I wanted to love this one so badly. I’m a total sucker for cozy holiday romance. The kind that make you want to curl up with cocoa and a blanket.

Unfortunately, this didn’t quite deliver that Hallmark sparkle for me.

Millie & Dale both lost their spouses way too soon, and fate plops them into the same seaside neighborhood. Millie rents the sweetest little cottage, makes some Ocean Breeze friends, and… surprise, surprise, one of them happens to be Dale, a fellow dog lover.

Friends to lovers, slow burn style. The problem? The burn was so slow it never really caught fire. I kept waiting for more romance, more depth, more holiday magic… but it stayed pretty lukewarm.

The shining star? The pups! The doggy lit warmed my heart more than the actual love story did. 🐶💌

I really enjoyed Millie and Dale's story. I didn't want it to end. I loved getting to know them. They made the perfect couple. Yes, they had their trials and triumphs and flaws too.
I loved that even the dogs got along!!
Little stories like these always tend to leave my heart feeling full and satisfied.
Sometimes they even get me in the Christmas mood.
What wonderful Hallmark movies these would make!! Wow!!

Absolutely amazing story the characters were absolutely amazing, the storyline was great. I was hooked from the first page.

An emotionally charged romance that will touch your heart in a big way! Millie and Dale form a bond that is so unique and both have such a heartbreaking past full of loss. Their grief connects them and the way they help each other grieve and heal is so powerful. I loved all of the dog content too!

This was so not what I expected. Twice I stopped reading it but eventually I had to finish. An interesting concept but a bit too long for me. I am glad they got to a HEA at the end
