Another excellent read from this author.
It drew me in immediately with the story of the victim and I was hooked from then on, so had to finish.
Highly recommended.

DS Liam is called out as a volunteer with the lifeboat crew to retrieve a body. He has PTSD from his time in the military where a diving mission went terribly wrong, but the men with the lifeboat crew have been very helpful. The police believe that this death and an earlier one are connected to some drug dealers "cuckooing," or taking over the house of a reclusive person. There are some brutal murders by the drug dealers who have brought fentanyl to Cornwall, and Liam is concerned that they will exact revenge by harming someone close to him. A shocking revelation causes Liam to look closer to home for the villains. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.

DS Liam Kilshaw is an ex-Marine who's suffering from PTSD. And his latest case pushes him to his limits.
He just stared dating Millie, when a body is found and Liam gets assigned to this case not knowing what's awaiting him.
A complicated, complex story with lots of characters. A storyline that took me a minute to get into it.
But nothing is as it seems, a story as twisty as they come, suspenseful, a thriller of its finest. Can't wait to read more from this author.
