Oh my goodness. lm just gets better and better. I am so enjoying this new series - the wedding planners and outdoor pusuits specialists have combined and the resulting combination is amazingly successful - but we have an obstacle filled train to navigate first.

Kira is an outdoor specialist and we met her in the last book. She comes across as a bit hard, a bit aggressive and a lot accomplished in her skills.
In this book, she is tasked with looking after the bride’s friend Mattia, an opera singer with a number off tricky qualities - not least his sensitivity to sound.

I absolutely loved Mattia - a bit of a cinnamon roll, beta guy who turns out to be exactly the kind of man you want to fall in love with.
Kira swiftly became a firm favourite as I got to k ow her and understand what lay behind her attitudes and behaviour. Watching these two tangle, challenge and develop feelings for each other was so rewarding.

The coordination of a high end, special, wedding was examined in depth and never became routine or boring. lm has the gift of creating fabulous characters, caught up in a romantic journey in the most engaging of settings. I loved this. Another wonderfully emotionally satisfying book from Leonie Mack. Highly recommended.

Adventure guide Kira Watling is definitely not a natural with guest lists and flower arranging, but the destination wedding agency she works for always goes above and beyond. Her job is simple: escort an important guest from Salzburg to a gorgeous mountain chalet wedding venue. What should be straightforward becomes complicated when heavy snowfall leaves her stuck overnight in close quarters with her very handsome, very eccentric charge, Italian opera singer Mattia. Clumsy yet sensitive, Mattia is unlike anyone Kira has ever met. After an evening exploring Christmas markets and navigating snow-covered mountains together, he gets under her skin in a way no one else has. They can't ignore their unexpected attraction, but Kira has a job to do, and while Mattia is open to love, bitter life experience has taught Kira to guard her heart. Continually thrown together by wedding disasters, Kira finds her resistance to commitment challenged by her growing feelings for the charming opera singer.

Thanks Netgalley for the ARC!

This came at the right time, I had finished book #1 a few weeks ago, and the story was still fresh in my mind. And now, it was Kira (Andreas' good friend at work) who is finding love!

What a different premise - an opera singer and an adventure guide! I do hear operas and the music somehow hits something inside and you start tearing up, so I get how Kira was finally moved to love.

I do not give spoilers, but I very much enjoyed the book, especially all the twists and turns that came with wedding planning at a snowy region - weather plays a big part! And I am definitely looking forward to book#3 when the next wedding planner / great adventure guide finds love while wedding planning!

This book was not for me. I struggled to understand the connection between the two main characters. It felt like “insta love” too much. I wasn’t very invested in the main character, who felt too “not like other girls.” The setting was the star of the show, and I was however interested in the wider group of characters. The MMC was a sweetheart, but that didn’t override everything else.

This is a second in the series but can read alone. For me it was slow to grab me but got better and better. Kira is a mountain guide who has to also has to do wedding planning. Oh my. You have some laugh out moments. Her blouses made me laugh . Some great characters . Mattia is a fab character , he is an opera singer. You get romance, snow ,pasts catching up with and in the end a good story. I have already pre ordered number 3.

Wow another great book in this series, I honestly couldn’t put it down. I loved the fact that the characters have quirks like most people do and it celebrates it. I’m really looking forward to the next book, as every character in the team has a great back story

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest.

Book review of A Winter Wedding Adventure by Leonie Mack. Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for my gifted ARC.

This book is everything I want in a cozy winter romance—atmospheric, character-driven, and quietly emotional. Leonie Mack has a gift for writing stories that feel like warm hugs, and A Winter Wedding Adventure might be her coziest yet. It begins with a simple premise: Kira, a mountain adventure guide, is tasked with escorting a wedding guest to a snowy destination. That guest turns out to be Mattia, a famous Italian opera singer who is as clumsy and eccentric as he is kind and thoughtful. A snowstorm delays their journey and strands them in the kind of romantic setting that brings people closer—whether they’re ready for it or not.

Kira isn’t the type to let her heart get involved. She’s practical, a little tough, and very good at staying in control. But Mattia is a gentle force of nature—open-hearted, sensitive, and unbothered by appearances. He’s a refreshing kind of romantic lead: not trying to charm his way into anything, just genuinely trying to connect. One of the most touching moments comes when he tells her, “You are afraid to feel, Kira, but you feel everything.” That line cuts right to the core of who she is and what’s holding her back. It also marks the beginning of her emotional shift, one that feels earned and never rushed.

What really works here is the intimacy between the characters. Mack doesn’t rely on grand gestures or dramatic declarations. Instead, the relationship grows through small, quiet moments—sharing stories during a snowed-in night, navigating wedding chaos together, and learning each other’s rhythms. There’s humor, yes, and plenty of awkward charm, but it’s the emotional grounding that gives this story its staying power.

The setting is pure magic—snow-covered mountains, cozy chalets, and festive holiday details that create the perfect winter backdrop. Yet the book never leans too hard on the seasonal aesthetic. It’s there to complement the story, not define it. The romance could stand on its own in any season because the emotional arc is that strong.

What I especially appreciate is how Mack never sacrifices depth for the sake of cuteness. Kira and Mattia both have pasts that shape their perspectives, and those pasts aren’t brushed aside just because the story needs a happy ending. The characters grow together, learn from each other, and find a connection that feels hopeful without being sugar-coated.

A Winter Wedding Adventure is the kind of book that sneaks up on you. You start reading for the cozy vibes, but you stay for the heartfelt storytelling and the characters who feel real in the best possible way. It’s a feel-good romance, yes, but one with sincerity, substance, and just the right amount of sparkle.
