This book is a winner! I loved the first book in the series and this one is even better! Dovey is a mystic who has been fighting her feelings for Gib, a mundane who is an FBI agent and ignorant of the mystic world.

To be with Gib, Dovey strikes a bargain with her supervisor, but the cost is much higher she could have imagined.... Before long, people are dying and Dovey doesn't know who to trust.

Fans of the genre will love this book. While part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however, it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.

When I read the first book, I didn't enjoy it, but now that I've read this one, I am a fan.
Dovey is a mystic and has been alive nearly 200 years. Enrich is her maker, and even though she loves him deeply, she knows she's not the only one in his life.
Dovey has started having feelings for an unbound man, and she's terrified about how it will play out.
When FBI agents become victims of a crushing curse, Dovey knows a mystic is behind it, but how will she prove it.
I was beyond impressed by how much I enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait to read more.
