This was a lighthearted and cosy, Winter romance. I struggled to get into the story at first but I was soon caught up in the dynamic between Mattia and Kira and I sped through the rest of the book.

Rock climbing, adventurer, Kira, finds herself working a Winter wedding in beautiful Salzburg, Austria. She has been tasked with picking up the brides friend, Mattia, who is an opera singer with a habit of being clumsy. Mattia is unlike anyone Kira has ever met and he starts getting under Kira’s skin in an unexpected way.

I loved the snowy setting in the snow-covered mountains and the food in the Christmas market although Christmas was barely mentioned in the book. I really enjoyed the dual POV and the story was easy to follow. The character arcs for Mattia and Kira felt genuine and realistic which made it heartfelt but not overly dramatic.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this as a winter romance and how that was used to tell the story that it needed to. I was engaged from the first page and enjoyed getting into this journey. The characters were everything that I was wanting and worked in this genre perfectly to tell the story. Leonie Mack has a strong writing style and it worked in the mountains and the romance, it left me wanting to read more in this type of book and from Leonie Mack.

Even though I hadn't read the first book in the series I still enjoyed the story and soon understood what was happening. The story was cute and easy to follow and had a great cast of characters. I also loved the snowy setting. It's the perfect festive read. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.

I didn't realise when I requested this book that it was the second book in a series. As such there were several references which I didn't understand, but that didn't stop me from reading this book.

This was a really enjoyable read and I loved seeing the characters of Kira and Mattia come to life on the page.

A Winter Wedding Adventure delivers exactly what the title promises: a cozy, romantic escape to the snow-covered Dolomites. Leonie Mack paints a beautiful wintry setting that’s easy to get lost in, and the emotional depth of Mattia was a standout — quiet, layered, and genuinely compelling.

Kira’s character arc was also well done. Her journey from emotional detachment to understanding that vulnerability isn’t weakness felt earned and satisfying. I appreciated how her past heartbreak informed her choices, even if some elements (like the “big secret” around being left at the altar) felt underwhelming and too easy to guess.

While the romance itself was sweet, it followed a very familiar trajectory. There weren’t many surprises, and some moments felt a little too safe or expected. That said, if you’re in the mood for a comforting read with a touch of holiday magic, this one might be exactly what you need.

A cosy winter romance, perfect for a bit of escapism while snuggled up with a hot drink!

We follow Kira, an adventure guide, who has to escort opera singer Mattia to his best friends destination wedding in snowy Austria.

Kira is a strong, independent and highly capable character who is a bit jaded and cut-off and keeps to herself, which is a complete contrast to the more emotionally sensitive, wonder-filled, and constantly underestimated Mattia. In theory they shouldn’t work but they really did and it was lovely to see their relationship progress and their communication and mutual respect grow. The love wasn’t superficial and they really got each other and respected each other without any need for them to change who they were.

What worked so well to create atmosphere was the descriptions of the settings, from traditional Christmas markets and delicious sounding holiday fare to snow-covered mountains and stunning ice caverns. I felt fully immersed in the locations.

I did find the constant wedding issues a distraction from the characters and story and would’ve liked less of that and more of Kira and Mattias. I also found Isabella and Joe (the bride and groom) to be quite dislikeable so I wasn’t very emotionally involved in the fate of their wedding.

I didn’t realise this was book two in a series but I think it works as a standalone. Andreas (the MMC from the first book) does pop up for a few scenes in this book. I’m looking forward to the third book!

3.5 stars overall.

What a great novel from an author I didn't know !

Mattia and Kira seem so different but they click on a deeper level. She gets his insecurities, he gets that she needs to take things on her pace/

This story is so full of adventures and twists, unexpected and fun.
I loved the ending, and the opening on the next instalment that I can't wait to read too !

The beginning of the book was a little hard to get into the storyline; however, by the end I really enjoyed it. The dynamic between the main characters was unique, in the sense that Kira was more emotionally distance and Mattia was always wearing his heart on his sleeve.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a twist on a love story around a wedding! Thank you NetGalley for eARC!

I enjoyed this book, but I did feel it could be better. I thought the first book was better than this one, I still enjoyed it, just thought it had more potential.

This is the second book in the 'A Winter Wedding Series' to be honest I didn't realise it was a series when I requested the book I was just dazzled by the snowy cover. I still enjoyed the book as a standalone but I think I would have got more out of it had I read the previous book,
'An Italian Wedding Adventure'. as I believe the MC in this book Kira is best friends with the bride from the first, so there were a few references I didn't get.

Firstly the book is set at a destination wedding in Salzburg, Austria. Which honestly, just sounds like an amazing dreamy location. Kira works for a destination wedding agency, and as such it is her job to escort a VIP guest to the chalet resort. Due to heavy snow she is stranded with the stranger, who happens to be an eccentrica Italian opera singer, Mattia. The pair couldn't be more opposite, but you know what they say....

This was a really enjoyable read. The pair were quire obviously meant for each other and it was lovely too see their love blossom on the page.

Thak you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for a copy of this delightful book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own,

This was such a cute, lighthearted, wintery romance! (I especially recommend it for anyone looking for a snowy winter read that does not highlight Christmas.)
Mattia, the main male love interest, is so sweet and gentle. Kira has some pretty serious baggage she has to work through. They have to work together to get to, and eventually get through, a semi remote winter wonderland resort wedding.
In the beginning you do kind of get dropped into the situation fully formed already so as long as you just go with it you’ll be fine.
Note: This book really charmed me with its classic “but the heat has gone out!” situation. ✨
Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for gifting me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Got to love reading a winter based story in summer, not even kidding. There's something about being able to immerse yourself in story that you aren't currently living in. e.g. fantasy worlds, different countries or seasons. This was a really sweet story where the MMC was the strongest character in my opinion. He was very sweet, had the best growth and just a good character development, which made the love story aspect strong. I do believe FMC could have had a stronger character development but still enjoyable :) Overall, would highly recommend!

3.5 / 4 stars!

A Winter Wedding Adventure was a cozy and charming read, but it didn’t fully grab me. I liked the unique winter setting and the chemistry between the main characters, but the pacing felt uneven and some parts dragged. While there were sweet and heartfelt moments, I found it a bit hard to stay fully invested. Still, fans of slow-burn romance and wintery escapes may enjoy this one more than I did.

Thank you to NetGalley and boldwood books for this early copy!
The whole premise of this book was very cute, an Italian opera singer and adventure guide at a mountain ski resort, ah sign me up! The male lead was very swoon worthy with his low voice and sparkling eyes. I loved how he fell first and that he felt like Kira was his safe place.
I didn’t feel 100% connected and invested in the story line to give me ‘that feeling’, hence the lower Star
Rating for me.
Enjoyed the addition of the sensory sensitivities for the main character, that hit close to home for me.
Overall an easy romance to read!

It turns out that A Winter Wedding Adventure by Leonie Mack is part of a series. I hadn't read the previous book but that didn't affect my enjoyment of this one. And I did enjoy it very much while I was reading it. Mattia, the male lead, was delightful and the way he and Kira interacted with each other was fun. Added to that it's set in Tyrol, not far from Innsbruck, one of my favourite places. So what's not to like? Nothing at all, I'd say while I was reading it. I was caught up in the bubble of the winter destination wedding. Standing back from it, however, I think there were too many coincidences and unlikely events. And I found it hard to believe in Kira, or Mattia's sudden change in behaviour. However, treated as a fairytale, this is a delightful winter read.

This book told the story of Kira, an opera singer, and Mattia, an adventure guide. Their different personalities worked well together, and I liked how they connected. The snowy Alps setting was beautiful and added an interesting challenge to the wedding planning, with weather playing a big role. The story showed both Kira and Mattia’s points of view, which helped me understand their feelings better. Mattia grew a lot emotionally and was very caring. The romance was sweet and believable. Still, I enjoyed the book and found some nice sentences to remember. Thank you so much to the author and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read the book in advance, I received this for free and I'm leaving a honest review

Who would read a book set in the Alps in winter during the hottest time of the year? Me, obviously. For some reason, I always end up reading summer books in winter and winter books during summer. Don't ask me why; I wouldn't know.

I loved Mattia. He's so caring and wholesome... It was hard for me to love Kira just because it was the same problem over and over again, and I was hoping for more character development. I think Mattia did most of the emotional work here, and that isn't necessarily bad. I just prefer to see each character growing and improving themselves.

It was a nice read, not bad, not boring, though it wouldn't have hurt to have more funny and cute scenes to make me fall in love with it. I still have a few highlighted sentences, and that's always a good thing.
