Jane Brown is a professional organizer for Hollywood’s elite, known for bringing order to chaos. But behind her calm exterior, she’s critical, guarded, and struggling to manage the messiness of her own life, including a rocky relationship and unresolved family issues. When she takes on a new client, a former actress with a wildly different personality, Jane begins to see her emotional clutter more clearly.

Set in the glamorous but shallow world of Los Angeles, Mess is a witty and heartfelt story about learning to let go, open up, and find connection in unexpected places. Jane’s journey is both funny and touching, as she tries to apply her organizing skills to her own tangled emotions.

A professional organizer helps LA celebrity clients sort out their homes and lives while trying to deal with her own mess of a life in this emotional, humorous and highly relatable women's fiction novel by a new to me author. I really enjoyed Jane as a main character and all her interactions with the different people with their various problems/issues. I especially liked that she had a younger brother with a intellectual disability who she worried about eventually becoming a caregiver for once her parents passed away. Good on audio narrated by Gilli Messer and recommended for fans of books like Margot's got money troubles. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!
