I really like this series! I like how well Cord and Ellie work together. This starts Ellie finding the bones of a missing teenage girl. this brings up the case if the missing girl Ruth Higgins.
The ends and out of the missing girls, and the people that are still in town from when Ruth, who does not sound like a nice person, went missing are all intertwined.
I will admit that I was surprised by who the killer was. even though a sad subject it was a really good book
I look forward to more with Cord and Ellie
Thank you Net galley and the author for the advanced copy

This was my first read by this author and I was so pleasantly surprised.
This was a really fun thriller/mystery. I find short chapters work well in thrillers, and keep the reader on the edge of their seat.
Cousins Ida and Hetty start the book out by seeing a girl being attacked fifteen years earlier. We learn Ruth, a 16 year old, disappeared, and their dad gravedigger Earl was the suspected killer.
This was a fast paced, easy to understand crime thriller, very entertaining.

Ellie is called to the discovery of a body. At first she thinks they have finally found the remains of Ruth Higgins who went missing 15 years ago but it turns out that this murder was much more recent. There are links with Ruth’s case and Ellie starts to fear that a serial killer is in town…
The Graveyard Girls is the 11th book in the Detective Ellie Reeves crime thriller series.
Past and present secrets are ready to be revealed as the case develops. Ruth had enemies and it is clear that Hetty and Ida are hiding a big secret but so is Ellie’s boyfriend Cord.
The book is written using very short chapters from a range of third person perspectives including the killer which increases the tension and drives the pace along rapidly. The characters also had a surprising depth and I felt sorry for most of them for dealing with circumstances as best they could whilst trying to protect themselves and others.
The Graveyard Girls is an enjoyable crime thriller.

I so love Ellie Reeves and the drama that unfolds around her. I do not think I could ever get enough of her and the people around her! This chapter is no different. Another murder, which becomes more than what they could have even begun to guess. Except, drum roll, someone knows more than they are letting on. Which creates more problems than if they had just opened up to begin with. This new case has Ellie and her team more than a little stumped and on edge as the killer could seemingly be a number of people in the small town that is not top far from hers. 15 years ago a young women vanished, and no one seems to know what happened, but for a lot of theories and finger pointing. Families were torn apart, lives were never the same and one woman came back home to find out if the body that was found could be her missing sister and try and repair her family. As more girls turn up dead the race is on and she will stop at nothing to see the killer brought to justice. Ellie has her work cut out for her with this one. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did! Bring on more Ellie and her team, family and friends!

When the skeletal remains of a teenage girl are discovered buried in a deserted graveyard it’s a chilling case for Detective Ellie Reeves. They think it could be Ruth Higgins, a 16 year old that disappeared years earlier. In the grave they find one red shoe and a red scarf that was probably used to strangle the girl. Everyone in the town suspected gravedigger Earl Bramble to be the killer, but her disappeared. As more graves are found, they assume that Earl must be back, killing again. Earl's daughters are questioned, but they know nothing and have had no contact with him. When an old secret is revealed that connects to one of her colleagues, the case is thrown into disarray. Parents and girls are scared, but some still sneak out to party. When another young girl is missing, Ellie and her team are hoping to solve this one and find the killer before her body is found in another grave.
Ellie and her team have a tough case to solve, with such a cold case. How many young women have been killed and buried with just one red shoe. When they find a new victim that was probably killed within the last 12 hours, they had new clues and information to follow. I like the way the team works together with Ellie at the helm. There are a lot of twists and turns in this story, and the culprit was hard to determine. We get the POV of the killer, but not enough to identify the person. There are a lot of characters with their own stories, flaws and backgrounds, making the story more realistic. I had no idea who the killer was and when it was revealed, my jaw dropped. It all made sense in hindsight. Overall The Graveyard Girls is a great crime thriller, one that kept me reading just one more chapter until I found I had finished it. I enjoy the Detective Ellie Reeves series, with each book having an interesting crime to solve. I definitely recommend the book and series.

This one has to be one of my favorites in this series! Loved everything about it and can't wait for the next one.
Thank you #netgalley and #bookouture for the eARC.

The Graveyard Girls by Rita Heron is a fantastic series and this is the 11th book in the excellent Detective Ellie Reeves series and I have loved reading every book. However, this book was a personal for one member of the team which made it a more intense read, and I could not turn these pages over quick enough to find out what happens next, which I had to read all day, I could not put it down until I had finished it. WoW that was some book - 💙 excellent from start to finish 💙
I highly recommend this series . . .They will not disappoint. Another 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ read.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC.

Definitely enjoying this series! I was thankfully to be approved for book 11! Definitely read them in order for character reasons.
This one through me for a loop. I thought I know who the killer was but nope!
Trigger warnings for people who have been in abusive households!

Detective Ellie Reeves Book 11.
This was a heartbreaking book that gets very personal for one member of the team. I loved ve this series and can't wait to read more.

This is my first Rita Herron book and I was not disappointed. I love a good serial killer police procedural and this covered all the bases. Id definitely want to go back and read the early books in the story to get more of Elli’s background and her history with Cort.
Ellie is called in to find the teenage girl killer who has been killing and dumping bodies in the Brambletown area for over a decade. She is able to connect the recent girls with girls of the past that have gone missing to come to the conclusion that they were all killed by the same man. He is still killing and Ellie is racing against the clock to find the killer before someone else dies.
I like that we get Rita’s timeline and also the killer’s. I’m always intrigued by the bad guy’s POV.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for my copy of this book.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book
wow where to start with this one
hes been a predator for years hiding his vicims in the ground and nobody has ever suspected him....
ida and her cousin have never had an easy life... they were scared of idas father and the town thought they were all trash so when he went missing everyone assumed he was the one that had something to do with ruth going missing
ruth family were torn apart after she disappeared but they remained faithful hoping that ruth would one day come back... but for the other sister and brother their lives were never the same again and each went their separate ways once they were older...
but when a body was found everyone was hoping that when the i.d came through it would answer all the questions about ruths disappearance
man what a ride this book was... so many twists and turns it was gripping right to the end...
looking forward to reading the next book in this series

This 11th installment in the Detective Ellie Reeves series is an intense and gripping read. Ellie and her team have headed to a small town, where old bones have been discovered. However, Ellie’s romantic partner, Cord, a Ranger, is harboring a secret. As the investigation unfolds, Cord becomes increasingly frazzled and desperate to conceal certain truths.
While Ellie’s heart is breaking for the what turns out to be more than one victim, she sees Cord becoming more and more distant. No doubt this has Ellie concerned about the future of their relationship. Despite her concerns, Ellie remains focused and determined to find the killer.
The case begins as a cold case, but the sense of urgency remains palpable, especially as a pattern becomes apparent. Meanwhile, an intriguing parallel unfolds, involving a grave digger whose two daughters are harboring their own secrets. The fact that the grave digger was abusive to his daughters and has mysteriously disappeared adds another layer of complexity to Ellie’s investigation.
This book is a heart-stopping and emotionally charged read. It is a powerful addition to the thrilling series by Rita Herron. You won’t want to put it down, as Ellie’s focus on the investigation and her growing concern for Cord’s emotional state are both critical to her success. The opening chapter sets the stage for an utterly compelling and suspenseful read.
Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for the chance to read an ARC of The Graveyard Girls by Rita Herron. This is the 11th book in the Detective Ellie Reeves series, and I enjoyed it as much as the previous books! The story is the usual twisty thriller/police procedural the author is known for. and I loved the short chapters, and fast moving plot. The books can be read by themselves, but there is an ongoing plot thread regarding Ellie, FBI agent Derrick, and Ranger Cord.

Captivating characters headline this suspenseful series! The eleventh book in the Detective Ellie Reeves series begins with a bang when a murder starts leading investigators on a chase against time to find out who is taking these teen girls and how they've missed it for so long! This series has been great from the very first book, but I feel like the deeper we get into it, the less the core background is retold so it's making it hard to be considered a stand-alone story at this point without going back and reading every book in order. I think some basics need to be updated as a minimum like the history of Ellie, her parents, the sheriff, Cord and Derrick, her half sis, etc., in order for someone to be able to pick up a new book and not feel like they are missing a part of the story. That said, this book had a very interesting concept and had twists that kept me guessing. I did enjoy finally having a bit of the Ellie/Cord/Derrick situation finally locked in and even seeing more future happiness on the horizon with how this book played out. Overall I love Ellie and can't wait to continue her saga!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a police intense case that always plays out with suspense and danger. I do recommend reading in order at this point in order to get the full enjoyment out of each character and especially keeping up on Ellie's background story.

Chilling and macabre!
Ellie is back in action alongside Cord but he’s keeping secrets that could derail their relationship.
The plot is engrossing and I’m firmly addicted to this series!
The killer was right in front of my nose the entire time and I couldn’t figure out who it was except he was a total sicko.
I didn’t like the divide between Ellie and Cord and I thought please don’t ruin this but major progress is made.
Another criminal is off the streets thanks to Ellie’s determination.

The Graveyard Girls is book 11 in the Detective series by my favorite Rita Herron!
The description of this book intrigued me, and I can safely say that the story was so much more than I had anticipated!.
It is a brilliantly written police procedural thriller that has you sat on the edge of your seat as the story begins to unfold.
The suspense levels are so perfectly paced, with it really ramping up as the story nears the end.
The Silent Doll's grasped hold of my attention right from the start, and I found myself fully immersed in the story immediately.
Thank You NetGalley and Bookouture for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!

I read this entire book in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down once I started! This entire series is fantastic! Highly recommend.

Wow! What a twisty, multi-layered story. There are multiple possibilities for the serial killer and he was not who I was speculating. Plus there's the mystery of what Cord is hiding. Given what we've learned of him in the previous books, I was hoping he hadn't done something horrible but you never know where a story is going to go. This story had me turning the pages to see where it was going to go next and to learn the secrets from when Ruth Higgins had disappeared.
Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I will say I enjoyed this one. Detective Ellie Reeves has had her share of trouble. I like that it finally seems to be working out for her. Then Cord’s past comes creeping in. I truly like these characters together. I hope that they continue to work together. Some things I guessed but I did not guess the killer. I truly like a book where the heroine has some kind of connection, it does not have to be romantic. And finally Ellie does and it happens to be romantic.

Another series I hope never ends. Detective Ellie Reeves is enjoying some quiet time with Cord. A phone calls brings it to an end. Derrick pops up and takes part in the investigation. The Graveyard Girls shines another light on how cruel teenagers can be to each other, layered in with small town gossip, secrets and more bodies. I don't want to spoil this for readers who have been following the series like I have, read the book. The Graveyard Girls was heart wrenching on so many levels, teenagers, adults, parents who shouldn't be parents and more. Here's to more Detective Ellie Reeves!
Thank you for the arc. I freely share my honest thoughts and opinions. #TheGraveyardGirls #DtectiveEllieReeves #RitaHerron #Bookouture #NetGalley
