Eh, pretty predictable. And I hated the "accident twist" part. (Don't want to spoil.) Was fine. Kind of jumpy in part, hurried in others. Liked the characters. Liked reading about Gildi's stuff she did on the ranch/in the kitchen.

this couldve been better

Love/hate relationship with the book.
Really wanted to love it, but it also wasn't quite what I had expected. It had a lot more in it than I expected, and yet it was slow at some points. I did like the ending, but wouldn't choose to read it again.
Thank you to the publisher, Netgalley & the author for this ARC read. All opinions are my own.

I tried to power through this novel and enjoy it, but I couldn't. The writing was simplistic and didn't feel a pull with any of the characters.

A great read and I loved the setting of the ranch. Goldi meets Luke when her car breaks down near his house. Will be fall for the city girl?

Goldi's Grumpy Cowboy was a book that felt good to read. The characters were easy to get attached to while they went through the ups and downs that Goldi and Luke had to experience and using humor and the chemistry between them was great. I enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one in the Cowboys of Sunshine Ridge series.
Thank you NetGalley, Niki J. Mitchell and Niki Mitchell Publications LLC for the copy of Goldi’s Grumpy Cowboy. This is my personal review.

Review for Goldi's Grumpy Cowboy by Niki J. Mitchell
Goldi's Grumpy Cowboy delivers the classic grumpy/sunshine trope set against a charming country backdrop, which I really liked as a premise. However, while the story was okay, I didn’t fall in love with it. The writing style felt a little too simple for my taste, and I struggled to connect with the characters on a deeper level. The romance and chemistry between the leads also felt a bit rushed, which left me wanting more build-up and emotional depth.
That said, if you enjoy quick, light grumpy/sunshine romances with a small-town, country feel, this might still be a fun pick for you.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This book exactly the kind I story I look for and the author didn’t disappoint.
I loved the tension between Goldi and Luke. She is fearless and he is gruff and guarded. Their chemistry is off the charts. The memory loss twist added an emotional depth to the story. I really enjoyed how the author gives a great mix of humor, healing, and swoon-worthy romance without feeling over-the-top.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy, I had a great time reading it.

I really enjoyed this story! I thought it was a unique idea about how they came together and I loved their chemistry and connection between Luke and Goldie was so good.

A cozy grumpy/sunshine cowboy romance, with a bit of heart break in the mix. It had me wishing for Autumnal months and the smell of trees and apple pies baking in the oven. The story was an easy read and perfect for a curl up on the sofa book.

Unfortunately, this wasn't my cup of tea. From the blurb, this book is everything I usually look for: grumpy/sunshine, cowboy romance, small town, but I just found it to be very lacking.
The writing style is very basic and for me lacked the depth I prefer for the characters to feel real. I didn't get the chemistry between them and overall it felt very rushed and surface level.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy to review.

Saddle up, sugar, because Goldi's Grumpy Cowboy is a delicious slow-burn romance with sass, steam, and just enough heartbreak to make you swoon harder than a city girl on a horse! 🐎💛

Goldi’s Grumpy Cowboy is a fun twist on the classic opposites-attract trope. I loved the tension between Goldi and Luke—she’s fiery and fearless, he’s gruff and guarded—and watching their relationship unfold on the ranch was like stepping into a modern-day fairytale. The memory loss twist added an emotional depth I didn’t expect, and I was completely invested in seeing whether love could beat the odds. I genuinely enjoyed how it balanced humor, healing, and swoon-worthy romance without feeling over-the-top.

Grumpy cowboy + runaway bride = giddy ME!
Y’ALL. This book had me swooning, snort-laughing, and yelling “JUST KISS ALREADY!” like a crazy person. 💋 Goldi is all sass and cinnamon rolls, and Luke? Whew, the man is pure ranch-grown emotional damage wrapped in flannel. Their chemistry? Off the charts. And when the memory-loss plot hit? I was clutching the book like it owed me emotional support. 😂 If you're into slow burns, cowboy growls, and heroines who don’t back down, saddle up—this ride is DELICIOUS. 🐎🔥💛
