This book was so very cowboy yeehaw and a perfect palette cleaner romance. Did it hit me deeply and change my DNA? Not exactly, but I had a great time!

What a ride🤠 An amazing start to the series, brothers best friend and cowboy romance.. yes please😍 This book brought all the vibes and the grumpy emotionally unavailable cowboy was the icing on the cake 🌶️ Unfortunately for my sleep schedule I could not put this book down from the 40% mark, I had such a great time. As always, not a fan of miscommunication, but it wasn't as noticeable and drawn out so I could live with it! I can not wait for Dallas and Willows book, I can already tell I will eat it up🤭

STOP. This book?? SO GOOD.

Wild Rose is a small town cowboy romance that totally hit the spot. Rose is chaotic, spontaneous, and in need of a reset, so she ends up at Blue River Ranch for the summer, working for her brother’s best friend, Wilder. He’s the grumpy cowboy trying to keep his family ranch afloat, and the last thing he wants is help from someone like Rose. But the sparks? Immediate.

These two butt heads constantly (someone please teach them how to communicate 😭), but the tension, the banter, and that moment when they finally give in? Perfection. It’s a slow burn, it’s spicy, and it’s packed with emotional depth. Plus bar fights, rival families, cowboy drama, and a whole lot of heart.

If you’re a cowboy romance girly, this is a no brainer. I’m fully invested in the series now and already dying for Dallas’s story!

4 🌟
Spice: open door
Format: audiobook

Love a brothers best friend cowboy story. I'm giving it 4, but it does feel oddly similar to Done & Dusted. I didn't totally buy the chemistry between these two. I did however, love the things Wilder did after hearing her story. Hes thoughtful and protective. The thurs act breakup made the ending kindnof rushednthough. The side story with Dallas definitely has me hoping he gets a book.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was super cute and i love a good cowboy romance!

I really enjoyed the relationship between the two main characters. I’m not a big fan of miscommunication in romance books, but this one executes it well. I had to keep reminding myself that our FMC was really young and to set my expectations so. I kept getting frustrated at her decisions but it did make sense for someone in their early 20's. The pacing was a little slow for me so I found it hard to get through but in the end i enjoyed it.

Fantastic Ranch Style Romance!

Absolutely loved the chemistry between ranch owner Wilder and his best friends sister Rose from NYC. The couples backstories and at times family, at first keep the two apart but eventually bring them together in this 4 star romance. If anything, I was sad this one ended, would have loved reading more about Blue River Ranch and the story of Wilder and Rose. Bring on the next book!!

Thank you Netgaller and Roxanne Tully for this ARC read.

I love a good small town romance!! Also, the cowboy x city girl trope is my favorite. "Wild Rose" delivers both of these elements perfectly! The charming small-town setting is brought to life with vivid descriptions, making me feel like I was right there, walking through dusty streets and cozy cafés. The chemistry between the rugged cowboy and the sophisticated city girl is electric, filled with heartfelt moments and witty banter that kept me hooked from start to finish.

I appreciated how the author developed the characters, giving them depth beyond their initial stereotypes. The cowboy isn't just rugged and stoic; he has a tender side that adds layers to his personality. Similarly, the city girl isn't just out of place; she's resourceful and resilient, adapting to her new environment while staying true to herself.

The pacing of the romance felt natural, with just the right amount of tension and sweet moments to keep me turning the pages. The supporting characters added warmth and humor, enhancing the small-town vibe without overshadowing the main romance. If you're a fan of heartfelt love stories with a dash of cowboy charm and a sprinkle of city sophistication, "Wild Rose" is a must-read!

Awww I absolutely enjoyed reading this novel! It has great humor, romance, and a grumpy-sunshine trope! Also who doesn’t love a good cowboy romance during the summer. If you like a small town romance and a brother’s best friend plot…then this book is for you.
Rose has to move down to a ranch for the summer that her brother works at because she’s having some hard times living in NYC. She’s young and trying to leave her past behind. She meets her new boss Wilder and suddenly things aren’t going exactly to plan but what can she do when a hot cowboy of telling her what to do and trying to keep her out of trouble.
Wilder doesn’t know what he’s got himself into when he agrees to help his best friend’s sister for the summer. Unfortunately, last time he saw her she was a teenager, now she’s all grown up and he shouldn’t be having feelings for her. Wilder doesn’t know what to do with the little trouble marker or does he?

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy! All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this small town cowboy romance.
It is a brothers best friend forbidden romance which was fun.
Wilder is a great character. He is grumpy, hard working and super protective which I love.
Rose is troubled and does silly things to make herself feel brave which I understand. I just didn’t like that she often had little tantrums and mis communicated

This book was a super fun and sweet read and I will def continue on with the series

Wild Rose is the first book in the Blue Springs Ranch series by Roxanne Tully. I was excited to have the opportunity to read this book because I’m in my small town romance era, so when I saw a small town, cowboy, brothers best friend romance, I knew I needed to read this book. But this book fell a little short for me; and I believe thats because I didn’t really connect with the main characters. I understand that Rose has experienced trauma and is only 22, but her level of immaturity was frustrating at times to read. Though I will say the chemistry between them was hotter than a summer day working on the ranch. Though I wasn’t a huge fan of the main characters, the author did a good job of developing the world of Blue Springs ranch and the secondary characters, so much so that I can’t wait to read their stories. Thanks NetGalley for giving me an opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was completely taken by this cover. After I was granted to read this book I was a little worried that it might not deliver. Where has Roxanne Tully been and why haven’t I read her books before? I loved this book! They marketed this one correctly. If you love Elsie Silver, Lyla Sage and Paisley Hope, you will love this book! Small town, grumpy vs sunshine is my jam! The plot was so much fun and the conflict kept me reading. I enjoyed seeing the trouble Rose got up to. I loved the banter between Rose and Wilder. Rose comes across as a bit flighty, but her backstory helps us understand why. I loved the spice, and I really felt the connection between Wilder and Rose. They were a good fit. The secondary characters were intriguing, and I definitely can’t wait to read the next one.
Honestly, I typically don’t veer off the path and request books from an author I haven’t heard of but this risk definitely paid off. I need to branch out more often! I’m a new Roxanne Tully fan! I’m off to check out her back list! I received this book from Embla Books and Netgalley! All opinions are my own!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me this ARC.

Snall town cowboy romance is definitely one of my favourite genres and this did not disappoint. It was my first Roxanne Tully read and definitely won’t be the last. I did pick up on a few spelling errors and at times it was hard to differentiate between the speech but that didn’t put me off the read. Hoping they have been corrected in the published version.

This is a great slow burn, small town romance. Brothers best friend with an age gap. What more could you possibly want? All the tension was there and I could t wait for Wilder and Rose to give in to one another. A great series starter.

I wasn’t keen on FMC Rose. Found her to be a little annoying. However, I absolutely loved grumpy MMC Wilder and how protective he was over everything and everyone. I wasn’t keen very intrigued by Dallas and would definitely read his story.

If you like Elsie Silver, Lyla Sage or just cowboys in general, then you will love this grumpy sunshine book! It had me squeling, it had me laughing and just overall losing myself to the story. I loved the banter and loving touches between them, but also how adoring and caring Wilder is. A perfect summers read or in a cosy chair on a rainy day, can't wait for the next one!

3.5 ⭐️ NetGalley ARC! This was a cute romance similar vibes to Elsie Silver. I disliked the shaming for the pictures and dislike the self deprecating nature the FMC has. Overall the book was a fun, quick read, super cute and had a lot of good small town cowboy romance vibes that we all love. Brothers best friend trope and fun vibes for the side characters. I would definitely read the rest of the series!

A grumpy Sunshine cowboy romance with a tickle of forbidden elements? Yes please and I'll take a full series now please the free spirit and the grumpy man will get me every single time. WELL PLAYED MS Tully

Wild Rose delivers a picturesque small-town setting and a classic cowboy-meets-city-girl setup. Wilder’s arc — healing from heartbreak and gradually opening up ...was a solid highlight. However, Rose’s impulsive, boundary-pushing behavior made her tough to connect with. Her motivations felt more reactive than redemptive. Still, the ranch setting and slow-burn dynamic will likely appeal to fans of grumpy/sunshine pairings.

I love ranch romances, and this was a good one! Lots of tension and heat that add to this spicy and sweet love between Wilder and Rose.

The shock I felt at their first kiss had me GASPING! But I also squealed when he begins to really listen to her and look after her. He helps her feel safe and cared for. He’s so careful and mindful of her past trauma and does all he can so she feels secure and protected with him. I loved Wilder so much!

The progression of their relationship had all the tension and good reasons for things to take its time. I just wish they had talked to each other and confronted the issue head on, but him not giving up in the end made it such a special ending for them both. They both heal their past painful experiences. I love them together!

I also enjoyed getting to know other characters, especially his brother Dallas. I hope we get more books in this series, especially more with him!

This is the first book in the Blue River Springs Ranch series that tells the story of Rose & Wilder.
Rose moves from New York to stay with her brother on his best friend's ranch for the summer. Cue the ensuing romance between Rose & Wilder.
If you're a fan of Elsie Silver, Lyla Sage et al then you will enjoy this. It was a cute cowboy palate cleanser and I can't wait for the next book.
