Thank you to Amy Hutton and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this ARC.
This was an easy 5-star read for me! Ghosted had me hooked from the very first page right through to the end. It’s the perfect blend of cute, spooky, heartwarming, and suspenseful. I especially loved the story between Callum and Holly—though I’ll keep the details to myself so you can enjoy discovering it for yourself.
The plot twist towards the end completely caught me off guard, and I loved every second of it! This is the perfect read to curl up with for the upcoming spooky season, and I can’t recommend it enough.
(Book review will be posted to my Instagram within the next week)

" 'I hate the word "normal",' I say. 'What does it even mean? No one's normal. We're all different. Normal. Such bullshit.'"
This is the perfect read for the spooky season, and I flew through it! I'm not normally the biggest paranormal reader, but as soon as I saw Amy Hutton had written this book I had to request it. I really loved Love From Scratch, and I enjoy the characters she writes. They're all relatable, witty and so loveable, and Holly and Callum were no exception.
I thought Holly's vulnerabilities and insecurities were realistic, if the tiniest bit irritating at times. The tension and the chemistry that she had with Callum was well done, and they both developed so well as characters as the story went on. The spirits and the paranormal aspect of the story was spooky enough to deter me from reading at night while home alone, but still light enough that the romance storyline still had centre stage.
I really enjoyed this one! If you're a romance reader, definitely check it out 🙂
Thank you so much to Simon and Schuster and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

"Magic or not, you've got to admit you're something special Holly Daniels."
Holly's been able to see ghosts for a while, and stumbling upon a Latin saying shes able to send them off. Callum is a paranormal podcaster and ex boyfriend that Holly ghosted. They get invited to remove the ghosts at an old mansion at East Mill with the promise of a big payout. However there's something off about this mansion and they have no information about the hauntings. Holly and Callum have to solve the mysteries with the ghosts and uncover the truth about the mansion and their feelings.
Ok. If you haven't realized I'm an absolute sucker for any paranormal romance and this one was perfect. It was spooky, there was fun tension and romantic. The way that Amy writes about sensations makes them feel real and I really loved the ghosts.
This is definitely a book for you if you love paranormal mystery, romance, tension and forced proximity.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I loved this paranormal romance by Amy! This is a second chance romance between Holly, a ghost whisperer, and Callum, a paranormal investigator with his own podcast. They worked together previously before a misunderstanding forced them apart for 2 years. Now Callum needs Holly’s help investigating a historically haunted house and the mysteries it entails.
I loved Holly and Callum’s growth together. The tension was great and the spice just right (although I would have loved more 😂). If the idea of ghosts and hauntings don’t freak you out and you loved Meg Cabot’s Mediator series like I did as a young adult, then this book is for you!

I really enjoyed Ghosted. I thought the plot was fantastic, I loved the paranormal ghost storyline. I haven't read a paranormal romance in ages but I've been really drawn to them lately! I've also read all of Amy Hutton's previous books, so I was very eager to dive into this one.
As mentioned, the storyline was perfect. Holly has these awesome powers that allow her to see ghosts and return them to the wherever ghosts go in the afterlife. Callum is a paranormal investigator with his own podcast. Essentially a match made in heaven, but there's a bunch of tension due to a previous encounter between the two of them. To me, the romance element felt forced. I didn't think Holly and Callum actually had any chemistry, they didn't trust each other and the constant push and pull seemed a bit unnecessary. There was great character development throughout, and I was rooting for the two of them by the end.
I like Amy Hutton's style of writing, it flows really easily and I like how descriptive she is. The Western House history was fascinating, I enjoyed the journey of uncovering the mystery within the House.
Huge thank you to Simon and Schuster, Atria Books and Netgalley for the eARC! :)

Ghosted is a cosy, slow burn paranormal romance with heart, humour, and a generous dose of ghostly chaos. If you love second chance romances with just the right amount of spooky vibes, this one’s for you.
Holly Daniels is a professional ghost whisperer who’s used to banishing vengeful spirits, but when it comes to her own personal hauntings, namely Callum Jefferies, she’s not quite so composed. Two years ago, Holly ghosted Callum after things went sour between them. Now he’s back in her inbox with a favour to ask, help him investigate the haunted East Mill house for his wildly popular paranormal podcast.
Despite her best judgement, Holly can’t resist the call of East Mill and soon finds herself face to face with both a string of eerie hauntings and the ex she never truly got over. Forced to share adjoining rooms at a rundown bed and breakfast and work side by side, Holly and Callum must navigate unquiet spirits, creepy family secrets, and the lingering embers of their own relationship.
The tension between them is thick with past hurt and unspoken feelings. The romantic build up is a classic slow burn, and Amy Hutton writes it with the kind of charm and chemistry that makes every awkward moment, near touch, and quiet confession feel earned. Their banter is top notch and filled with emotional depth, and their eventual reconnection is both satisfying and tender.
The supernatural mystery at the heart of the book is genuinely gripping. Hutton weaves in eerie ghostly moments, mysterious deaths, and a haunting tied to seventeenth century witch trials that actually pre date the Salem trials. There’s an undercurrent of historical weight that adds richness to the story without dragging down the pace.
What really stood out for me was Holly’s internal struggle with the ethics of her gift. Should every ghost be vanquished just because they’re lingering? That emotional nuance added another layer to the story that I really appreciated.
My only small gripe was the final act conflict, which felt a touch unnecessary given the emotional growth the characters had already been through. But it didn’t take away from how enjoyable the journey was overall.
Ghosted is a delightful blend of paranormal intrigue, emotional healing, and romantic redemption. With ghostly encounters, unresolved chemistry, and a strong sense of place, it’s a perfect curl up on the couch read for fans of spooky romance with a beating heart at its core.

Ghosted by Amy Hutton is the perfect cosy winter read. It’s truly delightful.
Holly Daniels is a ghost hunter living in New York City, and Callum is a paranormal investigator with a podcast. Two years prior, Holly ghosted (ha!) Callum just after they first met.
Callum gets a request to come and make a podcast on the Western House in East Mill. He reaches out to Holly to ask if she’d like to help him with the case. When Holly agrees, they both drive to East Mill and start investigating the Western House and its former residents.
The mystery around the Western House had me under its spell until the end of the book – it was my fave part of this novel.
I loved Holly, even when she was being distant and keeping secrets. Callum was the sweetest book boyfriend, even when he was keeping secrets.

This was the paranormal romance book I needed!
I loved Callum and Holly's relationship and how he accepted her for all of her quirky traits but she was equally as patient.
We didn't know if Callum was a good guy or a bad guy until late in the book, so I enjoyed the suspense of this part.
When they finally started to communicate properly it was a relief! Jason was a great side character, offered us a glimpse into Callum's personal side which was really nice.
I did find the pacing a bit slow but still definitely enjoyed it!
Thank you to Simon & Schuster & NetGalley for the gifted copy.

Ghosted is exactly what you’d expect in a contemporary romance with paranormal vibes - unhinged ghosts, second chances and a hint of spice.
Callum and Holly’s second chance romance was a slow burn and I mean a slow burn. Holly was so uncertain if she even wanted to work with Callum (her ex she ghosted some time back) since he’s in the same paranormal field, let alone try again with him. From learning to work together and sort out their unresolved feelings about their almost date years before, Callum and Holly both showed character development in their own way even if it took Holly a bit longer than Callum.
My only downside to this book was that in my opinion there was a third break up act that wasn’t really necessary as both Callum and Holly had kept massive secrets from each other that it felt unnecessary.
Thank you Simon & Schuster (Australia) / Atria Australia, Netgalley and Amy Hutton for the eARC.

2.5 stars
I was really excited for this since I love paranormal books. The ghost hunting aspect was really cool and entertaining. However the main characters and their romance felt very juvenile. The FMC in particular was really immature, getting mad at minor things. I found their dialogue cringy and cliche. The romance did start to grow on me a tiny bit towards the end. There were some events in the book that I won’t mention because of spoilers but they were so ridiculous that I was laughing even though they were not meant to be funny moments. I also feel like Jason’s character took time away from the two main characters where they could have been developing their relationship and making it feel more believable. While some parts of this book were enjoyable enough to keep me reading, I honestly couldn’t wait for it to be over. I can see other people liking this book if the romance works for them but it just didn’t work for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster for sending me an eArc to review.

Firstly THANK YOU to Amy Hutton for this arc because I genuinely absolutely devoured this in one sitting. I could not put it down and it hooked me honestly from chapter 1!
Holly the FMC in this book is a ghost whisperer. Holly's day job involves helping rid her clients homes of ghosts so they can have some peace in their lives.. However, 2 years ago she made the decision to ghost Callum (her now ex). Her ex is in a similar line of work as her hosting a super popular paranormal podcast.
Everything beings to shift when Callum contacts her to assist him in investigating a house in the town of East Mill. The house has had multiple reports of ghosts spotted or paranormal events. And whilst Holly is not keen AT ALL on spending time with the ex again, she feels incredibly drawn to investigate. The path to discovering what is occurring at the house in East Mill is a gripping storyline, especially as we learn more about the history of the family who lived in the home.
AND CAN I SAY.. the romantic tension between Holly and Callum in this book was absolutely brilliant, and the slow burn for their potential second chance was brilliant.
I additionally loved the paranormal aspect of this book, as well as the research into the witch trials which occurred before the Salem witch trials.
Overall, I really enjoyed this !!!!
