This story had gaps in it. I felt like they should have shown how the boar and tiger got in the well. I really liked the facts at the end and the incorporation of another culture. I think maybe some words were too hard for kids to understand or say.

Tiger and Boar in Trouble is a fun and transportive Indian folk-tale. The vocabulary is fun and creates an engaging reading experience. The art and colours in this book are gorgeous. There are some pages where the text feels a little long and would have benefited from being split up into multiple pages. The incorporation of language was a great way to evoke culture to readers of all backgrounds!

An excellent Children's book with great artwork. The story is engaging and sure to be a hit with young of all ages. The story provides a good moral and is an easy lesson for a child to perceive. The artwork is well-done, bright and engaging. This is a great children's book!
Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Tiger and Boar in Trouble is an inspiring true story about a community coming together to save two fellow beings with engineering and ingenuity.
This is a great non-fiction book report book for young people, with animal facts and a glossary.
The illustrations are lovely but I was disappointed that they were produced with AI.

The illustrations of the animals lacked expression and the story has too many gaps in the plot to make it flow for a young child.

This is an awesome book! Right off the bat I will say that I think this book has a fable-like feel to it, which is always meaningful for a younger audience. Just like a fable, this book has a moral that will serve readers throughout life, even after they finish reading this book. Additionally, the author's message of getting past differences and enemies coming together in serious situations is so important, and I give a lot of credit to the author for choosing this message. Yet another great thing about this book was the delivery. The story was a perfect length, and there was an ideal amount of writing on each page. As the reader, I didn't feel confused or overwhelmed at all while reading this book, and I had a fun time reading this story from India. Bravo!

Initially I thought this looked quite cute and was eager to read it, but I do not support books that use gen AI. Hire real artists. There is no excuse for using a machine that scrapes data from other artists without their consent. Do better.

Tiger and Boar in Trouble by Soumya Gudiyella is a true story set in India’s Pench Tiger Reserve, where a tiger and the boar it was chasing both fall into a village well. What follows is a heart-pounding rescue mission filled with quick thinking, community teamwork, and a surprising moment of calm between predator and prey.
This was such an incredibly interesting little story that I hadn’t heard before, and I was completely captivated. It was amazing how calm both animals remained while they waited to be rescued, and how the entire village gathered to watch the unfolding drama. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous—vibrant, rich, and full of movement—and it was fascinating to learn that the author used digital artwork and AI tools to help bring this wild adventure to life. I admire her creativity in using modern tools to share such a compelling story with readers far and wide. I also loved the included glossary, which introduced me to new words and pronunciations that deepened my connection to the culture. Both kids and adults will walk away having learned something from this beautiful, culturally rich tale.
