Six years ago, Essie and Nate shared a kiss, then he disappeared. Now, fate has brought them back together as maid of honor and best man, forced to plan wedding events side by side. The chemistry is still very much there, but Essie is determined to keep her distance. She’s holding out for a fairytale romance, and she’s convinced Nate isn’t the type to believe in happily ever after. Of course, resisting each other doesn't last long, but Essie remains guarded, unsure if she can trust Nate with her heart again.
Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton were a delight as Essie and Nate, bringing their flirty banter and tension to life making it a fun listen. If you're a fan of second chance romances with witty banter you'll want to give this one a listen!

What I'm Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 The absolute perfect characters/book to put in DUET narration because they have so much grumpy/sunshine personality and are both quite chatty and a little bit dirty talking! Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood will have your smile smirking and panties melting--they bring to life all the feels, especially the hot and sensual and funnnnnn ones!
🤩 Maid of Honor & Best Man, with a tiny bit of history that makes for enemies-to-lovers banter.
🤩 When you want to highlight everything they say to each other.
🤩 Pre-wedding shenanigans--with a little competitive spirit, some button pushing, and lots of forced proximity!
🤩 Tropical destination wedding.
🤩 So edgy and hot with amazing chemistry.
🤩 The wedding plot and oh my gosh moment.
🤩 Anybody else love a dressing room scene?!
🤩 All the emotions & heart totally healed.
🤩 Character growth and being there for each other.
🤩 Beautifully written therapy representation.
🤩 Oh goodness, the best, most fitting, role-play ending! 🤴👸🏻
What I'm Wishing/Dizzy About:
💫 Flip made me cry, say what?! (But he's also fabulous comedic relief. )
💫 Can totally be a standalone, but there are lots of characters--it might be a little more enjoyable if you know them from The Toronto Terror series (plus little cameos from Chase Lovett Wants Me & Little Lies if you're a Helena Hunting superfan like me) all books I adore and highly recommend.

I Could Be Yours is not a Toronto Terror book, but only because Nate is not one of the Terror, and this is not a hockey romance. However, the book feels related to the series since the MMC, Nate, is Tristan’s brother, Flip’s roommate, and the majority of the book revolves around Tristan and Rix’s wedding. Essie, of course, is Rix’s best friend.
This book has solid enemies to lovers vibes at the start, but in true Helena Hunting fashion, it gets spicy fast. They are the Best Man and Maid of Honor at the wedding and have to figure out how to work together to make this wedding everything Rix and Tristan deserve.
I loved this book, I love all of the Terror books and was beyond thrilled to receive this ARC. Thank you to Helena and team for letting me be a part of the BBB and for sending me this advanced copy!!

"I Could Be Yours" by Helena Hunting is a romance about the groom’s brother and his best man, and the bride-to-be’s best friend and maid of honor, Essie. Both had been in the same social circles and attended the same high school. Before Nate left for college, Essie and Nate shared a kiss, and he promised to call or text, but instead, he ghosted her, leaving no communication. Now, they are once again in each other’s lives through their roles in Rix and Tristen’s destination wedding. Essie is a girl who believes in love and romance, while Nate is a grumpy, cynical guy who has lost faith in true love due to his past experiences of abandonment. How “Little Miss Sunshine” and “The Grump” fall for each other makes this a timeless romance. The tension and slow burn develop into explosions as they risk one more kiss, eventually leading to more. But can that lead to true love—the real thing romance novels are made of? Helena Hunting writes romances with unmatched flair. "I Could Be Yours" by Helena Hunting is filled with drama, heat, and spice, and always ends with a HEA. I Could Be Yours" is available as an audiobook, narrated by fan favorites Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood, who excel at bringing the story to life and helping listeners feel connected to the characters' lives and experiences.

4.25 stars
Duet audio by Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood, two narrators I know and love! They both do a great job bringing Nate and Essie to life and having it duet instead of dual narration is an extra treat.
This is technically a standalone but you should really read the Toronto Terror series because otherwise you'd be missing out on so much of the whole wedding element... If you've read the TT series so far then you'll know all the characters involved here and will have already picked up on the tension between the main characters. Here we finally have their story as the wedding preparations play out with Nate and Essie as the best man/maid of honour for Tristan and Rix.
I enjoyed the story and it flows easily (as expected from an author I know well). My main reasons for marking this as a 4 or 4.25 star read is the amount of focus on the other TT couples. Yes I wanted to read about the wedding and catch up with all the other couples but it took the focus away from Nate and Essie a little too much I think. Still really looking forward to Dred and Connor's story next...

Nate and Essie are everything. A deliciously spicy slow burn at a steady pace.
This book perfectly blends humor, romance, and a pinch of emotional vulnerability. The will-they-won’t-they tension is beautifully drawn, and the backdrop of wedding chaos only heightens the drama and fun..
Final verdict: 100 % recommend. It’s a sparkling enemies-to-lovers romance filled with sass, swoon, and unexpected moments. You’ll root for Essie and Nate every step of the way—even when they’re determined not to root for each other.

I absolutely loved Nate and Essie's story in Could Be Yours. It is set in the Toronto Terror universe, but it also works as an interconnected standalone (though l'd absolutely recommend reading all of those amazing books too!!)
Nate and Essie are the best man and maid of honour in Nate's brother Tristan's and Essie's best friend Rix's wedding. But 6 years ago they shared a kiss and he ghosted her.... they've been at odds ever since. Nate doesn't believe in love and Essie is a romantic. So naturally, they're incredibly attracted to one another! The grumpy x sunshine dynamic was so well done and loved how Essie called Nate on his broody nonsense all the time.
Helena wrote a great push-pull dynamic, and theirs was so satisfying. The competitive streak (| too enjoy winning party games, thank you very much!) cranked up the tension between the two and it was delicious. My man Nate was so gone for Essie. The pining was superb.
I absolutely love the found family and the entire cast of characters. They're just so lovable! As a Canadian the landmark nods always make me smile - who doesn't stop at Webers on the way to the cottage?
The narration was EXCELLENT!! I love Savannah and Teddy and they both did an amazing job. Teddy was just the right amount of broody and Savannah was so bright but with the right amount of sass. Just perfect. The production was great and I listened to it on various devices, earbuds, over the ear headphones, in the car etc and it was great everywhere.
Thank you Helena Hunting and Dreamscape Media for the ALC.

Happy release day Helena, and thank you for the ALC! 😍 I loved Nate & Essie, they were so fun and the banter, tension and build-up was so hot!!
Whether you’re brand new to Helena’s books, or you’ve read every single word she’s ever written (like me 💁🏻♀️) this book is a great glimpse of the incredible world of characters Helena has built over the years. It’s a great summer read for by the pool, on the beach, or cozy at home!
And, if there’s one thing Helena does well (aside from hot Hockey romances, obviously 😏) it’s DROP A FREAKING SURPRISE BOMB about other characters 🤯 yet again, I squealed when I heard what’s to come in the Toronto Terror series (and yes, I have dash cam footage again to prove it 😂)
Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood brought Nate and Essie to life flawlessly in duet narration, and did an amazing job showing the chemistry these two characters had from the start. Both have gotten me into new authors because I saw them as the narrators on Audible, so you know if at least one of them is involved, it’s bound to be 🔥.

Quotes:
“Take your broody a$$hole down a notch, Nathan. Your black cloud is dimming my shine.”
“All this time, she’s been right in front of me, and I finally see her.”
Oh my goodness~~~ I devoured this ALC in a day! A DAY!!!! Savannah Peachwood and Teddy Hamilton are sizzling in this!
This is a second chance romance and Essie’s sparkle to Nathan’s darkness is the perfect blend!
I was also so excited with the cameos of the characters from the Toronto Terror Series. It revolves around Bea and Tristan’s wedding! I really loved Bea and Tristan’s story so it was an absolute bonus to see them plan their wedding!
The banter is so good! The spice is so good!
I love how Helena can create a plot that is both funny yet have serious topics throughout the book. I loved watching Essie and Nathan grow and really work through their issues, especially Nathan! Nathan’s baggage really makes you want to hug him and never let go.
This was the perfect summer book I needed!

Essie and Nate were PURE MAGIC, and I loved their story so much! From the moment I got a taste of the tension between them in Chase Lovett Wants Me, I was hoping Helena would bring joy to my life by giving me more of them, and she did not disappoint. Essie and Nate’s story was full of the banter, spice, good humor, and found family I’ve come to look forward to from Helena.
Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood knocked it out of the park. They were phenomenal as Nate and Essie, a truly dynamic narrating duo. Teddy Hamilton is a favorite narrator of mine and he never fails to make me fall in love with the character he voices. His portrayal of Nate’s grumpiness and faithlessness in love made me feel all the things. Essie could not have found a better voice than Savannah. She did wonders in giving life to Essie’s sunshine personality and embodied all the passion during the spicy scenes, making the scenes that much more real and appealing.
I Could Be Yours was a captivating and entertaining romance with a perfect mix of sweetness, spice, and humor. Helena once again delivered an addictive story that I couldn’t get enough of. This story is perfect for fans of grumpy/sunshine, hilarious banter, and found family dynamic.

This book is pure wedding chaos meets emotional healing.... and I was here for every second.
Essie is all pink, princess, glitter & good intentions. Nate? Broody, burned & a professional at ghosting women who make him feel things. But when they're reunited six years after that kiss and forced to plan a wedding together as maid of honor and best man? The tension is palpable.
The chemistry? Five-alarm fire.
The duet narration is fantastic!!!
Savannah Peachwood IS Essie-sweet, vulnerable and calm... until she isn't. One of my fave performances from her yet.
Peachwood exudes a palpable softness, even during the emotional whiplash. She's got wedding spreadsheets and weaponized sarcasm locked down.
Teddy Hamilton proves (again) that he's our reigning king of grumpy-soft MMCs - he can narrate a grocery list and still have us swooning. His portrayal of Nate's slow unraveling... from cold to cracked wide open, was perfection. His Nate is layered, hot and haunted—in the best way.
Together? Absolute magic. Their voices blend so seamlessly, I got dragged straight into a romantic undertow... zero regrets, no lifeguard on duty and I was loving every second underwater.
The Toronto Terror cameos? YES PLEASE. I loved checking in with past couples and getting sneak peeks of what's to come.
This one is an easy, spicy, summer listen.

Big thanks to @helenahunting for the ARC & ALC-I'm so proud to be part of Helena’s Badass Babe Brigade.

This series is everything!! 😍 Nate & Essie are the epitome of grumpy and sunshine, lol. Nate, always so serious & intense. Essie, always so upbeat & hopeful. They have a bit of history, and while working on Tristan and Rix‘s wedding together, history starts to repeats itself. And it’s definitely better the second time around!! Teddy Hamilton & Savannah Peachwood bring so much life & fun to the story, they make it so much fun to listen to. Can’t get enough of this series!!! ❤️

This was a fun romcom that had me giggling almost the entire time. This was a great feel good summer romance listen.
Essie is a the sunshine personality, pink loving maid of honor. She believes in the princess fairytale and wants the happily ever after. Nate is the grumpy and doesn’t believe in love best man. They shared a kiss 6 years ago that neither of them could forget, but he ghosted her afterwards. And now they are stuck working close together again helping to make sure this wedding goes off without any issues.
The banter between these two is amazing! But they also have chemistry and a spark that’s been lingering for the last 6 years and after another kiss and stolen moments, the two can’t seem to get enough of each other. But Nate is also dealing with some deep down issues that’s holding him back.
Helena knows how to make characters that are related and will have you cracking up and swooning.

Absolutely loved Essie and Nate!
This book was full of fun dialogue, witty comebacks, sweet and sexy moments. A standalone novel that embraced the connections of characters/couples from other Helena Hunting Series which make it that much more enjoyable. Let's be honest, who doesn't love to catch up with past characters?
Essie harbored both feelings and embarrassment from her interaction with Nate before he headed off to college. Now spending time with him while assisting with her best friend's wedding stirs up emotions. Close quarters leaves these two in a compromising position which had me laughing out loud.
Nate was more of the serious of the two. He has family baggage that makes him weary of his self worth. But he's always found Essie to be irresistible and being around her tends to bring out his possessive side. His interactions with Flip were comical.
These two had a current of electricity flowing between them. Spending time together showed them that they had a deeper connection than they anticipated.
This is a great introduction to Helena Hunting for new readers and can send you off to meet several other couples in this author's universe.

I Could Be Yours was cute and spicy, which is pretty much everything I need in a romance. Essie was my kind of sunshine girl - obsessed with spreadsheets, organization, and the color pink, but with a bit of a wild side when she let herself loose. Nate was the typical grump who couldn’t imagine falling in love, which I totally understood because he had a really crappy childhood view of it. Overall they were a great balance for each other.
I did feel like there was a little something missing from the book in terms of emotions. It felt like a sudden jump from frenemies-with-benefits to love, without much emotional relationship building in between. They did get the emotions flushed out toward the end, but I would’ve loved to see a bit more pining and inner turmoil from Nate in particular before the third-act breakup.
This is the start of a new spin-off series from the Toronto Terror (which I haven’t read yet) and it stood alone just fine. I usually hate dropping into interconnected standalones in the middle of the series, but this gave us just enough to get to know the characters from previous books while not feeling like the focus was on them or making it confusing that we didn’t start at the beginning of the friendships. That said, I’m definitely going to go back and read the Terror series now, because I loved the relationships/characters that were carried over to this new series!
The duet audiobook narration by Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood was perfect. They’re two of my favorite romance narrators and they executed their banter flawlessly. It came across so much better in duet than it would have in dual, so I’m glad they chose that style. The overall production was super well done - you couldn’t tell whether they recorded in the same room or had their recordings spliced together, which to me is the mark of a great audiobook.
Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and Helena Hunting for the ARC of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review! I received it as part of Helena’s Badass Babe Brigade Street Team (my first ARC from her!) and I’m so glad I was able to read it early!

What happens when the sunshine & rainbows Maid of Honor and the doom & gloom rain cloud Best Man start secretly hooking up while prepping for the wedding?
If it’s a Helena Hunting book, there’s chaos, laughs, banter, and epically awesome spicy scenes abound! 😂
Essie is a lover of all things pink and glitter, loves dresses and shoes, and LOVES fairytales. She’s just waiting to find the Prince Charming for her own love story. Her love of love stories is why she is determined to make sure her best friend has the absolute perfect wedding of her dreams. Essie takes her Maid of Honor duties seriously and she will not let anyone dull the shine of this wedding, that includes the Best Man.
Nate is the total opposite of Essie. He is the dark rain cloud to Essie’s sunshine and rainbows. Nate doesn’t believe that love can last because everyone leaves. His past relationship experiences have not helped his views on love. And Essie’s constant effervescent attitude and joy are driving him up the wall. Could it be just annoyance, a fleeting attraction…or could it be something more?
Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood did a phenomenal job bringing Nate and Essie to life with this narration. This is the perfect summer listen!
I Could Be Yours can be read as a complete standalone. If you’ve never read a Helena Hunting story before, this is a great place to jump in! If you’re a long time HH fan, like me, you’ll see familiar faces that just bring you all the warm and fuzzies, but they are not the focus of the story.

This book was so sweet and filled with Helena’s classic wittiness and humor. I loved how real the story felt and the journey both Nate and Essie took to better themselves so they could be completely committed to their relationship. Nate’s character showed the most growth as the story progresses and as a reader you feel for the things he went through as a child and the same struggles as an adult. I loved the dynamic between Rix and Tristan and the real conversations about marriage and maturity! The diverse cast of characters was so fun, there are a few cameos of characters from her other books (Chase Lovett Wants Me, If You Hate Me, etc).
Overall, I truly enjoyed reading “I Could Be Yours!” Teddy and Savannah were INCREDIBLE narrators! This is the perfect summer romance read that will have you thinking about the story well after you’ve finished it!
Thank you so much @HelenaHunting for allowing me to read AND listen to an early copy of “I Could Be Yours!”

I Could Be Yours is the perfect summer rom-com that left a huge smile on my face. I love a good second-chance romance, but add in grumpy/sunshine vibes and fun banter, and I am all in. Essie and Nate shared a kiss 6 years ago, but the next day, Nate ghosted her, and they haven’t talked since. Now, their best friends are getting married, and Essie and Nate are stuck spending a lot of time together. As they plan the wedding events, old feelings start to come back, and they start to see each other in a different light. I loved the push and pull between these two. They are opposites, but somehow they fit well together. Essie is all sunshine, loves pink, and believes in true love. She's a makeup artist who dreams of a fairytale romance. Nate is grumpy and broken, but also vulnerable. He is trying to deal with past trauma. Their story is steamy, fun, and full of laughs, but what I loved most was the character growth. Realizing the need for help is a huge step for anyone to take, and I loved that Nate wanted to be better for Essie. In the end, Nate does the work, and we get a super satisfying happy ending.
Narration:
Savannah Peachwood & Teddy Hamilton perform this audiobook in duet. I had a really good time listening to their performances as Essie and Nate. These two are super talented voice actors and flawlessly brought the story to life. Savannah and Teddy nailed the swoon, banter, tension, and the delicious chemistry between Essie and Nate.

This one is so cute I loved these characters and it’s the perfect read for summer!
Definitely recommend listening to
Thank you to the author and NETGALLEY for the ALC

Essie is a princess loving sunshine to Nate's Grumpy. This was such an incredible book. I loved the history between these two.
Their chemistry was absolutely off the charts even when they acted like they didn't like each other. What an incredible book. There were some absolutely amazing tender moments between the two.
I love how they worked through their deep rooted issue.
Incredible book! I'm excited for the next one.
