Once again, Helena wrote a fun & at times emotional book with great characters that is set within the Toronto Terrors family. Essie is a sweet caring friend who just wanted to fall in love & have her HEA. Nate is a grumpy broken man who doesnโ€™t believe in love
Helena did an amazing job mixing the fun but also bringing the emotions in this book. What started out as Nate & Essie helping out with the wedding they decide to break the sexual tension between them, but it turns into dealing with your past trauma & finding a way to heal and find that ever lasting love.
The character development was so well written and the banter & spice was amazing.
Seeing the cameos from her other books was so much fun.
Teddy Hamilton & Savannah Peachwood were wonderful. Savannah captured Essieโ€™s personality & beautiful heart while Teddy captured Nateโ€™s grumpiness and vulnerability.
This was a great & fun book and it was a perfect summer romance book to get lost in.

I love me a The Toronto Terror universe and the family that is created in it. And I will shout to all about Helenaโ€™s amazing books!!

This audio had me! This is my first dose of an audio grumpy MMC but with a sweet side to him. It was so good! I was feeling my feels and squeals as I listened to this audio. The steam was steaming!

Essie and Nate finally connect again after a brief encounter they never told any of their friends about. Essie is fairy tales and happily ever after. Nate does not think love lastsโ€ฆ or maybe itโ€™s just him that unlovable. They both want to help each other and along the way lines get crossed and feelings grow. But Essie cannot afford to be hurt again and Nate is not sure he will ever be enough. Are they doomed from the start? Or will they grow together?

Love love love this group! Everyone makes an appearance in this book! And we get a few sneak peeks that have me squealing!!!

Another fantastic book set in Helenaโ€™s hockey world. I really love how all these amazing stories are interconnected. Essie and Nate, so much chemistry. I absolutely loved the grumpy sunshine vibes. I loved seeing more of our favorite characters. I loved the opposite attracts with Essie and Nate. I loved seeing how Nate navigated some hard things he was going through. I canโ€™t wait to continue reading these stories. Loved the little hints of whatโ€™s to come.

I love everything about this book, this was another hit by Helena. The love story of Nate and Essie was a gold star couple and one of my favorite book couples. The enemies to lovers' troupe, the banter, all the side characters made this story everything. I feel like this story should be on the big screen. I want to continue with the story and look forward to any other books that will be a part of the series.

Helena Hunting is a rockstar and no one can tell me anything different. Hello Mr. Nate Stiles, Engineer extraordinaire. When they say grumpy meets sunshine, this couple is the face of it. Essie is all happiness, love and the queen of spreadsheets. She has to work with Mr. Competitive himself as they are maid of honor and best man to Tristan and Rix. Now this leads to some hilarious & embarrassing moments which had me laughing so much. And who better to help this along than in duet by the elite team of Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton. I enjoy Helenaโ€™s writing so much. She draws you in from the moment you begin. AND the gangs all here including some surprises that I wonโ€™t spoil. Bravo for yet another 5 star story!

I Could Be Yours by Helena Hunting is the latest installment in her Toronto Terror series and features Nate and Essie.

Nate is Tristan Stiles of the Toronto Terrorโ€™s brother and Essie Lovelock is Tristanโ€™s fiancรฉe Rixโ€™s best friend. (Sheโ€™s also the sister of Cammie Lovelock from Chase Lovett Wants Me in the Tilton University Series)

Nate and Essie shared a moment six years ago and Nate then blew Essie off and neither of them has forgotten it. Thrust together for best man/maid of honor duties for Tristan and Rixโ€™s wedding, they are forced to confront the elephant in the room. Nate is a big grump, and Essie is a ray of happiness and sunshine.

While he doesnโ€™t want to be attracted to Essie because to him, nothing good can come from love, he canโ€™t help it. Essie canโ€™t get over Nate or the attraction she hates to feel for him.

Makeup artist, Essie, believes in happiness, but seems to think it will never happen to her. Sheโ€™s all about the fairytale, but believes it will never happen to her. (Itโ€™s so fun that she is all about princesses and her sister is the elf lover)

The character development and growth in this book โ€“ especially for Nate is so nice. Ms. Hunting makes sure to put him through the necessary therapy to get where he needs to be to be a good partner to Essie and to have long-term happiness for himself. So many books just go from acknowledging issues to miraculously being โ€œcured.โ€
While this is part of a series, I think it would be okay to read as stand-alone, but you will enjoy it so much more, and get the joy of knowing the other books and the characters that are very much part of this story.

The narrators for this book, Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton do an incredible job telling the story - they each embody their characters and the secondary characters they are portraying and I felt they simply WERE whomever they were portraying. It's hard to listen to books where the narrators are simply just reading the words, and this is the opposite. They bring the story to life and made me feel as if I were with them.

I canโ€™t wait to read the next book in the series. Every book by Helena Hunting in a series is like coming home to friends. Every book is a keeper.

I did receive an ARC of this review from the author for an honest review. All opinions are my own and I love it so much that I've pre-ordered the audiobook and the paperback. Yep, this series is THAT good.

This was a great beach read book. Itโ€™s fun, great characters, lots of interaction between everyone and a HEA! Nate and Essie were fun to watch come together. There were issues that they were forced to deal with and I really liked how Helena chose to resolve them. She shed a great light on positivity in saying itโ€™s ok to get help when you canโ€™t get there yourself.

The majority of the book was about love, family and togetherness by blood or found. Itโ€™s a great summer read. You see Easter eggs for whatโ€™s coming so be sure to keep your eyes open ๐Ÿ˜‰. Thereโ€™s one in there you sure donโ€™t want to miss.

Can you ever go wrong with these two as narrators?? They are always spot on and this time is no different.

I have been waiting for Nate and Essieโ€™s story for a while now and it did not disappoint at all. The tension, the banter, the โ€œf*ck itโ€ moments. I was salivating for it all. Thanks for Helena Hunting and her team for this ALC. I devoured it in a day and that wasnโ€™t fast enough. Every cucumber mention (IYKYK) had me laughing out loud and it felt like I was a part of the BBB too. This romance was believable to me as well which is high praise for romance books. But Helena never fails in that category. And not to give too much away, but the next two Terror books are going to be good if this book is any indication. Hey, everyone besides them knows, so Iโ€™m counting the days until her next book. This found family world is one of my favorites. Thank you for another incredible book Helena.

This is the book I didnโ€™t know I needed. Itโ€™s not technically apart of the Toronto terror series since neither mc is apart of the team, but it fits perfectly as the next installment, minus the hockey.

Expect ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Secondish Chance, Wedding Party, Enemies to Lovers, Forced Proximity, Hockey (Toronto Terror) Adjacent, Just Hooking Up

Nate and Essie havenโ€™t gotten along since he ghosted her in high school. The gorgeous girl and the broken boy that cannot stay away from each other once theyโ€™re in each otherโ€™s orbit.

Essie is such a badass. Gorgeous, organized and loyal to a fault. I love how she loved Nate through his pain and supported him completely.

They had me smiling and giggling and absolutely loving them together.

This friend group is something so special. If you love found family, go back to If You Hate Me and start there. Even further back if you want books for some of the other characters that show up in this book.

๐ŸŽง The narration was epic! Teddy and Savanah were fantastic.

๐Ÿ”ฅ The Spice, as always is really good. Not nearly as wild as some HH books get ๐Ÿ˜

This book is technically a standalone, but I really think you should read the Toronto Terror series to truly appreciate it.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and Helena Hunting for the gifted alc.

I Could Be Yours - Helena Hunting
๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

Essie & Nateโ€™s much anticipated story is here! The pretty face & the nerd steam up the pages in this next story in the Terror series.

As the maid of honor & best man, Essie & Nate are forced to work together to create the best events for Rix & Tristan. Although Nate seems to be slacking a bitโ€ฆ so when he realized how all out Essie has gone, his competitive nature has fully kicked in. Not to be overruled as the best planner, Essie also unleashes her competitive side.

All the while, theyโ€™re able to hide their secret from their friendsโ€ฆ just them scratching the itchโ€ฆ no feelings, no dates, just time in the bedroom.

Essie tries her hardest not to fall into old patterns, but Nate has a hidden sweet side she canโ€™t help but have a soft for.

With a ton of personal growth with Nate, and some from Essie, theyโ€™re able to build a solid foundation to find their fairy tale & forever type of loveโ€ฆ in one another.

I wasnโ€™t a huge fan of the female narrator but Teddy Hamilton made up for all those parts in this duet narration. Chefs kiss.

Once again Helena has done it. The story of Nate & Essie is one of pure love, heartache, banter & found family. I knew I would love this story within the first pages of the book.

Nate & Essieโ€™s relationship was so fun to read/listen to because it gave us the fun & flirty while also giving us those hard & honest moments.

The thing I love the most about these characters is they both wanted to bring out the best in each other. They both had their insecurities & I think thats what each other liked most about the other. Essie loved Nateโ€™s nerdy aide and Nate loved how caring & smart Essie was.

Also can we talk about the flirting between these too๐Ÿฅต The shot scene with the salt & lime will forever be one of my favorite firsts from them & the appreciation Nate shows of some special piercings ๐Ÿ˜œ

Some of my favorite quotes from this book:

โ€œbed head Essie is the most beautiful Essie in the universe โ€œ

โ€œthank you for taking care of your heart so we can be good at taking care of each othersโ€

Thank you again to Helena & her team for the ARC & ALC of this book. The narrators were made for these characters and made the experience of the book so much better!! ๐Ÿคฉ

I always know that I can count on a Helena book for a good laugh. Everything about this book was rooted and comedy and I think that really helped some of the heavier conversations remain lighthearted.

I loved seeing the origins of Nate and Essieโ€™s relationship and how it changed throughout the book. From the jump, you could tell that they were the perfect opposite of each other, and that really helped show how great these two characters are.

I always love a good wedding romcom and this one absolutely did not disappoint. I loved the little bit of competition between Essie and Nate. It really added to the humor. I love the love that this whole friend group has for each other and Iโ€™m happy to see that their story got to be told even though neither of them is part of the terror organization directly. I cannot wait for cameos in the next two books.

Iโ€™m grateful to have received an ARC and ALC from the author.

Say hello to Nate, a MMC who makes both Connor Grace and Flip seem emotionally intelligent. He's given up on love entirely while also contradicting himself and falling deeply in lust with Essie of whom he's had a crush on her since high school - but messed it up because he was not emotionally available start anything then. Not that he's any better now.

Then we have Essie, she's your everyday manic pixie dream girl who brings the sunshine wherever she goes. She also happens to fall in love entirely too fast and has decided to take a break from relationships for the foreseeable future. What could go wrong?

Obviously, this duo is perfect to be Rix and Tris's MoH and Best Man for their upcoming nuptials. They're both competitive and very much into excel. They would do well in corporate America, but these Canadians are using their skills for good - not evil. We get loads of excel formula speak and they even bring in chemistry - and not only in the bedroom. One of the main themes seems to be that Nate is obviously a smart nerd who also happens to be good looking (I mean he's Tristan's brother).

Meanwhile, Essie's smarts are overlooked by everyone (exaggeration - mainly her shit ex's), and she definitely wears that chip on her shoulder. We already loved Essie prior to this story, so we knew that in advance. Nate sees her for who she is because he's extremely turned on by her spreadsheets - because, nerd, obviously.

This story takes us through the different parties for Rix and Tris's wedding leading up to a destination wedding in Aruba. We get steam from Nate and Essie starting at the Stag and Doe and it continues until the culmination of the events, when Nate's momster decides to make an appearance. It brings up feelings. Good, bad, and other. Safe to say Nate and his brother have mommy issues. Connor comes to save the day and we move forward with the ceremony.

What we learn. All these Stiles boys are well endowed. They really have abandonment issues. They have a very good relationship with the family that remains. Brody definitely came out of his shell in this one, partially due to alcohol and to his bestie who happens to be a massive golden retriever. I can't wait for his book. We also find out that Quinn Romero has been picked up to play for the Terror, so maybe we'll finally get his story. I enjoyed seeing Lav and Kodiak outside of their normal friend group. Honestly, Lav's help with the Tristan and Nate was gold. Their poor moosenuckles. Isaac and Sam were also great. Solid relief for cliff diving, the commenting on the size of the Stiles' family jewels, and outing Nate and Essie.

I did cry for this one. Helena Hunting brought out my emotions with this one, so of course, that means 5 stars. No cucumbers were harmed in the making of this story - BUT there was a cucumber salad at the shower, as a nod.

Edit: I listened to the audiobook as well. Teddy Hamilton does a superb job as Nate. Savannah Peachwood's rendition of Essie is sultry and snarky in the best way. I can't argue with the choice of narrators and listening really does add a layer of interest for me.

Another great book from Helena. I adore Essie. She reminded me of Giselle from Enchanted (love that movie) She is obsessed with anything pink and princess. And even though she loves anything thi h super cute and girly she has a naughty side (you'll find out when you listen). Nate is the sexy nerdy grump who loves periodic tables and everything Essie. Nate and Essie shared a kiss back in high school but he ghosted her afterwards. Years later they are brought together by there best friends getting married. They are constantly being thrown together to help with the wedding. These two decide it's just gon a be hook ups til the weddings over. But will thar really be the end of their romance? Find out July 10th.

I'm a huge fan of Helena Hunting. No exception for this new read. Love getting the stories for all the different characters we meet in others. Essie and Nate are perfect and there are so many great moments. Audio paired while reading was also fantastic ๐Ÿ˜

I received this book complimentary from Helena Hunting and the audio book complimentary of Helena Hunting and NetGalley. All opinions are mine own.

This was sweet! Nate and Essie are a sweet couple and I like their depth and personal insight. I love how the estranged mom plot line was handled. I appreciate how thoughtful but goofy they were. I would recommend this to romance readers broadly. I especially loved the tie-ins to past Helena Hunting books! I love seeing other fave characters in the Pucked/Terror universe!

First thing first the narrators did amazing!!

I love Nate and Essie ๐Ÿ˜ Essie is an icon she is beautiful inside and out she loves hard to those she cares for and she goes above and beyond to friends
Nate>>> omg Iโ€™m such a fan of a man who is a little nerdy and he is everything and more๐Ÿคญ he was down bad for Essie and I donโ€™t blame him๐Ÿ˜ I loved it so much and also loved little glimpse of characters thatโ€™s all ima say because I will not spoil it ๐Ÿคญ

I wish I could give this all the stars. I could not put it down! How does Helena make each book better and better?

Essie is the picture of sunshine and rainbows, while Nate is the grumpiest of grumps. They shared a kiss 6 years prior and because he wasn't good with feelings, he ghosted her. Now they are having to plan his brother and her best friends wedding as maid of honor and best man. Essie is still full of sunshine and always willing to help. Nate is beyond unprepared for the emotions she brings out in him. He was wrong about her all these years.

This story had me giggling and kicking my feet throughout, but then also heartbroken for these two. Essie taught Nate what love truly is and helped him see through his trauma to be able to give her the love she deserved. The emphasis on therapy and how well it works was done so well. I loved how supportive all the friends and families were throughout the story. Flip had me cracking up so much with his banter towards Nate and incessant flirting with Essie just to poke at Nate. I adored getting to visit all of the hockey team and girlfriends again as well. Helena had hooked so fast with this one. Every moment was full of fun, drama, and heartwarming moments.

Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton narrated this one and they did amazing! I am convinced Teddy can do no wrong in narrating any book, he really pulls you in and brings the story to life. This is the first one I have read from Savannah Peachwood and I thought she did just as amazing and will be looking for her name for future audiobooks!

Thank you so much Helena and team for the advanced copies in exchange for my honest review!

Helena always writes stories that cover every emotion on the spectrum. I love the authenticity of these characters and the family they found in each other. The BBB is amazing, there is nothing more inspiring than a group of women lifting each other up. No spoilers but there are so many cameos in this one!

Helena Hunting does it again with another fun filled hit! Iโ€™m not sure how she does it but she is always able to have a great plot filled with serious topics that also feels light and fun.
I love a grumpy/sunshine, Nate and Essie delivered it perfectly. I love how well rounded they were as characters. Especially Essie, just because sheโ€™s fun and pretty doesnโ€™t mean thatโ€™s all she was and it was special to see Nate realize he had it all wrong. I felt all the emotions with this one. I laughed at the banter and felt so sad for them in the lows, and the spice did not disappoint. It was the perfect mixture!

This book is full of so many of our most loved characters, it was an added bonus to see more of their stories.

Iโ€™ll be honest Iโ€™m not a big audio book girly but I really enjoyed the duet narration by Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton. Their voices played off each other so well and the chemistry was real. The spice was hot and I even enjoyed the secondary characters voices the narrators did, which is normally where an audio book loses me. The production was over all really well done.

I enjoyed every minute of this book, both reading and listening and canโ€™t wait to see more of this found family.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this book as an ARC and ALC (through NetGalley).
