This is an easy listen, narration is very well done and keeps you engaged. The pace is good and it's a quick thriller full of many twists and will keep you guessing. Wasn't sure about this one but it grew on me and enjoyed it.

It's amazing what the wealthy get away with! Elizabeth's husband disappears and is feared dead, which she refuses to accept. However, even more shocking than his disappearance is her discovery of his second wife. The narrator does a very good job with all the characters. It's a good story, which I believe would have been improved with the inclusion of the husband's point of view.

This one was a fun popcorn thriller. The pace was perfect and I love the execution of the story and how the plot developed. There was so many twist and turns that I just enjoyed this so much. I can’t wait to check out her more from her

The Double Wife is a racy, page-turning thriller. It covers many topics in one book, but the primary themes are family, trust, children, and, of course, lies. I listened to the Audiobook version as part of an advanced review, courtesy of NetGalley.
I am really impressed by Tegan Ashton Cohan's narration qualities. Deftly modulating from the voices of many women of varying ages, she made each pulsating chapter and the mind-bending twist come alive.
As a reader, the turn of events makes one switch sides more often than once, as each page turn unravels more pieces of the puzzle. One shudders at the thought of wondering what they would do if something like this happened to them. This is also an emotionally charged ride that unsettlingly plays with one's mind psychologically. A must-read!

I got an advance copy of this audio book for review purposes. First, it is NOT a twisty, psychological thriller. This is a good mystery, and you will probably see the end coming. The book is good. It’s told from the viewpoint of Elizabeth whose husband has disappeared while ice fishing on a warm Spring day in Minnesota. A thing that he would never do, except it is his ice shanty and his car was there and there were witnesses. However, when Elizabeth starts digging she finds a pager and a letter addressed to Corrine in Don’s night stand. She then finds out that he bought a house in Santa Barbara. This is where it got a little odd for me. She asks her 18 yo daughter, Amanda, help her set up a fake Insta account. Why is this woman in her 40’s and not know how to do a Fast People Search to find out who owns the house. How does she NOT know how to set up this IG account? Of course, Corrine has a child too. Of course the two women don’t like each other and each is blaming the other. It was good, but it’s a lot like many other books out there. So if you have something really great in your TBR pile, hit that first. This will keep. Thank me later

2.5
Elizabeth Bentley is a perfect wife to her highly successful and busy husband. When he never shows up for their anniversary dinner and police show up to inform her of an accident, Elizabeth starts to look for answers as to what happened to Don. She finds a letter written by Don to his wife, but not Elizabeth, another wife! Who is this other woman and what does she know about Don's disappearance?
This one has a strong premise, but missed the mark for me. The writing seemed juvenile and the characters were disappointing with their choices. I finished the book just to see where it ended up going and was disappointed with the outcome. The audiobook was well done and the pace of the book kept me listening, but elements just felt off throughout the story.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook for review.

Wow this book was great! Got me hooked right away! I loved Elizabeth right away. Fast paced, never got bored

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.
Meh. Voted up. Honestly too basic. I did not review RIGHT AWAY and totally forgot how it ended... I had to read reviews for a reminder.
So give it a try... but its not something that will stick with you.- At least it didn't stick with me.
Elizabeth Bentley has sacrificed a lot to play the role of perfect wife to her highly successful husband. Until one evening, she finds a letter from Don Bentley addressed to his wife… and it’s not Elizabeth’s name on the envelope.
Before Elizabeth can wrap her brain around the mysterious other woman, her husband vanishes on the eve of their anniversary. The police turn up at Elizabeth’s door, telling her there has been an accident. However, there’s one big Don Bentley’s body is nowhere to be found.
As the investigation into his disappearance escalates, the police are increasingly convinced that Elizabeth is responsible for murdering her husband. But she knows better... and so does the other wife.

I really enjoyed this one! The Double Wife kept me hooked from the very beginning and I flew through it because I just had to know what was going on. I’ll admit I saw the plot twist coming a little past the halfway point, but honestly, that didn’t take anything away from the story. It was still really well written, with great pacing and enough suspense to keep me reading late at night. If you like twisty domestic thrillers, I highly recommend giving this one a read!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the free audiobook in exchange for my honest review. Tegan Ashton Cohan does a fantastic job narrating this story and drawing the reader in.
This is a twisty, psychological thriller about what happens when a man marries 2 different women and has children with both of them. That is enough of a description to not give away too much and you want to go into this one as blind as possible.
I found this to be a fast paced listen that drew me in with all of the secrets and lies. At some point in the story, I suspected each character of being the killer. I liked the ending, found the characters to be well developed and the overall plot to be very satisfying. Highly recommend!

The Double Wife by Gina LaManna is okay. I enjoyed the unraveling of the truth but found quite a few interactions outlandish (for example, the cops not doing their own research and relying on Elizabeth to handle things). I also wish we could have heard from Don, as I didn’t see his appeal. The ending was very anticlimactic, and since I struggle to suspend disbelief, I eventually stopped caring who was guilty or what was true. All of the characters were unsavory.
I did not care for Tegan Ashton Cohan’s narration. She made a lot of wet or dehydrated mouth sounds that were hard to ignore. Also, she had very little range for the number of characters she needed to voice, and the teens sounded especially whiny and annoying.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media for providing me with an ALC.

Elizabeth is living a good life; wealthy husband, healthy family, everything is going well for them.... until one day she finds a letter her husband wrote to his wife...... and the name on it isn't hers.
This book was well written and well narrated, it was a pretty quick read with decent twists (one predictable, one more surprising). I just didn't find either wife or any of the kids to be at all likable or sympathetic. If this happened to my family, I would be wrecked and none of the people involved in this seemed to care too much. I would have really liked for the twist to be a snippet of the story from the husband's perspective, maybe if he had been the likable (or hateable!) one it would have given it a little more depth. I would definitely try more from this author, the writing was good and the pacing was good, I just didn't connect with the characters.

I really enjoyed this book and am grateful for the ARC copy. The story was engaging and well paced, and it’s made me eager to explore more of this author’s work!

Audio Book Review -Tegan Ashton Cohan delivers a sensible and easy to listen to narration following the tale of 2 wives destined to be intertwined by their husband. Tegan chronicles their lives with careful and comfortable diction that makes it very easy to get absorbed into the storyline

🎧audiobook/📖 ebook dual read
𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: On the eve of her 20th anniversary, Elizabeth’s husband Don doesn’t come home. Police arrive at her door suspecting an accident has taken his life. Elizabeth is not convinced, especially after she finds a pager and a letter to “My Wife” in Don’s bedside drawer. Problem is, the letter isn’t made out to her, it’s made out to Corrine. This novel is about two women, their husbands and the truth.

𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: I love immersion reads, especially when I get to say I enjoyed the audiobook more than the ebook. Narrator Tegan Ashton Cohan was great and perfectly executed the different characters voices and inflections. The writing was easy to follow and usually caused a compulsive need to keep reading. There were some lulls during the middle that seemed to drag on. I was pleasantly satisfied with the resolution and ending of this story- I did find the epilogue to be completely unnecessary and took from the superb ending of the final chapter. Add this quick popcorn thriller to your TBR! It’s great on audio and text, so your choice!

I gave this one 3 stars—not because it was bad, but because I was able to figure out the twist before the big reveal, which made the ending feel a bit predictable. That said, I actually enjoyed the author’s writing style quite a bit. It flowed well and kept me engaged throughout. Even though the plot didn’t fully surprise me, I’d still be interested in picking up another book by this author to see what else they can do.

The Double Wife is a twisty domestic thriller with just enough suspicion and suspense to keep you flipping pages. I bought into the premise right away—it felt surprisingly believable, even as the mystery unfolded in some wild ways. Elizabeth’s confusion, her search for answers, and the other woman’s involvement had me hooked. I liked both women and the way the kids tied in, but I wished their characters had been explored with more depth. Still, the pacing was solid and the tension stayed high all the way through.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars — PG-13 for language and adult themes.

Thank you so much to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this ALC of The Double Wife.
I really enjoyed this book. Everyone involved had way too many secrets. It was full of twists even up to the very end. You genuinely couldn't tell who was good and who was bad which made it even more fun.
I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a great job.

3.6 rounded up. A man goes missing and in her attempt to find him, Elizabeth discovers he may have another wife. Following clues and egged on by her best friend, Elizabeth and her grown children (18 & 20) work to find out the truth. When she comes face-to-face with her husband’s other wife, she must face reality. But where is he? Can the two women work together to find the man they both love?
I mostly enjoyed this novel but there were lots of nits that bothered me about their interactions and the ultimate resolution. Love the involvement of the girls yet the kids were not well developed as characters despite their pivotal roles. While the book had two narrators, their voices were too similar to be helpful. A throatier other wife might have made the audiobook easier to follow amid everyday distractions.
My thanks to the author, publisher, @DreamscapeMedia, and #NetGalley for early access to the audiobook of #TheDoubleWife for review purposes. The book and audiobook are now available.

This was pretty good. Fun fast read and I liked both head characters. I did see the end coming which was a bit of a let down.
