An important book with important notes hit. Wrapped around around people who are relatable with but also going through things most of us cant fathom it was hard but in all the right places.
It made me want to do better, think better,be better and KNOW better.
I try. I always try bit there is so much work to be done regarding certain points in this book. Sometimes humans are in grey areas. Sometimes very much at either end of those scales.
This story was a deep dive into my own thoughts whilst witnessing others.
I wanted to read it from the start of seeing the blurb. I've only small witness to some of the themes in the book and bigger ones to others. And the sports game and issues involved hit me solid in the gut. I've seen that world. Ugh.
I was therefore invested from the off and really glad I got to read it.

Autobiographical in style, and with an interesting life undoubtedly, this book failed to hit the mark for me. A little rambly, a little lank of coherent telling.

It’s an ok read, easy enough just for me not an engaging enough life to give it more than 2.5 stars (rounded up to 3).

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher Final Word Press for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
