The "Doxology" has been one of my favorite hymns since childhood, so reading this book was a fun experience. It also brought back many good memories; the book immediately reminded me of the Little Golden Books' "Hymns" and "Prayers for Children" volumes, which were also childhood staples. (Indeed, I found myself humming the melody over the rhymes.) The text serves as a great way to introduce children to the song itself as well as celebrate God for all the beauty He's placed around us, both in nature and within ourselves. I enjoyed the author's technique of breaking down each of the doxology stanzas; he uses them to meditate on the wonders of the earth in more detail, while simultaneously emphasizing the Trinity and the love that God has for the readers. This macro-to-micro approach is effective and is also a great way for parents and caregivers to emphasize the dignity and special nature of each of the child/children whom they love.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher, B&H Publishing, for this DRC in exchange for a fair and honest review. The thoughts and opinions expressed here are my own.

This book is beautifully illustrated! Each page is visually stunning and full of vibrant detail. I especially loved how it opens with two Bible verses alongside an image of animals singing God's praises. It’s a powerful and joyful way to begin, and it ties in beautifully with the verses.
One thing to note is that some of the vocabulary may be a bit advanced for younger readers (words like uttermost, heavenly host, and Orion’s belt).
What stood out to me most was the clear and intentional inclusion of the Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, all represented throughout the book in a way that feels both reverent and accessible. I also appreciated the faithful presentation of the gospel: Jesus is portrayed as the one who takes away sin, hears our cries, guards our souls, shows mercy, and sends the Spirit to help us.
Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to read an early copy of this book!

I thought this was a beautifully well done book. The illustrations are so beautiful.. I think it is a perfect book for kids who you want to raise to believe in God. It has many good lessons and it teaches you to give thanks. It was also very easy to read and can probably be read to even very little age groups. I personally really enjoyed it as an adult as well. I have no doubt that many adults will enjoy reading this to their children.
