Loved this mystery thriller! Captivating storyline with well-developed characters, and the perfect blend of drama, intrigue, suspense, and heart. Action-packed with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Well written with a good pace that's hard to put down! Looking forward to the next book in this Laurel Snow series.

Picking up where the previous book left off, Laurel and Huck needed a break, and they got that. However, when they returned, the lives they left were unchanged; Laurel’s sister, Abigail is on trial. A few unfortunate events also happened surrounding Laurel’s team, and Laurel and Huck have to determine if they are connected. Rachel interviewing Abigail was unexpected but perfectly them. Abigail and Laurel acted more like siblings in this book, especially when Laurel had the urge to elbow her. While each story follows a different case, I would definitely recommend reading the books in order because they follow the same detectives and people: there are continuing storylines. This is the next book in the Laurel Snow series, and I have been waiting on it after the ending of the previous one. I can’t wait for what’s next for Laurel, Huck, their teams, and Abigail.

This series goes from strength to strength - FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow is in an ongoing battle with her half sister , Abigail , a
true sociopath with an uncanny ability to manipulate those around her .
I would recommend reading the previous books to set the characters and their relationships in place before attempting
to read this latest book .
Abigail is on trial for the murder of their shared father , but her confidence is high that her plea of self defence will be accepted
and thus her freedom to interfere in Laurel's life will restart yet again . But when a sniper first strikes on the courtroom steps
and then again in Laurel's office doubt is raised as to who the real target is ..... Abigail or Lauren ??
When other deaths occur at a laboratory including another sniper hit Laurel her partner Huck and the team are hard
pressed to find a link between them .
The book is character driven , where sociopathy places a major roll , fast paced and full of twists and turns ,
.............. who can our heroes trust ? who is hiding in plain sight ? ............ it makes for a fascinating read .
I look forward to the next book in the series
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

This is book 5 of the Laurel Snow series. FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow is still trying to get her half sister Abigail, a sociopath who killed their father but claims it was in self defense convicted and sent to jail for good. To complicate things someone is trying to kill Laurel or so it seems. We see a few new characters and lots of characters from previous books. Captain Huck Rivers is always there to support Laurel and make sure she is safe. This book is action packed and we will see Laurel having to make a tough decision in order to keep everyone safe. Time is ticking as our favorite FBI agent and her team race to stop an event with deadly consequences for her and others. You will not want to put this book down.

This books continues the saga of FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow and the never ending battle with her half-sister Abigail. Abigail is on trial for the murder of their shared father but Abigail claims it is self defense. Laurel and her boyfriend Huck certainly know better but Abigail is really good and snowballing people, especially men. After Abigail enters her self-defense plea, a sniper tries to take her out on the court steps. However the sniper seems to be after more than just Abigail. Additionally there are mysterious deaths at a laboratory Is the sniper after Abigail? Laurel? Is the sniper connected to the deaths at the lab? Will the sniper's real target be identified before more people die? Another fantastic book in the saga of Laurel and Abigail. Can't wait for this series to continue!.

You Can Scream is book five and delivers a with non-stop action, suspense, and romance. I was hooked from the beginning. The story started out with a slow, balanced build of information. At times I wanted to holler hurry up and get after it!. Abigail was front and center since she is on trial for murder. She is definitely someone that you love to hate. I was kind of hoping that Abigail would die but the series needs her for intrigue. She definitely bristles Laurel up. Laurel and Huck are both coming to terms with their feelings for each other and I’m so glad. They complete each other. I highly recommend this entire series!

What an absolutely gripping ride this book turned out to be! I’m not surprised—Rebecca is an incredible author, and this series just gets better with each book. I was honestly hooked from the first page and tried my best to savor the experience, but I couldn’t help myself.
Oh, and the baddie! Boy was I wrong about that!
Thank you to NetGalley and Rebecca for the ARC—I cannot contain my excitement for the next book!

FBI Laurel Snow & Huck Rivers are back in another thrilling read. Will Abigail go down for the murder of Zeke Caine. He wasn’t the best of fathers a monster that deserved to go to prison forever. But will her half sister get the better of everyone again?
Someone wants them both dead but is this related to their father’s church or something else?
Will Laurel & Huck move forward in their relationship?
A secret lab & a deadly experiment could change everything will they be able to stop it in time?
A great read in the series. Abigail keeps us guessing about her end game. Will Laurel ever be able to stop her for good?
Thank you Netgalley & the publisher for the copy. This is my voluntary review.

You Can Scream is a gripping, suspenseful novel rooted in science, bio-weapons, and psychological manipulation. It explores the twisted use of alkaloids extracted from yew trees—originally studied for treating dementia and Alzheimer’s—but later weaponized to induce madness and death. The concept is both chilling and fascinating, and the story delivers on its promise of high-stakes tension and intrigue.
The plot unfolds like a watercolor painting—layer by layer, with a balance of precision and unpredictability. One of the most compelling aspects is how each chapter adds depth before the victim’s body is discovered, and how characters are unknowingly pulled into a web of danger long before they realize they've been targeted.
I particularly appreciated that the book keeps you guessing. It wasn't until the final five or six chapters that I could piece together the larger picture. The twist involving Abigail’s attorney being the sniper—when Laurel initially believed she was the target—was especially well done. The revelation that Dr. Sandoval and Abigail were the true targets added another satisfying layer to the narrative.
The character of Abigail stood out as a personal favorite. She’s not a clear-cut villain, but rather a cunning, resourceful woman who navigates the most difficult situations with intelligence and strategy. Her ability to turn things around, especially when accused of her father's murder, showed both her depth and complexity.
The suspense is beautifully sustained throughout 80% of the book, with the remaining action-packed sequences rounding it out perfectly. The length—284 pages—felt ideal in today’s fast-paced world. In fact, I wouldn’t have minded if it were even a hundred pages longer, given how engaging it was.
There were minor grammatical issues—for example, a typo on page 177 ("couldn’t not")—which could be polished in future editions, but they didn’t detract significantly from the overall experience.
In conclusion, You Can Scream is a smart, dark, and thrilling read—perfect for fans of crime, suspense, and science-based fiction. Highly recommended for readers who enjoy multi-layered plots and morally grey characters

Not my favorite in the series.
The story pulls you in right away and before you know it, you’re already 60-70% through the book without even realizing how fast time passed. But despite that, not much actually happens. It's mostly just vibes, scenic descriptions, a few random events that don’t make much sense yet and, as always, Abigail being smug, manipulating everyone around her without facing a single consequence.
Just when I was really starting to get frustrated with her antics the book suddenly wrapped up. Every random thread that had been dangling throughout the story came together all at once, almost too quickly. We barely get any time to sit with the aftermath before it ends and sets us up for the next book.
As much as I’ve enjoyed the ride so far, I’m starting to feel fatigued. The overarching plot has barely moved forward. We keep getting filler books that follow the same repetitive pattern: villain attacks, Abigail charms or tricks everyone and somehow escapes accountability—again, for the fifth book in a row. It’s becoming genuinely frustrating.
Of course I’ll still pick up the next one.
But I’d really love to see some actual progress in the plot and character development soon.
Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Publishing for the digital ARC!

Another great read from Rebecca Zanetti. I love Laurel and Huck but certainly not Abigail. Abigail is accused of murdering her father. She claims self defense but was it Lots happening in this book. I loved it and this series.

This was such an addicting book. I couldn’t put it down! Fast-paced and twisty. Great thriller! Read it; you won’t regret it!

This is one of my favorite series by Zanetti, I couldn’t wait to start it and ended up finishing it in one sitting. It had non-stop action, romance, murder, and so much more. As soon as you start the first chapter you are hooked and can’t wait to see what will happen next. Zanetti’s characters are well-rounded and keep on changing and growing as we read each book. Laurel who is an FBI agent with an unusual memory for facts and has just come back from a vacation with her lover, Huck. On their first day back, they went to the courthouse to see what was happening in the case against her half-sister, Abigail. When someone tries to kill Abigail outside the courthouse and Laurel and Walter were then attack after checking on Walter’s brother things begin to heat up. I highly recommend this excellent series and story. Thank you Netgalley and Kensington for the ARC in Exchange for an honest review.

Absolutely thrilling and action packed. The action starts right off and just gets better from their I absolutely love Huck and Laurels relationship and how he is so patient with her sometimes he just gets her the storyline is fantastic and they just keep getting better this book is definitely worth the read and I can't wait for the next book.

This series keeps me thinking. There are so many twists and turns that it is very challenging and suspenseful. Laurel and Huck are pulled into several investigations that intertwine. Abigail is being charged with the murder of Zeke which honestly is not even in the top tier of the things she has done to warrant scrutiny. As much as I love Laurel, there’s something about Abigail that is so intriguing. I always feel like my brain got a work out after reading a book from this series and this one is insightful and compelling!

You Can Scream by Rebecca Zanetti, published by Kensington Publishing, is book 5 in the Laurel Snow Series.
This is not a stand alone. The story picks up where the previous book was left off.
FBI Agent Laurel Snow and her boyfriend Huck Rivers are through a lot. Only now to attend the trial of Larel's half-sister Abigail for the murder of their father. At the same time Abigail, the brilliant psychopath gets shot at, her partner's half-brother vanished, and both are run down on the highway. And that happens in the first hour only.
Laurel's world unravels more and more and in the end the big show down awaits, Laurel has difficult decisions to make.
This is hands down my favorite read in 25. The writing is exquisit, the plotlines brilliant, I loved meeting characters from previous books. I recommend the book and the series that deserves all the stars.

Laurel’s family was never simple, but her half-sister, Abigail, a brilliant, unpredictable psychopath, just made it lethal. Accused of murdering their father, a man she always called a monster, Abigail claims self-defense. As the trial unfolds and long-buried family secrets explode into headlines across Washington State, Laurel’s hard-won privacy is shattered. And the nightmare is just beginning! Great read! This book was almost fantastic thriller! It had chilling suspense, murder, mystery, intrigue, action, and a few shocking twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting! I highly recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me! Can’t wait for more!

I'm so happy that Zanetti blessed us with another pulse-pounding, installment to the highly addictive Laurel Snow series! You Can Scream is book five and delivers a captivating tale filled with non-stop action, suspense, and a bit of mild romance. I was hooked from page one! The story started out with a bang and didn't let up until the very end. It seemed like every other chapter of this book had a PING or some sort of disturbing scenario fraught with chaos. Characters just kept dropping like flies left and right. I loved every minute of it! I was really hoping that Abigail would be one of them, but no such luck. I know that the books wouldn't be the same without her, but I'm so annoyed with her character and would love nothing more than to have justice prevail. Fingers crossed that karma comes for her when the author decides to end this series. That would be the best ending us readers could ask for! Until then, I will happily continue to devour every book of this series! I highly recommend!
Thank you to Kensington Publishing for granting me a digital ARC via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review!

Laurel's psycopathic half-sister Abigail is accused of murdering their father. She claims self-defense.... Her partner Huck helps but chaos unbounds... She has to rely on Abigail as well...
Love this book. Laurel and Huck are terrific together. Love how understanding and patient he is. The mystery is good and filled with twists and suspense. Abigail and Laurel's situation is complicated and very compelling. Love how all the characters have evolved and flashed out. Enjoy the story a lot.
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.,
