Another suspenseful, page-turning, and intense installment featuring Laurel Snow. I was on pins and needles the entire time I was reading and simply couldn’t put it down. Not only does Laurel have gripping crime cases to solve, but she’s also trying to figure out what her sister is up to, which adds an extra layer of tension.

The plot twist at the end completely took me by surprise—and I’m usually pretty good at seeing those coming! Rebecca Zanetti does an incredible job keeping the reader guessing, and the pacing never lets up.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys smart, fast-paced thrillers with strong characters and unexpected turns.

Absolutely Unputdownable – A Must-Read for Thriller Fans!

“You Can Scream,” Book 5 in Rebecca Zanetti’s brilliant Laurel Snow series, is another gripping, twist-filled thriller that kept me glued to the pages until the very last word. I literally stayed up all night to finish it – and it was so worth every lost minute of sleep!

While this installment can technically be read as a standalone (Zanetti does a fantastic job weaving in key backstory), I highly recommend starting from the beginning of the series to fully appreciate the depth of the characters, especially the complicated and utterly fascinating relationship between Laurel and her half-sister, Abigail. Trust me—you won’t be disappointed. The emotional weight and character development layered over the taut suspense are even more satisfying when you’ve taken the whole journey with them.

Zanetti delivers everything I love in a thriller: twisted family dynamics, chilling murder investigations, psychological mind games, and just enough slow-burn romance to keep things sizzling. Laurel and Huck’s bond continues to evolve, even as chaos encroaches from every side, and the stakes in this book feel higher than ever.

If you're a fan of authors like Kendra Elliot, Melinda Leigh, Allison Brennan, or Karen Rose, run—don’t walk—to start this series. “You Can Scream” is a wild ride through the icy Cascade Mountains, full of dark secrets, chilling conspiracies, and emotional depth that sticks with you long after the final page. I can’t wait to see what Rebecca Zanetti has in store next!

Thanks to Ms Zanetti, Kensington Publishing & NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review

FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow and Fish and Wildlife captain Huck Rivers are back in this thrilling, suspenseful story. Laurel’s half sister Abigail is going on trial for the murder of their father. Even though he was a monster, Laurel wants Abigail to go to prison but she is claiming self defense. They are also investigating the death of an employee of Oakridge Solutions when a doctor is shot right beside of Laurel. A couple more bodies turn up and they all have lesions on their brains. Someone is shooting at Laurel and then someone tries to run them off the road and Huck is sticking right by her side. Then Laurel and Abigail are both taken and they have to save themselves and two more people before a biological weapon is released.

Excellent story. Steamy. A narcissistic half sister. A woman who doesn’t know how to show her feelings. A guy who loves her and wants a longtime relationship with her. Kidnapping. Didn’t see that ending coming.

This book is a winner!!! It's romantic suspense at its best. It begins with Abigail facing a trial for killing her father. As a master manipulator, she seems to view others as chess pieces she can control at will - including her halfsister Laural, an FBI agent.

What follows is a compelling story that had me flipping pages just as quickly as possible. The story is complex, yet filled with heart and characters that i felt invested in.
While part of a series, this is a stand alone novel. However, because it picks up where the prior books ended, you will enjoy it so much more if you've read the prior books.

The author is a master at her craft and is on my must read authors' list.
