The latest installment in the Laurel Snow series may be the best one yet! On the heels of a deeply personal loss, Laurel once again finds herself embroiled in a mystery, a sniper is on the loose and bodies are popping up...are they accidental deaths or murders? That is the question Laurel and Huck strive to answer as they unravel the twisted threads connecting Laurel, Abigail, a laboratory and a sniper. Whoever unravels the threads first and figures out all the connections just may get to survive. Amidst this, Laurel is still working on understanding her own needs and emotions. With real, heartfelt characters, a bevy of evildoers, and strong moments of suspense and connection, You Can Scream is a must read!

I really dint enjoy romance in thriller books. If there is a bit of it I can enjoy the book but when its too much not for me. This book just wasn't for me.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley.

Wow! Definitely a FBI Laurel Snow thriller you won’t be able to put down! Suspense, intrigue, mystery all wrapped up in a fast-paced race to the end of the plot you won’t see coming.

The next installment of Rebecca Zanetti's Laurel Snow series did not disappoint. Her last book felt like a conclusion to the series involving Special Agent Snow, with her father dead and sister charged. I wasn't sure if we would see anymore from this thrilling world. I very rarely read suspense but Zanetti's ability to develop great stories and characters have me captivated by the this storyline and the interesting people she has written.
Special Agent Laurel Snow has evolved greatly since book #1, 'You Can Run'. As a highly intelligent individual, she has always been a little different. She doesn't quite understand societal norms or how to develop meaningful relationships. Her boyfriend, the Fish and Wildlife Captain, Huck Rivers has a lot to do with Laurel's growth. Working closely together, the duo have solved some fascinating cases.
Laurel's half-sister, Abigail, is being tried for the murder of their father. Like Laurel, Abigail is a highly intelligent individual. Unlike Laurel, Abigail has the inability to feel emotions or understand the difference between right and wrong. Laurel certainly does not sanction the actions of her sister, especially as it relates to the death of their father. Fact is, he was not a good man but as a member of law enforcement, Laurel believes he deserved the right to a fair trial. A sniper taking a close shot at Abigail on the stairs of the courthouse propels the FBI and local agencies into their next investigation. From there, everything seems to escalate tenfold. It is a race against time for Agent Laurel and Captain Huck as they try to figure out who is behind the latest strings of murders in their rural Washington town.
I am very happy to have more exciting adventures with Laurel Snow and am looking forward to Zanetti's next book in the series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

While awaiting the trial of her half sister someone is taking shots at either her or Abigail. Laurel and Huck know that Abigail is a gifted liar and sociopath everyone around her thinks she is just the helpless victim. When people start dying Laurel has to figure out if it is her or her crazy sister they are trying to kill while still trying to get Abigail convicted of murder.

Not sure how to classify this story—mystery? action-thriller? romance? psych study? The author has created a tale that crosses genres and keeps the reader guessing and entertained.

Everything seems to be ramping up. Huck’s confession had me swooning. As well as his overprotectiveness. Abigail is freakin crazy but I can’t tell if she genuinely loves her sister or not. Laurel’s growing from just being around Kate and her daughters. She’s forming attachments and learning to be more… relaxed? That’s not the best word to describe it but that’s because I’m not sure how to describe it. Either way, I’m loving this series and can’t wait to see what the next book will bring us.

The latest in a fantastic romantic suspense series, this book takes you on a rockin' and rollin' adventure. I've devoured this series in a matter of weeks and this book is one of the strongest in the series - a hefty 4.5 stars! I enjoy books with concurrent characters that grow and develop together - not in the same way or manner but one in that the storylines are connected. The setting, character development, and plot make this a wonderful read and one that truly does twist and turn. I am ready for the Abigail plotline to be resolved - maybe because of the evil that emanates from her is so creepy. But it does add a lot of color and angst to the story. I am anxiously awaiting book number six in this series - can't wait to see all these characters grow and develop and make me invest even more in their lives. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. Honestly I loved this book! Many thanks to the Author, publisher and NetGalley for this opportunity.

I had a hard time getting into the story this time. Abigail is becoming almost a caricature as an evil genius and Laurel has other things on her mind in my opinion. I would like this series to come to an end soon without spoiling too much in the meantime....
I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

We are back! Laurel Snow and her partner Huck are back!
We pick up where we left off last book. Laurel and Huck have faced a personal tragedy and in the aftermath, we are brought back to Laurel's narcissistic half sister Abigail. Abigail is on trial for the murder of hers and Laurel's equally psychotic father Zeke Caine. In addition to that, Laurel and Huck are called in to investigate several deaths that keeping circling back to her! Will Abigail be convicted for her crimes? Will the team solve the group of deaths?
This one kept me guessing and the suspense kept me intrigued! Great work!

Laurel Snow is back! I absolutely love this series! Laurel is shot by a sniper when leaving the courtroom with her sister Abigail. Was the sniper trying to kill her or Abigail? As Laurel and her team start looking into the disappearance of Walter's brother, they unearth a lot of secrets, which include what her sister Abigail is hiding now. Twists and turns with so many intertwining mysteries, this book keeps you captivated throughout reading. Love the budding romance between Huck and Laurel. This series has everything I love about a truly great series great characters, different storylines, and lots of mystery! Highly recommend this series! SO good!

Wow! Just wow.
I want to start by saying this is my true and honest review of an ARC I received from NetGalley.
Now on to the good stuff. I was so excited to be offered a chance to read this book early. I have LOVED this series from the beginning. The quirky FBI agent, and the broody man and his dog chemistry. Then you add in some great secondary characters and some murder. Oh, but don’t forget the bat$h!t crazy half sister. Once again, the casts all in and playing their parts spectacularly. The last half of the book I absolutely flew through. I just had to know who the killer was? How did it all tie together, and seriously what was Abigail up to now? This book isn’t even out and I already can’t wait for the next book.

Laurel Snow’s half-sister, Abigail Caine, is shot as she leaves the courthouse after being charged with the murder of their father, Zeke Caine. Laurel’s boyfriend, Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck Rivers, and Abigail’s beau, FBI Special Agent Wayne Norrs, are tasked with hunting the sniper. Meanwhile, Laurel and her FBI partner, Walter Smudgeon, are steered towards a mystery which involves a missing paranoid podcaster, bizarre deaths, and shifty scientists.
In You Can Scream, Rebecca Zanetti keeps Laurel and her team very busy dodging bullets and sorting through a maze questions that emerge whenever a new death is discovered. I love playing detective with her. She always keeps me guessing to the end!
The fun is doubled by watching Laurel trying to dodge her psychopathic sister Abigail, as well as her neighbour, the jealous and exploitive reporter Rachel Raprenzi. Imagine Laurel and Huck’s exasperation when Abigail agrees to an interview on Rachel’s show The Killing Hour!
“It’s like watching two cougars locked in a burlap sack.”
As much as I enjoyed the plentiful amount of shooting and danger that followed our heroes, I lived for the sweet scenes between Laurel and Huck. How are they recovering from their loss in You Can Kill? Will they stay together? Rebecca Zanetti is great at suspense, but she’s a romance author to the core. When Huck tells Laurel that she’s his reason? Oh, my heart, that was so beautiful. These two! They are my favourite sexy Zanetti cops. Without a doubt! I want more of them. Please. And thank you.

This has quickly become one of my favorite series! If you're a fan of "Bones," then this series and book are up your alley. I love the opposites attract romance with Laurel and Huck. Rebecca does a great job of picking up where the last book left off. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Abigail is still causing problems, and I can't wait to see how her story ends.
The author does a great job of showing various points of view without it being confusing or out of place. I feel that all the main characters are fairly represented. There's also a solid balance or romance vs the plot. The suspense and case come first. The romance and relationship between Laurel & Huck is there, and it IS important. but it's secondary in my opinion.
If you're looking to start a romantic suspense series, this is the one. Each book does a great job of focusing on a new case while keeping the ongoing story line going.

Thank you for the opportunity to review You Can Scream!! I received this book early via NetGalley. "You Can Scream" is another strong entry in the Laurel Snow series, filled with unpredictable twists that kept me guessing. The story picks up shortly after "You Can Kill," exploring Laurel’s relationships and interactions, especially with Huck and Abigail and introducing a new case for Laurel and her co-workers and others. I appreciate Rebecca’s use of multiple viewpoints and her skill at portraying complex character dynamics. While the main plot wraps up with surprising and not-surprising turns of events, several questions remain unresolved, especially between Laurel and her sister Abigail, as well as Laurel’s relationship with Huck. Looking forward to future developments in the series…and to Laurel and Huck’s HEA!! Thanks again!

Abigail is on trial for killing Zeke and her lawyer wants to talk to Laurel which she has no intention of doing. Coming out of the courthouse there a shot and both Laurel and Abigail go down but who's shot? One takes the bullet while the other doesn't. But who was it meant for?
This one was a nail bitter and kept me on edge the entire time wondering when and if time would run out.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Happy sigh. When it comes to romantic suspense thrillers, Rebecca Zanetti never disappoints. I don't typically like series with the same main protagonists, but I read an ARC of the first book and loved it enough to jump on the opportunities to read ARCs of the subsequent two of the series. Then this one popped up on Netgalley. What? I missed book 4? Without hesitation, I bought it and read it before settling in with this one. Not a single regret.
Laurel and Huck are as adorable as ever. Most chapters are told in the third person from Laurel's point of view. But Huck has plenty of his own (along with several from various other characters, sprinkled throughout). I realized in this book that the emotional connection in Huck's chapters nicely balance out the near total logic in Laurel's. I mean, Huck is smart and utterly capable, but he's clear about his feelings for Laurel and astonishingly patient in how he waits for her to come to the same conclusions. His emotions help the reader see Laurel's softer side. Plus, a Fish & Wildlife hero? Who needs a SEAL when you've got a beautiful man (with a dog!) that tracks bears, amiright?
The secondary characters shine as well. Walter and Ena, Kate and her girls, the random oddball or two up at the church. They add depth to the novel. To be fair, I'm getting a little tired of Laurel's crafty sister Abigail and the back and forth between them. Kinda just want Laurel to throat punch Abigail and call it a day. Or maybe not push her out of the way of the next bullet that heads in her direction. But since the tie between them is the overarching series storyline, and I'm looking forward to more Laurel Snow, I'll be patient.
All this to say that I loved the book and totally recommend it, but do yourself a favor and start from the beginning of the series.
I received an ARC of this book for free from the publisher and Netgalley. I'm writing this review voluntarily, and it reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!

Rebecca Zanetti did it again..this is the fifth book of the Laurel Snow series.. she is a FBI agent who is a genius.. she dating Huck who is very protective of her....someone is murdering people but making it look like accidents and she has to figure out who is behind all the killings.. This book has you guessing who it is ..if you like thrillers and romance with some spice..this series is for you

This is one of my favorite series, and this installment continues to remind me why. Five stars for this incredible romantic suspense thriller with an ending I didn’t see coming!
This time around, Special Agent In Charge Laurel Snow is investigating multiple murders and trying to see how they fit together. She is also dealing with the upcoming trial of her sister. Laurel is used to having multiple tasks to deal with at one time. She is brilliant - literally - and is always trying to put the puzzle pieces around her together.
There is also her relationship with Captain Huck Rivers. Their relationship continues to evolve and grow stronger - I love them!
I also love the relationship between Laurel and her sister Dr. Abigail Caine. Each new installment of this series brings their cat and mouse game to another level.
I know that I am being light on the details of this one, but I don’t want to give anything away. And while this can be read as a standalone, I strongly recommend you start this series from the beginning. You will love this series, and you will really appreciate this story.
I cannot wait for more!
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing for the opportunity to read this one early! I truly love this five star series! This one is out on December 16th - you have plenty of time to catch up if you are new to this series. Preorder it today!

You Can Scream by Rebecca Zanetti is another standalone, Laurel Snow, romantic suspense thriller. If you've read the previous Laurel Snow mysteries, you'll have more of the back story, but You Can Scream can be read on its own. Laurel is an FBI Agent, and she's just trying to live her best life with her romantic partner, Fish and Wildlife Captain, Huck Rivers. Unfortunately for Laurel, bodies abound, in an even creepier than normal way, and someone may be trying to kill her.? Or someone close to her? It's up to Laurel, and her team, to sort it all out while trying to outrun the killer. You Can Scream is a fun, suspenseful, romantic thriller. I loved every minute. ... But I may have had to take some self-care breaks along the way. ;-)
