is a standalone that is connected to the Toronto Terror series.
Nate ghosted Essie six years ago after a kiss that rocked both their worlds. He doesnโ€™t believe love can last, and that his past left him broken. Sheโ€™s a hopeless romantic who falls in love too easily and will never find the one because everyone assumes sheโ€™s just a pretty face.

โœฆPOV: Dual first-person
I loved the text threads and wickedly flirty banter. Essieโ€™s ruthless teasing was legendary and Nateโ€™s vulnerability with her was so sweet.

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Duet narration: @SavannahPeachwood @NarratedByTeddyHamilton
They delivered an A+ listening experience that really gave Nate and Essie life. Their chemistry felt real and were the perfect pair to cast.

โœฆSpice: Open door, explicit
Being Tristan and Rixโ€™s best man and maid of honour gives them the second chance only forced proximity can offer. The tension strengthens their chemistry which explodes when they finally give in; it was chefโ€™s kiss! ๐Ÿซ

ยป Nate and Essie are flawed but strong, multilayered and relatable. They truly see each other, and it was beautiful to watch their relationship unfold. Nateโ€™s redemption arc was richly developed, and Essieโ€™s growth made me so happy.

ยป The connection to the Toronto Terror series provides a brilliant secondary cast. The Badass Babe Brigade are still girl squad goals while Nate and Flipโ€™s dynamic is hysterical. I love how Flip takes the piss out of him but is also a valuable friend.

โœฉ I canโ€™t omit how tickled I am that in this world, Toronto has won the Cup (in the last 50 years)! ๐Ÿ˜‚

โ™ก Helena did it again with another banger of a story that was addictive, funny, and wildly entertaining with so much heart. I devoured it in a day; ICBY totally hit the plot!

I had such a good time with I Could Be Yours! Helena Hunting knows how to craft a romance thatโ€™s the perfect mix of chemistry, banter, and heatโ€”and Nate and Essie were no exception. Their dynamic was magnetic from the start. The push and pull between them was deliciously addictive, the kind that makes you grin one second and fan yourself the next. You could just feel the tension simmering beneath their banter, and watching them toe that line made for such a satisfying slow build.

Essie is smart, fiery, and totally unapologeticโ€”my kind of FMC. Nateโ€™s blend of confidence, protectiveness, and genuine care made him impossible not to fall for. The way they challenged each other while still seeing each other was beautifully done. I think that the audio really brought these two to life. Iโ€™m not *typically* and audio girl, but I think it makes experiences with books like these, with wit and longing, a well rounded experience. Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood honestly did such a great job for these characters and Iโ€™m so happy to have received this!

It was also so fun seeing Bea and Tristian play such a big part in this book. Their presence grounded the story in a cozy familiarity, and their relationship added another layer of emotional depth and warmth to everything.

And letโ€™s be realโ€”this book is sexy. Helena Hunting always delivers on the steam, but this one? Well done. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

If youโ€™re into witty, well-paced romance with heat, heart, and sharp banter, this one should be on your list.

When Grumpy is the epitome of grumpiness, and Sunshine is princess fairy dust and shimmers! Yup, that is these two to a T, but there is more below the surface. Love how the authour makes such a broken hero, but broken in a good way? Love how our heroine presents all that light, but wants someone to see below it, to her true heart and soul. Love how they think they can keep it all physical. Love how they thought they could bury their insecurities. Love how they kept their grumpiness and sunshine, even after they worked everything out, and get their happily ever after <3

Helena huntingโ€™s talent to write great romances is undeniable. Essie and Nateโ€™s story started years ago when they shared a kiss that ultimately led to Nate ghosting Essie. Now, Nateโ€™s brother is marrying Essieโ€™s best friend and they are the best man and maid of honor, so they are bound to spend a lot of time together, especially being it is a destination wedding.๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿฅต

We follow their story as they get closer due to the wedding and ultimately give up to their chemistry. They both have trauma they need to heel prior to really giving into a relationship, so their story is full of drama, romance, spice and general cuteness.

Essie has such a caring personality and wears her heart on her sleeve truly sharing she wants a great romantic relationship. Nate is the total opposite, he has abandonment issues due to his mom leaving and previous girlfriend cheating. Both of their pasts reflect how they carry themselves into the world.

Overall I completely loved Essie and Nat, they had undeniable chemistry and had great character development. I enjoyed all the interactions we saw from the Toronto Terror team, and all the love and support Essie and Nate had๐Ÿฉทโ€ฆ The spice was spicing on their story๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต

For the narration of the book, Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton did a phenomenal job portraying Essie and Nate. The chemistry was accurately portrayed and their narration made me feel inside the story.

Tropes:
- Hockey romance
- Forced proximity
- Best man / maid of honor
- Second chance romance
- Grumpy / sunshine
- Spicy romance

Thanks to Helena Hunting for providing access to the ARC and ALC of this story๐Ÿฉท

Ah Nate! Since we first got a glimpse of you on the page, I've been itching to learn more about you. And I'm so glad you and Essie's paths crossed again to give us this spicy, grumpy sunshine summer read!

Now there is never a wrong time for a grumpy sunshine book. And with the state of the world right now, I crave characters like Essie who work tirelessly to bring out the best in everyone around them, because it gives us a reprieve. She's even doing it for us the reader!

I first eyeball read this, and then when I heard who the narrators (hum hum Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood!!!!!) were I didn't need any coaxing to dive right back into this story. Now I'm usually a fan of Dual narration, but these two in duet were so well matched! A grumpy Teddy and a Sunshine Savannah gave us chemistry that had me fanning myself more than once!

๐ˆ adored this story! It's a perfect summer read with great banter. Nate and Essie's story starts with a shared kiss, but then Nate ghosted her. Now, as maid of honor and best man at their friends' wedding, they're forced to spend time together, unable to resist their mutual attraction.

๐ŸŽง๐“๐ก๐ž dynamic between Essie, a hopeless romantic, and Nate, a skeptic who shies away from love, is both hilarious and heartwarming. This was such an amazing story and I absolutely loved it! It was so great to get to see old and new faces in this story and I really really loved getting to see Rix and Tristian again and having them involved throughout the story. They are my favorite couple from this series so seeing them again was great. The new couple in this story were amazing too! Essie and Nate had such amazing chemistry and that made for such a fun story. The narrators did such a wonderful job of capturing Nate and Essie and I would highly recommend this audiobook.

This Audiobook was amazing! The narrators were on point and easily elevated what's an incredible story from Hunting.

I Could Be Yours delivers exactly what Hunting does best: playful banter, passionate romance, emotional payoff, and a quirky ensemble.

Hunting never disappoints. Essie and Nate's story is pure magic and it lands squarely in her signature blend of humor, swoonโ€‘worthy chemistry, and emotional vulnerability. If you're a fan of Hunting you won't be disappointed. If you're not and this is your first taste of Hunting...Welcome to the club, there won't be a book in her inventory you won't want to read.

I adored Nate and Essie. Their palpable chemistry lends itself so well to the deeper storyline of abandonment and second chances and while Nate's story will break your heart, these incredible characters will have you swooning by the last page turn.

If you enjoy quickโ€‘burn romances with character growth and stellar spice this one should be right up your alley. You also get to meet some old favourites which never goes a miss โค๏ธ

Essie and Nate were everything I hoped they would be and more. I listened to this on audio and teddy hamilton is everything!!! This is a second chance, opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine romance and can be read as a complete standalone although Iโ€™d read the Toronto terror series for a bit of backstory. I loved reading Nate trying to work through his feelings when he doesnโ€™t believe in love and Essie just loves love and is desperate for her turn at a happily ever after. As usual with Helena thereโ€™s a lot of banter and humour and a great amount of spice. This didnโ€™t disappoint!

Okay so the way I always look forward to my next Helena Hunting book because I know I'm getting some very spicy spice, some good and witty banter, that amazing found family with the group of friends while also some sexy hockey players! Well this one might have had a sexy nerd when it came to Nate, I was definitely on edge cause you could tell the build up was just going to lead to such a spicy spice and there definitely was no lack in that department. I love Essie cause I felt like I saw a part of me in her because of her view on love, that hopeless romantic in a world of crazy dating. Im just so happy they both got their happily ever after ๐Ÿ’•

Laughter, love and life lessons fill the pages of this amazing romcom!

Essie is a ray of sunshine and the antagonist to Nateโ€™s dark clouds and broody demeanor. These two couldnโ€™t be more opposite and yet they canโ€™t stop from gravitating toward each other.

We learn that these two have a history but that history wonโ€™t stay in the past and the more time they spend with each other the more they realize that the hate they feel isnโ€™t hate at all.

I loved Essie so much. She is hilarious and everything I want to be when I grow up. I love that she doesnโ€™t let life knock her down and that she isnโ€™t afraid to be who she is. I also really loved Nate and how well these two compliment each other. The love they find is fun and easy but keeping is where the true story begins.

This is the perfect summer romance that will fill you with laughter and have you falling in love with all things spreadsheets and fairytales!

The narrators made this story truly come to life. I love that it was duet style narration and could listen to both Savannah and Teddy all day and never tire of their voices!

โ€œI canโ€™t take my eyes off her as she kisses a path down my chest. Sex with Essie is an adventure. Sheโ€™s fun, uninhibited, and wildly beautiful.โ€

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿชผ๐Ÿ’™

The love, laughter, and steam that come from @helenahunting books are top notch. This book had me laughing out loud, while also checking my surroundings for anyone hearing some NSFW audio (which seems like more of a them problem than mine. Eavesdrop at your own risk).

Nate and Essie were the perfect mix of grumpy and sunshine, compatible on paper and in bed, plus could banter at anytime. Iโ€™m so glad they got their story. They both faught through stubbornness while not just settling for what they โ€œthinkโ€ they deserved. They had real problems they needed to work through and they did, like adults.

I have to say though my favorite part was ALL THE CAMEOS. I love seeing previous characters show up and play such a big role in these books. The found family is 100/10 with a chefs kiss. The excitement for future books is unmatched.

@narratedbyteddyhamilton and @savannahpeachwood captured these characters perfectly. I could listen to them banter all day. I canโ€™t wait for whatโ€™s to come.

If you havenโ€™t read Helenaโ€™s books, youโ€™re missing out! I highly recommend them all.

I loved this so much! Nate and Essie's second chance romance was so addicting that I couldn't put it down! The charged tension, fiery banter, and electric chemistry all had me absolutely hooked, and completely invested in their journey to their HEA. Nate and Essie shared a passionate kiss when they were in high school, but Nate ghosted her when he went off to college, not wanting the stress of a long distance romance. Now they both back in the same city, with successful careers, and back in each other's lives. Nate is the best man for his brother's wedding and Essie is the made of honor for her best friend. They are both in charge of activities, and their competition to make their ideas the best is hilarious! Essie is all light and sunshine, while being completely organized, and Nate is dark and grumpy, flying by the seat of his pants. I love the way they clash, and the tension between them is their foreplay, leading to some very sizzling hot passion together. They try to keep it secret so that the focus is on the bride and groom, which leads to even more hilarious and tense moments. They both guarded their hearts because they are complete opposites. Essie wants romance and love, and Nate doesn't believe he is worthy of love after being burned in the past. What will happen when the wedding is over, will they go back to being frenemies, or will they open their hearts and fight for each other? I loved Nate and Essie together and cheered hard for their HEA! I loved how strong Essie was and knew what she wanted, including Nate and his nerdy engineering adorkableness, and also being there for him when no one else was. Nate is so swoony with a heart of gold, but my heart broke for him as he struggled with his past, and then soared when he was sweet, caring, and deliciously dirty. It was so much fun catching up with all their friends and family too, who were meddlesome, supportive and loving, adding so much fun and heart to this story. This story really has it all: humor, healing, forgiveness, found family and love. I couldnโ€™t put it down, loving every moment.
Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton did an amazing job with this story. Their voices were so complimentary and were perfect for Essie and Nate. They easily move from light to genuine, deep emotion, making my heart race between laughter, anguish, passion, and tears of joy. I really enjoyed their performance and thought they did a great job bringing these characters, and this story to life!

No surprise here I loved I Could Be Yours!! Helena is the queen of romance and I just love the worlds and characters she writes so much!

I Could Be Yours is a standalone romance in the same world as the Terror Hockey series, and all about the adorable and quirky Essie (BFF to Beatrix) and Nate (brother to Tristan).

I mostly listened to the audiobook and Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton are DREAM narrators. They did a great job voicing all of the friends and different characters at the wedding and especially capturing the emotional depth of Essie and Nate ๐Ÿ’•. Great intonation, inflection and pausing.

It features some awesome tropes:
- maid of honor and best man
- wedding planning
- forced proximity
- friends with benefits turned romance
- second chance romance

Thanks so much Helena and Dreamscape Media for the arc! All thoughts are mine.

Helenaโ€™s books always make me smile so much. Essie and Nateโ€™s story grabbed me from the very first chapter and I loved every second. Essie is so smart and kind but also has the sass to back it up. Her love of lists and organization made me love her even more. Nate is so grumpy in the beginning because he is guarded with everyone in his life. Their banter with each other had me cracking up as they truly loved to push all the buttons.

What I love most in Helenaโ€™s books is the incredible found family she creates for her characters. This book pulls in characters from so many of her other books and I just loved how much love they all have for one another. Nate and his brothers have faced so much heartache so I loved seeing Nate get the support and time he needed from those he loves. Life is messy, relationships are hard, and this journey felt very realistic.

As with all of Helenaโ€™s books, this one is nice and steamy. Essie knows what she wants, what she likes, and she isnโ€™t afraid to ask for it. Nate is all too eager to please which makes their connection even better. Overall, I absolutely loved these two characters and this world of interconnected stories!

If you love audiobooks, please listen to this one! Teddy Hamilton and Savanah Peachwood knock their performances out of the park. This is recorded in duet and it is such a great listen.

Thank you so much to Helena, her team, and Dreamscape Media for this ALC in return for my honest review. My opinions are my own.

I love this book; it has so many wonderful things, and the narrators are amazing. They really make the book come to life. If you get the chance give it anlisten.

Before I give my thoughts on the story I want to take a second to recognize the narrators. Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood were superb - they gave so much life to these characters and the humor wouldn't have been done half as well by anyone else. I got access to this book and binged it in one day.

The story - I've said it many times and I'll say it again, Helena Hunting excels at character growth. Her leads always end up communicating through their differences, and her male leads are not afraid of therapy. This to me is the hottest thing ever.

Nate struggles with love and commitment after being abandoned by his mother as a child, and watching him come to terms with his feelings for Essie while coping with his abandonment issues felt like watching a good friend work through things that were holding them back.

Essie grows so much in this story, realizing her self-worth and that she deserves to be loved and have the fairy tale.

The chemistry between her and Nate is HOT. I was definitely blushing during the spicy scenes and there are cameos from much beloved characters as well as important set-up for future stories.
