I had a hard time getting into this book but I have to say after I got over the hump I could not put it down . It was so funny and so sweet at the same time. The story line took some twists and turns that kept you reading on. Thanks NetGalley. I received a free copy for an honest review.

This was my first book in this series and I really wish that I had read the others first. It's not necessary, I just think I would have enjoyed this so much more if I had been on the ride all along. I liked the story of Boone, the somewhat arrogant hero, and Valerie, the hidden crime family's daughter. I say hidden because of her career. I liked the character building that I observed in this book and the writing. The story line had some unique layers.
