When you don’t want to go school you have to go to work for your parents instead. It’s a cute story but I would not read it to my little ones because it makes jobs sound horrible and children should be encouraged jobs are fulfilling. I also had a hard time reading the words in the page because they were too light. This could be a digital formatting issue but I hope to print book has easier to see words.
The illustrations were cute and parts of it were funny.

Everything is relative!
This book is such a joy to read and hilariously spot-on from a grown-up’s perspective!
How many times have we told our kids, “Don’t rush to grow up, enjoy your childhood!”? And do you remember when your parents told you the same thing… and you rolled your eyes? Well, now we know why!
In this charming story, a little schoolkid decides he’s had enough and tries to live the lives of those around him: his baby sister, his mom, and dad.
Was it fun? Not really for him. But for us readers? Absolutely.
A clever and heartwarming reminder that every age has its own magic (and its own chaos).

I think this topic is important for children. The author took a humorous approach to it. While I enjoyed the story, the illustrations could have been better. Maybe if this author teamed up with an illustrator the book could be improved.

Overall, I liked the concept of the story but it really didn’t work for me. It wasn’t as engaging as I would have liked. The illustrations were good.

Very cute and fun book that will make children think about other perspectives. Every child experiences not wanting to go to school at some point or another so I’m sure many will be able to relate with Jonah. Story was short and fun making this very friendly for smaller children to be able to keep their attention in one reading session. May even be a good back go school read as well!

Funny picture book, readers will laugh at the parts of the parents in school or having a tantrum. or the main character, a little boy working as a dentist and for a company. The illustrations I could not make up my mind about. They are good yet strange at times. especially the last one of the parents. But they do convey the exaggerated emotions of the characters and bring added humor to the story.

A fun story about a six year old boy and his family members reversing their roles. Young kids will like the vivid pictures and imagining how mommy, daddy and baby sisters' day goes. The parents' faces were kind of grotesque for me but I think their exaggerated features are helpful for littles.

This is a really fun book that is perfect for young school-aged kids. The author managed to get very to-the-point, which allowed this book to maintain my attention and make the story an ideal length. Additionally, sentences are short and minimal, which makes this book a great choice for "younger" young kids. Yet another great thing about this book was the various angles from which the author chose to write. Jonah experiences his mom's job, his dad's job, and his sister's daycare, not feeling fulfilled in any of these settings. This was conveyed very clearly to the reader through the writing, but especially through the illustrations which were full of life and detail, which is always awesome. Bravo!
