a stunning cover took us right into a stunning read. i loved the adventure i had with this book. i was there for every single moment of it as it lifted me, my mood and my smiles higher with each new page. Leonie has such a lovely and loving writing style. its always so warming, comforting but also bouncy light and like a breathe of fresh air. i always always come away from her books with a goofy grin and a healing heart.
this book bring us Kira's story. Kira is an adventure guide and she knows her stuff. she can take tourist into mountains, climbing and all the other kind of adventures they might wish for. but her job suddenly takes a turn when her workplace now melds with a wedding company. so now she is involved in the world of destination wedding and this is not in her wheel house at all.
her task right now is to get a key part of the clients wedding party to the destination wedding. that so happens to be a snow covered destination wedding in the mountains.
Mattia is said guest and hes such a brilliant character to get to know. at first glance hes something totally different to Kia but there is absolutely no denying their chemistry which bounces off the page for us readers from the moment they meet.
these two leave you with toes tingling and heart strings fizzing.
Mattia and Kira were so wonderful to watch together. they showed up and lifted the other sometimes without even knowing it. Mattia is an opera singer and he is such a kind and gentle strength.
Kira is capable and headstrong but that can often be what she is trying to show to the world. Mattia SEE'S this. he see's her. and vice versa.
right from the start i wanted these two to get through anything so they could be together. those relationships that just feel right, that you know will make the pair happy. the kind relationship with these two is ones that feels so good to be involved in, just to be able to witness. its uplifting and soul healing. its fun and yet also deeply touching.
this book is everything i could have wished for in a book. it was cosy and romantic with characters you fall for. this book felt like a warming and embracing hug that would warm you in winter but somehow worked all the more in these humid summer months too.
what i loved so much about this book was in particular how Mattia is presented to us. there is soooo much macho bordering on controlling male leads out there. it seems to be a thing right now. Mattia was quirky, sensitive and didn't need to over ride or be the man mountain hero to win hearts. it was exactly the kind of male lead i needed and what we need more of. it was a reminder and refreshing to see a male being written in this way.
i deeply loved this book and everything about it. gorgeous.

A Winter Wedding Adventure by Leonie Mack is a charming and heartwarming romance that captures the magic of snowbound settings and unexpected love. Kira and Mattia’s chemistry and the delightful mix of adventure and romance made this story a joy to read. I truly enjoyed this book and rated it five stars.

I would like to thank Netgalley and Boldwood Books for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This was quite a unique pairing of a male opera singer and a female mountain guide. It really worked and I look forward to reading more by the author.

I loved all the wintery and festive details of the story, perfect for the winter season.

I especially enjoyed the MMC, Mattia. He is so quirky, as Kira says, “this man attracted mishaps like the sun in the solar system” 😂 His personality really added a fun and unique touch to the story.

This is a slow burn strangers-to-lovers romance with plenty of charm. The winter setting, the small adventures, and the side stories made it very entertaining and easy to read. I loved the character development and the way their backgrounds.

Overall, it was a sweet and uplifting read that left me smiling. Perfect for fans of cozy, feel-good winter romances.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the eARC, surely I will be looking forward for the 3rd book of this series.
All opinions are my own 💕✨

Kira's an adventure guide but has had to start doing weddings as well. She's been assigned to escort an opera singer to a wedding and isn't happy about. She then discovers Mattia is scared of everything and it's going to be a long job

A winter wedding adventure describes the plot of this book really well.
Kira is a no nonsense adventure guide. She usually leads tourists through mountains, goes climbing or does skiing trips. But since there has been changes in her workplace she now is responsible to get the best friend of the bride to the destination of the wedding. A snowing wonderland in the mountains. The plot is adventures and entertaining, I will definitely be reading more of this series.
Mattia is the guest of honor and the adventure begins within the first second he and Kira meet.
The characters have amazing chemistry, the interaction left me giddy and smiling. They had me rooting for them from the very beginning. I absolutely adore how good they enhance each other.

This is part of a series, but it can be read as a standalone, the author weaved in enough information so everyone knows the history but not so much that it bores readers that already know.
I would definitely recommend reading this book if you are looking for a romance, especially in the Winter months.

Thank you NetGalley and the author Leonie Mack and the publisher Boldwood Books for this eARC

I’m loving this new series by Leonie Mack about the wedding planners & adventure holiday organisers at Great Heart & I Do. There’s some great characters & gorgeous stories taking place in beautiful locations.

What I love about Leonie Mack’s writing is her descriptive powers, she has a wonderful ability to create a strong sense of place. I could easily picture the characters (Mattia’s gorgeous long curls!) & the location in the Austrian Tyrol in the middle of winter from her vivid descriptions. These evoked memories of a skiing holiday in that region many years ago; I could easily picture the mountain setting & the views from the gondolas. I felt nervous with Mattia, recalling how far away the ground seemed from the gondola. And Mattia’s singing, the power of which touched Kira’s soul - & mine.

The story is primarily about Kira & Mattia; it takes place in the context of the wedding of Alessandra (Italian, an old school friend of Mattia) & Joe (an English businessman) which being organised by Great Heart & I Do. Mattia is embarking on a career as an opera singer, & Alessandra has asked him to sing at her wedding. Kira is an outdoor sports instructor, but is doubling up as assistant wedding planner which is not her natural forte; her lack of people skills leads to some lol moments, although her professional skills & training prove invaluable when a crisis develops.

Both Kira & Mattia have difficult past relationship experiences resulting in a lack of confidence & a reluctance to form new friendships. It is heartwarming to watch how step by step they draw each other out from behind the walls each has built around their heart. As Kira said, “a time comes when we have to accept that our feelings exist or we just can’t cope. We can be hurt. Trusting is scary”. I loved witnessing the way they each changed as they hesitantly allowed each other in, & I loved the strong connection that quickly grew between them despite the barriers - it was hot hot hot!!

I loved this book, it’s a great story with strong main characters & an interesting cast of supporting characters. It would make a great holiday read.

With thanks to Netgalley & Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read an early copy of this book.

This is the second in the Wedding Adventures series - I didn't read the first, and found this one an easy stand alone read. But I'd like to go back and read Sophie's story.

This is a fun concept - an adventure tour company merges with a wedding company and they have awesome wedding adventures. I loved the characters in this one - Kira took a bit to like, but I instantly like Mattia's character. Their story is sweet and has a lot of great banter. Unusual characters and I really enjoyed getting to know them.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

It’s opposites attract at its best in A Winter Wedding Adventure!

Gruff adventure guide Kira never saw herself having anything to do with weddings, but when her company merged with a destination wedding planning service, she had no choice but to adapt if she wanted to keep her job. This week, her task is to drive opera singer Mattia to his best friend’s wedding in snowy Austria, and stay for the week to help with festivities.

Sensitive, soulful Mattia is excited to see his best friend, Alessandra, even if he doesn’t know (or like) her fiancé very much, and he’s tired of Alessandra hovering over him and seeing him as a delicate flower. He’s also not excited to see his ex, Carla, and the drama that might entail.

I loved these two together, especially with the FMC being the grumpy, seemingly tough one and the MMC being the one who’s open to sharing feelings and issues with Kira. She’s not as tough on the inside as she projects, and her kindness and understanding of Mattia come through in unexpected ways. And his character is so genuine and open-hearted—he wants to connect with her and discover what makes her tick. Leonie Mack writes characters with depth and feeling, and you really feel like you know them and can see into their souls.

The setting and side characters really added to the story as well. I felt like I was trapped in the snowstorm with the characters, experiencing the chaos and craziness of wedding prep while stranded without power and with lots of emotion. Overall, this was such a heartfelt, beautiful story and a perfect sequel to An Italian Wedding Adventure (also highly recommend).

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood books for the chance to read this book . This is the second book in the series but you could read it as a stand alone. I did prefer the first book better , I got a bit confused at points as it’s told in the 3rd person but a good Christmas book.

If you’ve been following this series, you’ll be happy to know Kira’s back — still the blue-haired adventure guide and reluctant wedding planner we’ve come to love. This time, she’s tasked with getting opera singer Mattia safely to his best friend’s wedding venue. Sounds straightforward… except with Kira, nothing ever is.

This instalment delivered exactly what I needed: plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and characters with just the right mix of quirky charm and down-to-earth wisdom. I also loved seeing misophonia explored in a romcom — and the reminder that “helping” isn’t always helping really hit home.

The crunch of snow underfoot, the smell of cinnamon in the air, the glow of fairy lights against frosty windows… Salzburg at Christmas is pure magic, and the book captures it perfectly. The snowbound chalet scenes made me want to curl up under a blanket with a mug of something hot. Reading it during a South African winter gave me serious FOMO — we get the cold but none of the festive sparkle!

If you love a romcom that blends laughter, heart, and a little wanderlust, pop A Winter Wedding Adventure straight onto your TBR — no matter what the weather’s like where you are. I can’t wait to see whose story we’ll follow next.

Thank you to Leonie Mack, Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the advance review copy!

A perfect destination winter read! The snowy mountains are the perfect setting for adventure loving Kira to find her happy ever after with Italian Mattia. The romance is swoon worthy and the wedding disasters in this book are so funny.

I fell in love so quickly with Kira and Mattia’s story. I normally prefer my adventures in books, so as an introvert this was the best of both worlds for me. Incredibly hygge and gentle read.

This was a cute, fun, cosy wintery romance set in the Alps. There was good intimacy between the 2 main characters Mattia & Kira, but towards the end, Kira was starting to grate on my nerves. Felt a little let down by the whole running into the ex part (could've been a bit more to it) but on the whole it was a sweet book.
Very easy reading. Perfect for those wintery nights in front of the fire!

“A Winter Wedding Adventure” is the second book in the “A Winter Wedding Series” by Leonie Mack. I didn’t realize this was a sequel when I requested it and while it can be read as a stand-alone, I think I would’ve got more out of this book if I’d read the first book. But, I must admit, I was drawn in by the cover - which seemed to promise a cozy sweet romance (yes, it delivers on that). I think I enjoyed the setting more than the characters -though I tried to overlook some of their issues (the two main characters really were opposites). This was a quick and enjoyable read.

This novel is exactly what it sounds like: an adventure set during wedding festivities in the winter.

Neither Kira or Mattia are characters you might expect to be leads in a story like this, he is an Italian opera singer with extreme misophonia (irritation to certain sounds), she, a jaded adventure guide forced to work on weddings despite her long frosted over heart. Part of her job on this wedding is getting Mattia, one of the groomsmen, to the venue, which sounds straight-forward, but this is a rom-com, after all.

Through lots of mishaps and straight up disasters plaguing the pages, Mattia and Kira get to know each other's true selves, underneath the baggage they carry from their pasts. It's actually a surprisingly tender story, and I really enjoyed watching these two opposites attract so strongly.

Mattia is unlike maybe any character I've ever read. Almost neurotic, but only in certain ways, he's extremely emotionally intelligent, which is useful skill around Kira, who is so guarded she's started to think the walls she has up are just part of her personality at this point. They are so well matched and fun to read about, but of course, the shenanigans in the story are a little bit over the top.

For a true-blue rom-com, this novel does a great job. It's quick, interesting, quirky, and, above all, quite romantic.

I want to say thank you from the bottom of heart to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me the privilege of being able to read this book. I truly appreciate it!

This was honestly the best reverse grumpy/ sunshine and instalove book I've ever read! It was also so much fun! There's not a single moment in this book where you're going to want to put it down, and every moment is non-stop action! Despite being a part of a series, this is a fantastic interconnected standalone and you won't miss a thing!

Well I mentioned instalove, it occured in the most natural way, it wasn't over the top, it wasn't hard to believe. As you read through this book you can see it and you feel wholeheartedly that they're meant to be! I'm really really glad that theres also no misunderstanding/ lack of communication trope in this book, they're used a lot and I was really afraid it might happen and I was so happy it didnt!

Mattia is honestly the best and only character who fully embodies cinnamon roll book boyfriend! Through and through even with his fantastic growth throughout this story, he still remains true to his absolute sweet and non-cheesy heart! I need one he can be my opera boy! Kira is so strong and independent, and seeing her grow into her emotions and let go of her past was so beautiful! Honestly I loved all of the side characters as well! They really made the story feel so well rounded! The settings for every location in this book were also described so immersively that I felt like I was there the whole time, the ice caves sounded so magical! The Wood chopping/ snowball scene was honestly one of my favourites too and I loved how it was so intentially ironically funny!

I had zeros faults with this book. Everything in it was exactly what I've been missing in a romance lately. Just real feeling characters, pure fun, and such an amazing plot and story. If you're looking for a fantastic winter romance read, or a romance read in general, this is it!

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart again for allowing me the privilege of being able to read this book! I really loved it!

A Winter Wedding Adventure is pure festive escapism—a sparkling romance wrapped in snowy landscapes, charming banter, and a dash of adventure. I adored the chemistry between Lila and Ed; their dynamic is equal parts heartwarming and fun, with just enough emotional depth to keep me invested.

Leonie Mack captures the magic of winter weddings and wintry escapes, blending romance with a sense of joy and spontaneity. A delightful, feel-good read perfect for cozying up with on a cold night.

I loved book one and loved catching up with Andreas and Sophie but I really loved finding out about Kira and her blue haired backstory. She is strong and dependable and full of self doubt. Meeting Opera Boy Mattias is a challenge for her. He is sensitive, intelligent and very clumsy but they get each other. As much as Kira is not relishing her new combined role as mountain ranger/ climbing expert and now wedding guide. This particular challenge of getting the opera singing best friend of the bride is not the worst.
This was full of sweet moments and i cant wait for the next in the series.
Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange of an honest review.

This was a nice feel good story.

The main characters were very opposite in their personalities but came together to support each other when needed.

It was a bit of a slow start but about 25% onwards it picked up. There were a few moments that had me wanting to know more about Kira.

I enjoyed reading about the surroundings too.
