This book starts off with a bang... literally! A car explosion and someone's dead! And that's just in the prologue! It was pretty action-packed. I did struggle to keep all the POV's straight. I think mainly because they are all women of the same age who have husbands, ex-husbands, and multiple children who all have a prominent role, and it got confusing. While the 3 women's stories were mostly different enough to set them apart, I still had to sit back and try to remember who was who more than I'd like. Parts were so freaking good, and I'm yelling to the book - No! Are you crazy? Don't do that! I liked the beginning better than the end, though. It lost a little steam starting halfway through for me and turned into a completely different book than I was expecting. I didn't like how often the Lord's name was used in vain. This was my first read by this author, and it kind of put me off reading anything else by her. It was an enjoyable read, and I expect if you're already a fan, you'll love this one too.

LOVE Seraphina. She never ever disappoints. This one is my new favorite. I couldn’t put this book down. The deception & deceitfulness throughout had me white knuckling my kindle. Unbelievable plot with a plot twist ending that is impossible for anyone to see coming. Give me more thrillers like this!

This book pulls you in from the first page and doesn’t let go until the end. The cast of characters is flawed, but intriguing, and the alternating POVs of Andi, Sasha, and Regan unleash some banger twists. I don’t want to give anything away, but if you enjoy fast-paced popcorn thrillers, this is a great read.

Thank you Harlequin Trade Publishing and NetGalley for a digital copy of this book. The opinions are my own and freely given.

A Labor Day barbeque kicks off this book, and a car explodes killing, not the owner of the vehicle but her friend.

Regan's husband died a few years ago leaving here and here teenage son. The son seems to have gotten close to another teenage girl who mother is in Regan's group. But questions are starting to mount as too how much is really going on the tightknit community and when one woman goes missing it is an all-out battle to bring her home.

OMG, this book is crazy good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has so many twists and turns I had to hold my head to keep it from spinning while reading. This is such a good story, but make sure you have a day or two free when you start it. You won't be able to stop until you get to the last page once you start.

🏡 T H R I L L E R T H U R S D A Y review and book tour 🏡 featuring “Too Close to Home” by Seraphina Nova Glass!

Cloverhill Lakes is an idyllic waterfront community that is known for its elite school district and the safety it offers its residents. No one really has any worries besides where to go for brunch, what time wine-o-clock is and who is hosting the next backyard bbq.

However, the sheer bliss ends now as the community is deeply rattled when a car explodes during their annual Labour Day party. Shortly after, one of their neighbours goes missing without a trace! Complete chaos tears through the community as betrayal, secrets and lies start to break the perfect mould of this not so perfect neighbourhood.

💭 I refuse to say anything else because you need to go in as blind as possible! This book is CHAOTIC and WILD and TWISTED and totally rattled my brain! I loved the idea behind shattering the dream neighbourhood one piece at a time! The story is told through the POVs of 3 friends who are all messy, dramatic and make you question everything!

Thank you kindly to @seraphinanovaglass @htp_hive @htpbooks @parkrowbooks @harpercollinsca @thrillerbookloversthepulse for my advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest review and a spot on this book tour! I was so excited to get my hands on an early copy of this book!! Look, I know your TBR is long and April is several months out, but I am telling you this book needs to be on your radar!!!

This story is fast paced with twists and tension and drama…and some dark secrets! Cloverhill Lakes is this “perfect, safe community” but we know everything is rarely what it seems!! Regan’s car goes 💥 and while someone else was unalived…she knows it was meant for her…

This is one of those books that will keep you guessing! I loved the mix of suspense and suburban drama. We have three main characters and we follow each one and uncover lies and secrets and betrayal..

The last part of this story was a wild ride and there were a couple of twists I never saw coming!! The author did a great job pulling everything together!

✨What To Expect:
⁉️Psychological Thriller
💥Suspense & Drama
🔍Murder Mystery…or is it?

When I tell you this book hooked me from the first page… 👏 Seraphina Nova Glass does it again!
What starts as the picture perfect community quickly unravels into secrets, lies, and a mystery that had me questioning everything. This story is layered in paranoia, grief, and neighborhood drama that kept me glued to the pages. The tension is sharp, the atmosphere is unsettling, and the twists?!? SOOOOO GOOOD.
If you love domestic thrillers full of dark secrets and explosive reveals, this one is a must read.

Thank you to Seraphina Nova Glass and Park Row for the ARC!

The lakefront community of Cloverhill looks perfect - a great school district, safe neighborhood, and friendly backyard bonfires. But nothing is ever really as good as it seems, is it? When Regan’s car explodes at the community Labor Day barbecue, it sets a shockwave through the community. The wrong person is killed, but it was meant for Regan - but who wants her dead? As Regan struggles to come to terms, she then thinks she sees her husband - who has passed away. Then a neighbor goes missing. Just what is really going on in this idyllic town?

We are HUGE fans of Seraphina at The Pulse - I think every single one of us jumped at the chance for this book! As usual, Glass delivered a literal pulse-pounding thriller, where everyone seemed innocent yet suspect at the same time. Told from multiple points of view, it is the women of this community that truly hold it together. Each has a secret, whether from the past or present, and as bits and pieces of those secrets come to light, the tension is taut. And the way the storylines came together was wild! I loved every bit of this one, and although the ending was very satisfying, I was still sad it was over!

“Too Close to Home” releases april 14, 2026. This review will be shared to my instagram blog (@books_by_the_bottle) shortly :)

Cloverhill Lakes is the type of community that people are are drawn to for its safety and top-notch school district. The moms meet for coffee at the park while their kids play, they’re heavily involved in the PTA, and the summers are filled with chardonnay, brunch, sundresses, and backyard bonfires.

When a resident of this seemingly perfect community suddenly goes missing, dark secrets begin to surface from underneath the idyllic veneer of this beautiful community…and the truth threatens to destroy them all!

I have become a big fan of Seraphina Nova Glass, so as expected, this was one intense fast paced thriller! The action starts at the very beginning and does not stop until the end. It’s told from different points of view, alternating between three friends named Sasha, Reagan, and AndI. All three women have secrets they are hiding and they have all become entangled in the drama and chaos surrounding the community. As their individual stories are revealed, it becomes clear that nothing is as what it seems. This book is like a puzzle with so many pieces that need to fit together. I couldn’t put it down, as I had to know how the stories were connected and I needed to find out how it all came together in the end!

This story delivers from multiple angles! A fast paced, twisty thriller that’s easy to read, with several POVs and intertwined mysteries that kept me guessing page after page.
Neighbors Regan, Andi and Sasha are close friends who support each other, until each is forced to confront their own crises. A car bomb, a missing person, menacing messages, strange sightings and a sullen and a brooding teen disrupt the serenity of their community, revealing hidden secrets along the way.
A gripping tale which is perfect for fans of suspense and complex thrillers that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.25/5). **Add to your TBR List….Pub Date is 4/14/26**

Clover Lake is an idyllic wealthy lakeside community where everyone knows everyone, secrets and gossip are everywhere. The annual Labor Day picnic is in full swing when a horrific turn of events sets the tone for this fast paced thriller. Andi, Sasha and Regan are friends and find themselves in this domestic drama.

Multiple POVs and shorter chapters had me turning pages and kept the suspense building. A fairly large cast of actors led me to keep notes at the beginning, but it was quickly discarded. The individual dramas were set up perfectly, making me anxious to see how they would all come together. And just when I thought it was over, another twist.

Many thanks to my friends at ThrillerBookLoversThePulse for introducing me to SeraphinaNovaGlass. I so look forward to reading her again. Thanks to Htpbooks, parkrowbooks and Netgalley for this ARC. This is my honest opinion.

I have LOVED all of Seraphina's books ive gotten to read so far and this one definitely starts out with a BANG 💥 .... LITERALLY.
I think this is my FAVORITE book of hers...yet. The amount of suspense, tension, and dont forget jaw dropping twists.... HOLY fcking SH!T. And the ending....🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

This is super fast paced. I read it in 2 sitting. (Stupid work) It's got multiple POVs that weave and intricate web that leads to plenty of thrills. Every end of a chapter leaves you guessing and wanting more. I can't rave about this book enough. You will definitely need to clear your schedule for this unputdownable thriller.

TOO CLOSE TO HOME by @seraphinanovaglass
📖 EARLY book review • pub date 04.14.26
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.5)

this is my fourth book by her and I can honestly say it’s my favorite! my FAVORITE thing about her books is basically every chapter ends on a cliffhanger and keeps me wanting more & turning the pages!! this one is no exception - it’s atmospheric, suspenseful, with lots of moving pieces that all tie together in the end. I love a good neighborhood thriller and so excited to add another to my list of recs.

synop:
Those lucky enough to live in the elite lakefront community of Cloverhill Lakes are drawn to it for its safety and top-notch school district. But everything changes when Regan Hoffman’s car explodes at the annual Labor Day party.
The wrong person is killed, but it was meant for her. As the carefully crafted walls of her community begin to crumble, Regan tries to keep it together-something made infinitely harder when she sees her dead husband...alive. When a Cloverhill Lakes resident suddenly goes missing, dark secrets begin to surface from underneath the idyllic veneer of their beautiful community-and the truth threatens to destroy them all as Regan finds herself in a fight for her life.

HIGHLY recommend this one - huge thanks to @thrillerbookloversthepulse @parkrowbooks for my gifted eARC!

This is the fourth year in a row I’ve early read SNG and unfortunately this was not my favorite of hers, but it was still an entertaining domestic drama/suspense and a quick read. I would not classify this as a thriller though. I struggled a little bit with all of the multiple POVs and backstories including the FMCs, their spouses, their exes, and their multiple children *phew*. The plot was a little slow, convoluted, and far-fetched, but the story still ties together in the end with plot twists I did not suspect.

Overall, 3.5/5 stars ⭐️

Thank you to Seraphina, HTP, Thriller Book Lovers Pulse, and NetGalley for the e-galley.

💙𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚊𝚢...Gosh, I adore Seraphina’s thrillers!! 🤩One of my all time favs is On A Quiet Street & I have read her entire backlist minus one(I need to get on that!). This one will have you hooked 🙌from start to finish with so many twists your head may spin. 🌀 You follow three neighbors & each POV has SO much going on with cliffhangers at the end of each chapter. 😳In most books I always prefer one POV the most, but I loved following all three of these equally & all had such a shit storm going on! 🤪 A superb thriller! 👏🤩

In Too Close To Home, a nice peaceful lakefront community is rocked by a series of events that make its residents begin to think that their neighborhood is not as safe as they once believed it was. This book is told in short chapters that keep you turning the pages of this fast-paced thriller. This one kept my head spinning. So much so that I often had problems keeping the three FMCs straight. After I finally got a grasp on who was who, things were heating up, secrets were being exposed, and my jaw couldn't stay closed. I did not see any of these twists coming. I'm still processing through some of the events. That's how crazy of a ride this one is.

What a delightfully twisty thriller! Set in one of the safest towns, Cloverhill Lakes, it is an idyllic place until a car explodes at the Labor Day Party. Reagan, Andi, and Sasha are harboring secrets and will do anything to keep their families safe but are their secrets somehow connected? Will they discover the truth before it is too late? From the start I figured out that there were secrets being kept that would impact the outcome but I could not figure them out! Told from the different characters’ point of view each chapter revealed a little more and I could not stop reading until the very end. The action was non-stop and as each secret was revealed i was more connected to the story. This is the first book I have read by this author and it will not be my last. The writing style drew me in and the action kept me reading. I highly recommend this to readers that enjoy thrillers with suburban Moms as the main characters.

I’ve enjoyed all of the books by this author. She writes great characters, particularly wealthy characters behaving badly. There are plenty of twists here and a great ending I didn’t see coming. Mark your calendars for this one!
