The story was interesting, the writing style was a little difficult to get into. Thank you for the chance to review this.

I had a hard time finishing this one — it felt both overwritten and underdeveloped; the concepts around reincarnation and the Scottish folklore are interesting but not very defined. The unexplained prophesy lines and random Shakespeare quotes are jarring. The characters go from clueless to totally in love and aware of all the complicated rules of their existence. The magic system, though an interesting premise, needed more explanation to connect with.

Can love transcend the centuries? Anne Black Seed Of Scotland takes us on a journey into a world of immortals, prophecies and reincarnation, where the power of love is timeless.
I desperately wanted to love this book, but ultimately, I personally struggled with the writing style. While the story was compelling, the lore intricate and easily woven into the tapestry of modern Scotland, I was left wanting a bit more. I enjoyed the story itself as it was well-conceived. But I would have loved to have parts of the plot unravel to reveal themselves rather than be told things at the outset, and to really experience Anne’s past lives rather than the fleeting flashbacks we receive. I think it would have added a rich layer to the plot that would have endeared me more to the characters. If you love reincarnation romance, Celtic lore and magic, this book is for you.
Thank you to Rosanne Vaughan, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and NetGalley for providing me with a digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book has the kind of love story that lingers — one that feels both fated and hard-won. Anne and Sam’s connection is instant yet layered, a bond that carries the weight of lifetimes. Vaughan writes with such emotional depth that you can’t help but be pulled into their struggles, sacrifices, and the choices that shape their destinies.
What I loved most was how seamlessly the supernatural elements flow into the historical Scottish backdrop. The Celtic mythology and gothic atmosphere give the story a haunting, almost timeless quality, while the romance anchors it in something deeply human. By the final chapters, the mix of myth, magic, and raw emotion left me both satisfied and a little haunted in the best way.
If you like reincarnation romance, sweeping settings, and a touch of the mystical, this one will stay with you long after you turn the last page.

Seed of Scotland wasn't for me. I'd call it outlander adjacent but it never grabbed me and I ultimately did not finish the book.

A Timeless Romance Rooted in Reincarnation and Scottish Lore
For fans of reincarnation romance and supernatural lore, Anne Black - Seed of Scotland by Rosanne Vaughan offers a deeply emotional journey that spans time and hearts. This story weaves together the past and present with a rich tapestry of Scottish history, magic, and enduring love.
The characters are compelling, caught in a love that feels both fated and hard-won. The emotional depth Vaughan brings to their journeys makes this more than just a romance — it’s an epic tale of connection across lifetimes. The supernatural elements blend seamlessly with the historical backdrop, giving the story a mystical edge that kept me intrigued.
While I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and the atmospheric setting, there were moments where the pacing slowed, and a few plot threads could have been tightened for even greater impact. Still, the vivid storytelling and heartfelt emotions more than made up for it.
If you love stories where love transcends time, with a dash of magic and rich cultural lore, this book will be right up your alley. A solid read that lingers long after the last page.

I don't usually dnf books but unfortunately I just couldn't get into this one. I'm giving it five stars because the author spent a lot of time working on it. It just wasn't for me.

I was not able to finish this book. After reading the first two chapters, it became clear the book was not for me. It was hard to follow, repetitive, and suddenly switched character perspectives for short periods without reason. The concept was good but was executed in a confusing way.
