Before you read this book, I recommend at a minimum reading the Toronto Terror series and Chase Lovett Wants Me to understand the Easter eggs. There are also nods to her other series, so I suggest checking out her entire back catalog! I am excited to dive into the Tally and Flip book, as well as the stories about Conor, Dred, and Brody. I look forward to exploring those further! I was intrigued by their nuggets in the story and can’t wait to continue! I enjoyed Essie and Nate at the beginning! They had me hooked, and I love a good second chance!  Check it out! You don’t want to miss it! Audio was so fire!!!

4.5 Stars We love a man who goes to therapy!! I Could Be Yours was everything I was hoping for from Nate and Essie's story.

Essie Lovelock has held a grudge against Nate Stiles ever since he ghosted her six years ago after kissing her. Now they are the best man and maid of honor in the wedding of Tristan and Rix, Nate's brother and Essie's best friend. The two are constantly thrown together as the wedding grows closer, but it's clear that the two weren't meant to be. Essie is a love-obsessed fairytale fanatic and Nate doesn't believe in love. But maybe some no strings fun would be alright to blow off some wedding planning steam, right?

I've been waiting for Nate and Essie's story since we first met them in Tristan and Rix's story, If You Hate Me, and having their story set against the backdrop of Tristan and Rix's wedding was perfect and felt full circle. I'm always a fan of when the main characters seek therapy to deal with their pasts and especially loved that for Nate's journey. He had been hurt in the past and I think seeing Tristan's development helped him kickstart his own, along with his feelings for Essie. Despite very different past experiences, Nate and Essie were so similar when it came to their belief in their ability to be loved. I loved seeing them overcome their pasts to be together. Such a great story and great characters!
