While I struggled to get through the first part of the book, I found myself finally invested in the characters and their storylines. Angels and their history were a unique take to the genre and I will definitely be continuing the series to see how this debut author unfolds.

I LOVE fantasy ! The angst, plot, twists, easter eggs and political drama is just chefs kiss !
Easy reading , gripping, and interesting

Thank you NetGalley and Elle Kaelee for this ARC!
I was surprised by this book, I went into this with an open mind and was unsure exactly what the plot was which made it more fun when I was reading because I had no idea where it was going. This allowed me to be hooked to this book, whilst it took a few chapters to get fully invested, it was worth it overall! I actually enjoyed the multiple POVS because I enjoy seeing different peoples perspectives, it added more to the story and it allows the series to head in multiple directions depending on the response to this book. It honestly is a great read and it is pretty unique

This was an incredibly interesting read. Took me a while to get into it as I struggled with the time lines moving back and forth and being relatively general in dates, but once I got it more I was locked in.
It’s an incredibly interesting world - with not quite angels and demons and a really interesting take on all of it. However I really could have done with a bit more time spent to set up the world rather than the expectation that I would get it from the summary.
I found Hadley a unique-ish main character, with her struggles seeming realistic and her reactions reasonable. I’m just not sure enough happened to fully move on the plot in these 350ish pages to keep me interested enough to pick up the next in the series.

Thank you to Elle Kaelee for the copy of Glass Wings. All opinions in this review are my own.
I kind of went into Glass Wings blind. Although I had read the synopsis when requesting my copy of it, I had forgotten it by the time I started to read it and decided to dive in without reminding myself 😅 I'm so glad I did!
I loved the unusual take on Gods, Angels & Demons mixed into an urban setting. Our FMC has goes through multiple modern, tragic experiences and discusses the emotional trauma that accompanies them. She has the typical FMC bravery and victim/not a victim arc but doesn't come out with a hero complex!
There's three different years that we jump between and from multiple characters POVs all through the book. Personally, it took me far too long to place the prologue in the timeline and it took a good chunk of the beginning chapters to work out who was who. You do get the picture of the scene of where this book ends quite early on with the time hopping but it's the journey getting there that's important. So much of the world building and theological background is told through the middle of the book that it does require some focus to keep you going.
I'd give this a 3.5⭐️/5 which I'm rounding up to 4⭐️

This book was a bit hard for me to follow with the multiple POVs. if it had been just Hadley's I would've been fine but the jumping around had me confused the entire book all the way to end, even when I finished the book I still wasn't quite sure what fully happened. I enjoyed the Hadley POV portion of the story but every time it switched to the other POVs, it completely took me out of the story and disrupted the experience for me.

Glass Wings is my first book from this author, so I was beyond excited to read it, especially after reading the description of the story. I'm sorry to say that I did not enjoy it like I thought I would. The plot of the story started off great, but then it changed from past to present and different realms with no real explanation for the things that were happing with the threats or anything really. It just left me with more questions than answers and we never really got any answers. The characters were okay, but the author didn't give us time to really connect or get to know them before jumping into a different scene. I think parts of the book would have been better if it was a part of the prequel for this story. It as if we get two stories in one and there's a connection there but it's not flowing smoothly. The pace of the story was another thing that bothered me. It was so slow it made the whole story drag which seems crazy because there was a lot going on but at the same time there wasn't. I finished the story because I wanted to see how the author would end it but when it comes down to it, I will just say that this story wasn't the one for me not matter how much I wanted it to be.

I keep finding I want to just skip to the next part of the storyline that I want. Too many time jumps and stories. A few storylines are amazing and I find it hard to jump in time to what feels like episode of ancient aliens.

It took me a minute to get into it due to the changing timeline. As the story progressed I understood why it was needed to ensure the plot flowed. The story is dark and the theme could be disturbing. I suggest that everyone with a trauma background check the trigger warnings. I absolutely did love this book. The characters had me engaged and it didn't matter if it was the good guys or the bad guys. The story was multi-layered in my opinion with a underlying theme of an ethical dilemma. Overall 5 stars and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

First, I'd like to thank NetGalley for sending me a copy of this book!
First and foremost, I enjoyed this book and will definitely continue this series. The concept was really interesting, and getting to learn about all the characters and how they lived through time periods was also a super cool concept. It was nice to live through the characters instead of having everything explained to you, which I enjoyed.
Granted, there were some characters I loved more than others, but it was also nice to get to see Hadley grow throughout the book. I was worried her character would stay stagnant since she is only 18, but she grew more of a backbone, especially towards the end of the book.
This book also contains a major miscommunication trope, which I hope gets unraveled more in book two. However, even with this occurring, Hadley has every right to be as angry and upset as she is with the world. I'm all for a little villain arc if that occurs in book two. Can't wait to keep reading!

I want to start out by saying this review is written from my personal thoughts and that everyone has different interests when it comes to what they like to read. For me this book had a lot of potential. The story and concept was very unique however, I felt that it was a little slow for my personal liking. The characters were unique and if you like books that go back and forth in time for the POV then you would really like it! For me it made it a little hard to follow and I would get a little lost with the characters and the agenda at hand in this book.
The characters were fun and the main FMC was easily likable and I felt that she was realistically written. Each character brings a different personality to the story and I feel anyone who reads the book will enjoy their character traits and stories.
The plot had a lot of potential but was lacking. I felt the whole first half of the book was dragging along with not much really happening. I also felt there were a lot of scenes that didn’t bring anything to the story.
I personally did not really like the switching back and forth of the time. I like to feel that a book picks up within the first 20%. However if you don’t mind books that jump back and forth in time and you don’t mind a book starting slow then this book would be something you would like.
I do feel that this book is listed for the appropriate age range and that it gives spice without over doing it and it is appropriately placed.
It wasn’t for me but I can see others still really enjoying it and I would definitely still recommend trying it out. Not the best book I’ve read but I don’t regret reading it either. I would recommend this book for anyone who likes fantasy and time jumping as well as a hint of spice without it going into too much detail.

Hadley wakes up with wings made of glass and a shadow that kills for her. She is chased by everything and she must fight to survive.
I love the cast of characters. All very interesting and fun. The world is magical and detailed. Really enjoy it. Very unique storyline. Gave me some dark tinkerbell vibes.
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Unique .
The first several chapters jump between several of the big characters before finally settling mostly in the main character. Obviously this gives a lot of world building but makes it a little harder to fall into the story.
I do like Hadley she seems real if a little self sacrificing for her friend Hector. Amis role is a little surprising. I was trying to figure out how the story of the little girl in the beginning of the book related to the main story. For being immortal they all seem pretty lost overall. It will be interesting to see what Hadley choices to do with how the book ended.

I love the storytelling set up with this. Waking up with wings made of glass and a mysterious murderous shadow seems like a ton of fun. Right? Well, this book explores everything about that.

This book will have you hooked from the start, i have never been so glad book 2 is already out! A must read.

A dark paranormal romance with tension, banter and spice. The build up is kind of slow, but the worldbuilding is very intriging.
The Immortal aspect is great and the time-jumps are interesting. I really enjoyed the FMC Hadley and her friendship to Hector.
3,5-4 stars, and a thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

I was hooked from the very beginning of this book! It's a multi pov with characters that you are sure to fall in love with.
This book was a lot of fun and pretty fast-paced for me. The magic system was fun to learn abou,t and the twists and turns definitely captured my attention.
I can definitely see myself reading more from this author because I absolutely loved the writing style and how lyrical it is.

🥀 Dark tinkerbell retelling
🥀 Gothic fantasy with horror elements
🥀 Debut author
🥀 Multiple POV
🥀 Multiple time lines
This was actually so refreshing and I’m really impressed this was a debut novel!
There are definitely some dark themes so if you prefer your romantacy on the lighter side maybe go in to this with caution.
Some characters I really liked though the book would have been even better if there was more time and attention spent on character development. I would still give this a chance as it is a quick read and quickly paced!
This one definitely stands out as a different and unique read for this genre and I feel once the author has got world building / backstory and character arcs down they will have a very promising career in writing :)
Thank you for the gifted copy!

An interesting read. Firstly, the book itself has a unique concept, i’ve never read anything like it. This book includes the following:
✅multiple povs
✅ dark urban fantasy
✅ angels and demons vibes?
✅ complex characters
✅ interesting storyline
Rating: 3-3.5/5
Comments: The book was quite confusing at the start, with multiple povs it was quite hard to track. The story itself is unique and different. If you are up for a dark urban fantasy I say give it a go. There is still gaps that i’m missing about the ancient feud. Alongside the whole ending seeming a bit rushed. I disliked nearly all the male main characters minus Djoser and the occasional redemption moments from Amis. Reign was probably the most fun character. Overall, if you are looking for a different fantasy story, something you have never read before. This is the one.

adley ends up 18 and alone and in the oldest occupation in history. She thinks she may have things somewhat handled, but things get out of control as she starts to learn that she is not a normal woman. Who and what is she and what does everyone want from her?
There is a bit of time hopping and several POV options that help give us a wider perspective on what is going on. So much happens in under 300 pages and we are left with a cliffhanger and zero clue of who or what to root for. Everyone is complicated and messy. Things ended up in a place I was not expecting. I'm super curious to see where things end up in book two!
Thanks to Elle and BookSirens/NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review.
