Thank you Helena and Netgalley for the ARC!
This audio was great- loved the narrators!
Nate and Essie had a moment 6 years ago.... but we don't talk about that.
Nate's brother and Essie's best friend are getting married, and that means they have to work together as best man and maid of honor.
What follows is a story full of banter, chemistry, seeing each other for more than what's on the surface, and great friendships.
Helena is the queen of fun, entertaining books that deal with serious topics in a way that gives so much to the story.
I also loved all the cameos from all the characters in her previous Toronto Terror books.
Tropes:
Opposites attract
Grumpy x sunshine
Second chance
Best man x maid of honor

Helena Hunting is always going to deliver a fun romcom with plenty of laughs and spice.
I really enjoyed our main couple. Essie and Nate have known each other since high school but Nate ghosted Essie after they shared a kiss. Understandly, Essie is upset and angry at Nate for this. However, they are forced together because of a wedding. Watching these two bicker and fight their love was fun. The banter was great and the chemistry between them sizzles. The spice is steamy too.
Narrators Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton did wonderful bringing this to life. I laughed so hard because of their line deliveries. Would recommend the audiobook for sure!
For readers who have read the Toronto Terrors series, there are a cameos from previous characters which was cool. I would still say you could read this as a standalone.
Would recommend!

This was such a cute book, set within the Toronto Terrors series! The features Nate and Essie, the best man and maid of honor in Rix and Tristan’s wedding (the first book in Toronto Terrors series). As they work (aka compete) to make the wedding events as fun as possible, they learn a lot about each other also. Here were some of the things I loved in this book:
📖 I love how Nate is considered the “hot nerd,” which is a nice departure from the hockey players. Don’t get me wrong, I love Toronto Terrors, but I equally loved businessman/scientist Nate.
📖 Nate was the quintessential grump to Essie’s sunshine. I loved that despite how different their personalities are, they have more in common than they originally thought.
📖 Speaking of, the fact that they are both organizers who love excel and spreadsheets warmed my type A heart.
📖It was awesome reading about all of the characters from the Toronto Terror series and getting caught up with each relationship.
📖 The narration was fantastic! Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood honestly can’t do any wrong. I loved the duet style narration and how they portrayed each character.
📖 I wanted to cry at Nate’s story and leftover baggage from his childhood.
I’m excited to see how the plot twist in the epilogue developed!! I hope we get to see more of that story as well as another couple hinted at throughout the book!
Thank you Helena Hunting for the ARC and ALC and the opportunity to review the book before publication!

generally an okay romance but as always the characters really needed more self awareness and therapy and it feels likeonly one of them really got it!

As with all Helena Hunting books, I had fun listening to the story and absolutely loved all the side characters! Unfortunately, Essie wasn’t a relatable character for me. She was way too focused on fairytale romances and wanting to find her one true love (I mean really, binge watching princess movies after a breakup or decorating your adult apartment in with fairy tale posters?) despite all my eye rolls at Essie, I still enjoyed this story. While Essie wasn’t my favorite character on her own, I liked her snark when she was around Nate and her devotion to her best friend was amazing to see. This story was like a reunion of characters throughout Helena Huntings different series and I absolutely loved it, it’s always fun to see glimpses of characters you’ve loved through the years! I can’t wait for Dredd’s story, she is my favorite… with having a weakness for tattoos and reading multiple books while on vacation, she calls to me! Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood did a great job narrating and bringing all these characters to life!

I really enjoyed this book and the characters connection. However I wish the plot of the book was also about them. It felt like it was a background story to trix’s story. But I really really liked Essie, she’s a strong woman. And Nate the hot nerd were allllll for that.
The spice was great

I Could Be Yours was another amazing book by Helena Hunting!
I was super excited for Essie's book ever since she was introduced in If You Hate Me. It did not disappoint! Essie and Nate were both such amazing characters, and I just couldn't get enough of them. It was easy to see the chemistry between them. I just loved listening to the audiobook! It was the best book to listen to, and the narrators made it an enjoyable listening experience!
I definitely recommend listening to this book!
Thank you Helena Hunting, for the free copy of ALC!

ICBY is a sweet and spicy second chance-ish romance between two opposites. Essie is the beautiful, makeup artist with a heart full of love and believes in fairy tales. She's given her heart freely in the past and has gotten her heart broken. Nate has been let down by every woman who should have loved him and, therefore, is reluctant to love again.
Six years earlier, Essie & Nate shared a kiss, then Nate ghosted her. Now Essie & Nate are the maid of honor and best man for Tristan & Rix's wedding (If You Hate Me). When you mix Essie, beautiful woman with a love for spreadsheets and organization with the hot, nerdy engineer Nate? Their competitive side comes out to play. They go from competing on shower games to who gets who off first 🔥
Both have tender hearts from past failed relationships, so they try to keep feelings at bay as they enter a **casual** relationship. But that never works 😂
Helena Hunting has done a wonderful job of intertwining the Toronto Terror and Tilton University series.I loved getting tid bits from our previous couples and excited for our couples to come.
Narrated in duet by Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood. Teddy & Savannah were wonderful and bring extra fun to the audiobook.

Nate and Essie shared one kiss six years ago, but neither of them wants to acknowledge it as they help her best friend and his brother get ready for their wedding. Only they can't ignore the tension between them. They agree to be friends with benefits until after the wedding. But what will happen when real feelings start growing?

I adored every second of I Could Be Yours! It wasn't quite enemies to lovers, but there was some definite tension and competition between Nate and Essie. I love that he really saw her. That he saw how beautiful she was inside and out, when most people only focused on how 'pretty' she is. They complemented each other perfectly. Organized, meticulous, smart, and both looking for acceptance. And the destination wedding was the perfect backdrop for romance.
I Could Be Yours can be read as a standalone. There is a lot of overlap with the Toronto Terror series, but you don't have to read those to follow along.

Mr. Grump and Little Miss Sunshine are the epitome of opposites attract in this second chance romance. It’s all chemistry and competition for this best man and maid of honor.
Nate and Essie are two great characters introduced earlier in the Toronto Terror series. Readers could pick up that there was something between these two, but this story finally reveals all. Nate’s feelings on love, and his feelings about Essie, are complicated. They make him seem like a dark cloud. Essie, on the other hand, has decided to be rainbows and sunshine despite her past interactions with love. Now the two are repeatedly thrown together as best man and maid of honor for Tristan and Rix (the couple from the first book in the Terror series).
This book is a lot of fun as we see Nate and Essie’s incredible competence and their competitive nature inspire each other. We see them interact at every pre-wedding festivity, and eventually at the destination wedding itself.
Readers also start to see new sides of some of the other characters in this story and get a few glimpses at the romances to come.
I listened to the audio version of this book, and was delighted by the duet narration. The narrators were a fantastic choice and do an excellent job of bringing the story to life.

4.5⭐ for I Could Be Yours by Helena Hunting
Helena Hunting never misses, and this Toronto Terror world has been one of my favorites she's written, I just love these books so much! This one is related to that world, and can be read as a standalone, though I feel I enjoyed it more having read the rest of the series because of all the cameos from previous characters.
I loved Nate and Essie's connection, and learning more about them both together and apart; there were hints about them in the previous books and getting their story was so fun! Their chemistry was off-the-charts, and I loved how their nerdiness complimented the other's, and especially how Nate appreciated Essie for her personnality instead of only focusing on her looks like her previous relationships. He actually saw her for who she was, and it made their connection so much deeper; he loves her little quirks, and even encourages them.
Nate is the hot nerd we all need, smart and funny and kind, thoughtful and a bit ~dirty~ and I adored him! I wanted to hug him so bad for the things he went through with his mother, and I loved that he stepped up to work on his issues because he wanted to be a better man for Essie.
The strongest part of these books for me is the found family aspect, I find it so well done, and I love the way these characters always have each other's backs, no questions asked. Also loved the way this book sets up Connor and Dred's story, I know I'll be feral for them when it's their turn!
The duet narration completely enhanced the story for me, the chemistry and banter was *chef's kiss* between Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood's amazing narration.
Thank you to Helena Hunting and Netgalley for a copy in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.

Wow, I fell in love with this story! This book takes only a matter of moments to fall into & the story of Nate and Essie is so sweet and so much fun! While they are attracted to one another they make solid attempts to keep any feelings under wraps; both have been burned by love. Nate keeps a wall built around his heart due to his past experience with love. Essie is looking for the fairytale romance which could be every little girl’s dream at some point. She is such a romantic in every aspect of her life. There is witty banter, along with plenty of steamy moments between Nate and Essie. They might be in denial about their true feelings, but they are pros at teasing one another in numerous ways. I was happy to see many characters from previous stories make appearances in this book especially Rix since she & Essie have such a strong bond as best friends.
Both Savannah Peachwood & Teddy Hamilton provide enjoyable narrative performances for this book. The listener can hear their easy flow & pacing in their narrations of their characters. The story does not seem rushed in any way and I liked this approach since Nate and Essie need the easiness. Peachwood & Hamilton really capture the personalities of their characters especially with how they present them with the opposite views of love each character holds. Peachwood’s voice matches so nicely with Essie having a very relaxing, calming & easy feeling.
I truly enjoyed this book in audio form. I feel Peachwood & Hamilton are the perfect choices for the personalities of Essie & Nate. Definitely give it a listen!

If you are looking for a book with a bit of tension, banter, spice and laughs - Helena Hunting got you!
Nate and Essie has history and now they are best man/maid of honor for BFF and brother's wedding. The story is fun and full of casts from Hunting's books as it is about Rix and Tristan's wedding. I have not read their story and did not feel lost. I was able to see other beloved hockey players in her other books.
There's a lot of funny moments and tender moments as well. The wedding setting was so perfect to have these two get together.
I did find the comment about how pretty Essie was a bit over the top. This was a big theme in the story but it was knocked in our head a bit too many times for me.
The duet performance by Savanah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton truly made the story come to life.
Thank you @dreamscape_media @netgalley for a copy of this audiobook.

I don’t typically use audios as I’m scared the voices will ruin the spicy scenes for me but I was pleasantly surprised to find that wasn’t the case in this book! As soon as I got my hands on this AAC I knew what I was going to be listening to on our family road trip( via headphones of course). Personality I loved that they had two different people performing each of the characters pov and loved that the dialogue continued to be in their voice even given the pov of the other. The book itself was such a solid story filled with enemies to lovers banter, spicy scenes and tons of comedic relief. Personally if you follow Helena’s books you will love the nuggets she throws in of past characters like Kodiak and lavender as well as Tristan and Beas wedding adventures. The story between Nate and Essie was one I was anxiously awaiting and it didn’t disappoint- he’s tortured and nerdy and she’s the sunshine he needs in the dark. I love how much she loves love and I loved that he saw more than just her looks. Overall a treat!

Nate & Essie’s story was fantastic! We wouldn’t expect anything less from HH, would we? Nate is a true grump to Essie’s sweet, sunshine persona. If you live four family, I loathe every single human but “my person”, you’re gonna love this one! I also read this one with my ear holes snd Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood gave Nate and Essie LIFE! Top tier narration!
Just go ahead and read it, y’all. It’s Helena Hunting. You know it’s gonna be good! 😊 Many thanks to Net Galley for the ALC opportunity!

Amazing narration!
Essie and Nate are so cute. I loved the banter between them and the sexual tension was palpable. These two shared one kiss back in high school but Nate ghosted Essie leaving her with a distaste for him.
Years of banter and tension build up to a boiling point and these two give in to the temptation of opposites attract.
Nate is Tristan’s brother who is a hockey player for the Toronto Terrors. He is the best man in Tristan and Beatrix wedding for which Essie is the maid of honor. Nate is a hot nerd with abandonment issues. He doesn’t believe in long lasting love. Could Essie be the key to changing his views?
Essie is a make up artist and Beatrix best friend. She dreams of the fairytale love story. All the romantic things and a love that will withstand the test of time. She has had her heart broken more times than she can count because she falls deep too fast. Could Nate be the one to make her dreams come true?
I loved listening to this story. Truly enjoyed the development of their HEA. The spice was fantastic. And I loved Essie’s sassyness. Helena has given us another great love story.

OMG I loved this one! I am a sucker for Grumpy Sunshine books and Nate and Essie were perfection for that trope! Nate was a grump with a good reason. Essie was our sunshine girl who just wanted to make others feel good. Their Dislike to lovers story was a fun one! I loved seeing past characters to!

Thanks, Helena, for the advanced copies!
Essie Lovelock is busy doing all the maid of honor things for her best friend's wedding. The only hitch in her plans is Nate Stiles, best man and brother to the groom. He's a rain cloud personified. The master of the furrowed brow. He's also the one who gave her the best kiss of her life six years ago and - GASP - ghosted her!
Now they're thrown together organizing this destination wedding, the stag and doe and it's putting thoughts in their heads. The Aruba vibes are bringing romance vibes - she's in love with love and he doesn't believe it even exists. Can they find a common ground? Or is this just going to be yet another hookup?
Aaaaaah! I LOVED this one! This is quintessential Helena Hunting with the banter, the swoon, the friends, everything.
Though this can be read as a standalone, if you have been reading her books, you'll be in heaven. The wedding couple is Rix and Tristan. Nate is Tristan's brother. Essie is Cammie's sister. Flip is Rix's brother and as this is a wedding, well, the gang is all here!
This one has everything: grumpy hero, sunshine heroine, destination wedding shenanigans, fun in the sun, found family, the cucumber and sandwich jokes (IYKYK)...
I loved it 3000. And it gets even better when you listen to the audiobook. Essie and Nate come with the voices of Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton in duet! They were absolutely PERFECT in this. Savannah's voice is melodious and so versatile in portraying all the girls. Teddy is just adorable as the grumpy, besotted Nate who reluctantly falls head over heels (or rather admits that he has always been in love) with the girl he once ghosted.
I am Helena Hunting card-carrying fan and it's a joy when a book comes out. This was no exception. I devoured this one twice, first reading and then through audio.
All the jeweled, heart-shaped barbels! ;)
Content notes: mentions of child abandonment, financial insecurity, food insecurity (all historical)

I didn’t think I could love these characters and this story more than i already did, Savannah Peachwood &Teddy Hamilton took this story to a whole nother level. I’m glad I read “I could be yours” first before listening to the audio.
Pure Magic that is the best way to explain Helena Hunting writing. I COULD BE YOURS is magic, I love that Essie’s and Nate’s story is wrapped around her best friend’s Rix wedding to Tristan Stiles Nate’s brother. Essie and Nate shared a kiss in high school, he ghosted her & 6 yrs later they are both in charge of making sure it’s a magical day for Rixie & Tristan. Essie thinks Nate never liked her and Nate feels he was never good enough for her & now he feels he is unloveable because everyone leaves in the end.
The Narrator’s made it extra special they were exactly how Essie & Nate sounded in my head; also the way they brought all the characters to life was amazing! I didn’t think I could laugh & cry harder than I did when read the advance copy; I was wrong and it was awesome. I don’t want to give any the moments away by quoting any outrageous sayings, for the reader should experience them for themselves. Congratulations Helena Hunting.

Obsessed!! I Could Be Yours by Helena Hunting was an alluring and swoony second-chance, opposites-attract romance that I devoured from start to finish. I couldn’t get enough of Essie and Nate’s hilarious and heartfelt journey to HEA. Plus, all the character cameos at Tristan and Rix’s wedding had my heart singing! This is a new favorite from Helena for sure!
Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton perform this audiobook in duet-style narration. This pairing is one of my all-time favorite narrator pairings, and both narrators fully embodied Essie and Nate. Savannah’s soft, intimate tone embraced Essie’s dainty, passionate personality perfectly, making you ache for her to find her true happiness with Nate. Teddy does what he does best, making Nate so lovable and relatable, creating just the right amount of tension and desire between him and Essie. Plus, the undeniable chemistry was HOT right from he start between Essie and Nate.
Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a destination wedding romance with a hot hunk engineer, a dedicated hardworker, and a planner, wedding festivities, second chances, limbo fun, steamy shed kisses, all the character cameos, dance lessons, run-ins with exes, Vegas bachelorette/ bachelor party fun, spicy spice, an Aruba wedding, family drama, learning to let love in, love declarations, intimate conversations, and a HEA that is pretty in pink, then you will love Essie and Nate’s story. I always look forward to more from Helena Hunting.
