This is the second book in a series, but can be read as a standalone.
Kira, an adventure guide, is in charge of getting Mattia, an opera singer, to his best friends wedding location, but things don't go as planned. Due to a lot of unforeseen circumstances, this wedding is a challenge from the beginning.
Mattia has misophonia which played a part in his former breakup and Kira refuses to get close to anyone after suffering a traumatic heartbreak. These two seem like an unlikely pair, but somehow the author makes their romance totally believable and you can see they are destined to be together.
The author paints a winter wonderland, with beautifully described scenes and background throughout the book. I found myself wishing I was in a chalet in the middle of nowhere snowed in.
If you're looking for a quick cozy wintery read, I recommend this book/series!
Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

This is such a cute winter story for the cozy nights! It definitely made me feel like I was in the mountains. Kira and Mattia are my new favourite couple, it definitely was an emotional rollercoaster at times, but definitely worth it!

I didn't realise that this is the second book in the series, I haven't read the first one (yet) but that didn't spoil my enjoyment of the book. I thought the description of the setting in Austria and it's mountains was excellent, it made me want to throw a blanket over myself. Kira comes across as suffering for years following a disastrous experience affected her emotionally, leaving her scared of any serious emotional relationships. I m not a fan of opera, but would love to hear Mattia sing. He has problems of his own, especially a hypersensitivity to noise which caused a previous relationship to fail. Seeing how these two gradually begin to fall for each other is the backbone of the book, set against the trials and tribulations of trying to organise a winter wedding in a remote mountain chalet. There are a couple of non-explicit spicy scenes, Definitely worth a read, but be prepared and keep a warming drink handy.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

HEHEHE!! Giggling!!! This book was awkward, hilarious, cute, and so so fun! I will absolutely be picking up the first book ASAP

OK so I went into this one having not read the first but I don't think that hinders your enjoyment.
What's I enjoyed about this book:
•The winter Austrian setting was stunning and it was described so well.
•The anxiety rep and Mattia's misaphonia is wrote compassionately.
•The way Kira supported Mattia and recognised how capable he is rather than seeing it as weakness.
What didn't work for me:
•The third party pov I often felt confused what was going on.
•The lack of chemistry. I liked both Kira and Mattia separately but I didn't see them as a couple.

A Winter Wedding Adventure by Leonie Mack ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I just found out that this is book 2 in a series, so I'm not sure if book 1 was connected or not. So I will check out book 1 now.
I'm loving bookcations this year and I definitely got to add this one. Too the list of places I'd like to visit some day.
I liked both Kira and Mattia both separately but they lacked something together. I don't if it was chemistry, awkward banter, or past "baggage" (probably not the right word but you get the point)
Hope you pre-order your copy today for a September 2nd release day. Take a bookcation with me.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the advanced copy of this book for my honest review.

I loved this second book in the wedding adventure series. It certainly was an unusual pairing with an adventure guide afraid of love and a seemingly helpless opera singer preparing for the wedding that goes wrong. However, the chemistry worked and I’m now wondering whether the next book centres on Toni. Loved it!

Another endearing travel romance by Leonie Mack- the second in the series. I love the merger between the adventurers and the wedding planners and the growth that is occurring because of it. First of all, in every Leonie Mack book, the setting is a character all on its own...and this was no exception, she brings these engrossing, gorgeous, wild settings to life. Second, the actual characters...Kira had so much growth during this book as she confronted her past and learned to trust in love again...and opposite totally attract in Mattia, who is totally contrary to the type of guy that you would have thought she would have fallen for, but ended up being the perfect foil to bring out all the feels in Kira, and it was beautiful to read. The secondary characters are also endearing and with a bit of drama and suspense, The Wedding Wedding Adventure is the perfect book to cozy up and read to by the fire. Simply loved it...
Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the ARC.

Another great Leonie Mack romcom!
This is book 2 in the wedding adventure series and follows the FMC Kira that we met as a side character in book one.
What I love about this series is the improbable couples, the grumpy x sunshine vibes and how it makes me want to travel to all the places described!
Kira is a strong FMC with a hidden past and Mattia is an opera singer that is basically the opposite of strong but somehow they work perfectly together and even improve each other. I might have a crush on Mattia now!

I DNF this book, which I don't usually do but this just wasn't book for me. I'm sure there's people who its for, but just felt bit boring for me.

A Winter Wedding Adventure is the second book in Leonie Mack’s Wedding Adventures series, and it has such a charming seasonal setup. Kira, an adventure guide, and Mattia, an opera singer, are thrown together in a snowy, forced-proximity situation. It’s grumpy x sunshine with an opposites-attract twist, and I especially enjoyed the detail that he falls first. Mattia’s openness and warmth contrasted nicely with Kira’s emotional guardedness, and seeing her slowly start to open up was one of the highlights of the story.
The setting was wonderfully atmospheric—cozy, wintry, and full of charm. Even reading in the middle of summer, I immediately felt the winter wedding vibes. This is definitely a strong point of Mack’s writing.
On the other hand, I had a bit of a hard time connecting with the characters. At times they frustrated me or came across as a little flat, which made it harder to become fully invested in their romance. I also found the third-person narration occasionally confusing in terms of point of view, which pulled me out of the story.
Overall, this is a cute, cozy romance that delivers on its winter setting and sweet tropes, but it didn’t completely sweep me away. Still, fans of grumpy x sunshine and festive escapism may find this a fun seasonal read.
Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for providing an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is the second book in the „Wedding Adventures“ series by Leonie Mack but it can be read as a stand-alone. I did not read the first book and while i felt I was missing some context on who is who it didn‘t stop me from enjoying the book. I liked both main characters Kira and Mattia and I could relate to them mostly. I thought it was very unusual that Kira had such a problem telling her friends about her past relationship experience (I honestly expected that there was more to it than it turned out in the end). The story was also entertaining and mostly believable (a bit over the top maybe sometimes) but all in all a very entertaining winter romance.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book.
2.5 stars rounded up
This was just ok. I didn't really like any of the characters. I think they were too different and that hindered the chemistry. The best part for me was the setting - I loved the cover - and it really shone throughout the story. I didn't realize it was part of a series but don't think I missed out on anything, not having read the first one. It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't say I'd recommend it either.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a cute fun romance filled with awkwardly hilarious disasters.
It was well written and easy to read.
The main characters have very grumpy x sunshine energy. I love a soppy mmc and his character was refreshing. His wholehearted approach to life, being unafraid of his emotions, made his character endearing. I enjoyed that the FMC wasn’t totally hapless or a damsel. She had some growing to do which she accomplished but she was still a very strong character throughout.
I really enjoyed the side characters , and Kira being able to open up and find friends. I loved the festive winter vibes.
Now my problem is that after the epilogue I need the next book and it’s not out until next year?!

This is a delightful, heartwarming romance set against the stunning backdrop of the Austrian Tyrol in winter. At the heart of the novel are Kira, a reserved outdoor sports instructor reluctantly stepping into the role of assistant wedding planner, and Mattia, a charismatic opera singer with long curls and a voice powerful enough to stir the soul. Both are scarred by past relationships and hesitant to trust again, yet their gradual, tender connection feels authentic and deeply moving. Their journey from guarded acquaintances to passionate lovers is filled with vulnerability, humor, and undeniable heat.
The supporting cast—including bride Alessandra and groom Joe—adds charm and texture, while moments of crisis allow Kira’s resilience to shine. Romantic, funny, and emotionally satisfying, this novel is an ideal holiday read brimming with warmth, passion, and the magic of second chances.

Kira Watling is an adventure guide who has somehow found herself immersed in the world of adventure weddings...and she's not overjoyed about it. This wedding in Germany at New Year looks to be no exception especially as she's to start the trip with looking after an opera singing diva.
The second in Mack's 'Wedding adventure' series, the story features characters from the first but it wouldn't matter if you haven't read the first one - the story is quite well contained in this book. The plot is easy to follow, it's a little slow to start but quickly picks up and after one key event (I won't put any spoilers!) I couldn't put it down!
It's definitely a bit of an escapist read and it's by no means a challenging one, but it's enjoyable and if you like Mack's other books, you'll like this.

The Book:
Kira is an adventure guide working for a destination wedding agency who has been tasked with escorting a guest to a chalet in the mountains. They journey is delayed due to heavy snowfall and she ends up stuck with the handsome, eccentric guest, Mattia.
Kira and Mattia spend some time exploring Christmas markets and the mountains and are thrown together throughout wedding.
My Thoughts:
It's a sweet, accessible rom-com.
The setting is really great - the snowy mountains in Europe. I felt really immersed in the various locations and the descriptions had all the wintery feels.
I had a hard time connecting with the characters and their love story. I didn't feel a spark with them (I mean myself with the characters and plot, not the characters with each other).
I also enjoyed the grumpy/sunshine trope where she is the grump and he is the sunshine.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the festive reads in 2025, but this is the third one I’ve DNF’d. I just could not connect with A Winter Wedding Adventure in the slightest. Getting just over halfway through it was a bit of a struggle, which is a shame because I did like the concept of the book.
The “adventure” part was over way quicker than I expected considering it’s the title of the book. Maybe more adventures happen after but I got over halfway through and everything was building towards the wedding. Maybe some chaos would take place, but I was already over the book and it’s hard to make yourself continue once you reach that point.
Something else that’s hard is taking a male romantic lead seriously when he’s constantly referred to as a “boy” and is babied by every one in his life. It genuinely felt like they were talking about a toddler sometimes. Mattia is 27, but it felt like I was reading a book with a teenage lead. Even the way he talked and acted in his own chapters were really young. Such a weird choice.
I also didn’t like Kira very much. She gives off a major ‘I’m not like the other girls’ vibe purely because she’s outdoorsy and likes to climb mountains. Like actually get over yourself. She’s also so negative about love and she acts like planning weddings is the worst thing in the world. Like yeah, you can think that but don’t talk about it around the people you’re working for. I don’t know exactly what happened to make her feel this way but I’m guessing her boyfriend left her on their wedding day.
Also, the ‘romance’ was super insta-lovey, which I don’t usually mind in contemporary romances but when the characters are complete opposites it makes no sense. Within the first few pages of meeting each other they’re basically lusting for each other, but also Kira finds Mattia to be really immature and annoying. She’s only five years older than him but she acts like he’s a child. It honestly felt more like Kira was Mattia’s mom rather than someone that’s interested in him romantically.
I’m genuinely sad to have yet another DNF, but A Winter Wedding Adventure wasn’t for me – you can’t win them all I suppose.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for my advanced readers copy. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get into this one and DNF around the 20% mark. I’m not a fan of 3rd person and that’s how this story is told. What little I did read wasn’t bad just not for me.

This is the first book I've read by this author, even though this is the second book in the Wedding Adventures series. The books can be enjoyed as a standalone, although the same characters crop up, and so now I would love to read more of the series.
I am always happy to read a winter romance. A Winter Wedding Adventure had a gorgeous, snowy setting in the mountains. It made me want to snuggle under a blanket.
I really liked both main characters in this story for different reasons. Kira is so headstrong, loyal, and hardworking. It was refreshing to read a book with an mmc like Mattia, who is sensitive, quiet, and not too proud to let Kira help him.
Despite being a case of opposites attracting, in a way, they were more alike than you first realise, both with insecurities and having been hurt in the past. The book is only set across a week, but it seems an excruciatingly slow burn romance. There was a lot of character development, and a lot of the story focuses on the wedding and the other guests.
Overall, I found this an enjoyable read. Mattia and Kira are just so sweet together that you can't help but root for their happiness.
