The book is full of "Dad" jokes. Some are more cheesy than others. With a joke a page, there aren't many words in the book. Pages also include "facts"; some are quite interesting.

This was a funny book. I had to skim too, some jokes were funny but some fell flat. I liked that it had information too for kids. But i also felt like there was too much happening.

I received an electronic ARC from Cider Mill Press through NetGalley.
The artwork is hilarious to study but the jokes fall flat even for dad jokes. I gave this three stars for the illustrations and the factoids included on most pages. Middle school readers may have a very different take and love the humor.

I'm always looking for ways to engage my reluctant readers and this book sounded like just what I needed. I was expecting this to read like a graphic novel, with a storyline, main characters, etc. Unfortunately, this book is 100 pages of one page comic-themed dad jokes. It had no flow, it was built like a compilation of Sunday newspaper comics bound into a book. Although fun for some kids to read, it does not serve my purpose as an educator.

Jokes with bold graphics on every page to engage young humorists. The little factoids on many of the pages make this more than just a collection of jokes, readers can gain a little "did you know?" information to share too.

Captain LOL and Rubber Chicken by Craig Yo is a Mad Magazine–style comic packed with dad jokes—lots and lots of dad jokes. The real fun comes from spotting the extra jokes hidden throughout the illustrated pages. If you love dad jokes (and who doesn’t?), this is the book for you.

A reluctant reader graphic novel for children with dad jokes and mild factoids. The artwork is a bit zany and cartoonish. What you see on the cover is the style of the artwork throughout. I noticed some of the reviewers have said this book is not what they expected, but I'm not sure why. It says "Dad Joke Book" right on the cover and that's exactly what you get.

I wasn't expecting what's the content of this comic. I thought it would be adventure story with underground comics style artwork. But it was a collection of dad jokes. A few pages in, and that's enough for me. This graphic novel is not for me. I do believe others will like this one, but not for me.

It helps to know this is a joke book not so much a story/chapter comic book. I think this would definitely be checked out in elementary libraries and kids would laugh and laugh at the jokes. It is silly and humorous. It is written in comic book style with lots of colorful pictures. I think some libraries would benefit from this additional purchase.

My kids had fun reading this book and some of the jokes were hilarious. However, I had a hard time reading some of the font and it was hard to know where the punchline was at times. I think kids around 6-7 would enjoy this book!

This wasn't what I thought it would be - along the same lines as Capitan Underpants and Dogman. Instead, it is a comic book about a super hero who tells Dad jokes. It is cute and funny, but not what I expected.

Thanks so much to NetGalley for the free Kindle book. My review is voluntarily given, and my opinions are my own.

This was a bit hard to score, and I'm still not sure if I picked the right number. The illustrations were great, but even for dad jokes, they were bad. Not all of them, but so many of them. I do like that there are songs and die cuts included.
