This was fun! I love that Avery isn't even shy about everything that she is and is completely 100% herself and Henry gets it and her entirely. And I absolutely love the stranded on an island portion because it was so unique and really added a lot of depth to the characters!

I enjoy romance books but this one wasn’t for me. After everyone else bails on an insane and expensive sounding trip, Avery and Henry are thrust into a stressful situation. I found the two main characters to be very unlikable. Things felt very repetitive (how many times can her brain short circuit?) and the plot didn’t have a lot of tension for me. A lot of telling and not showing. I wished I liked this more, but it let me down.

Leave Before I Love You by Max Monroe gave me everything i love in a romance!
Avery (our spoiled Miami party girl) and Henry (the adrenaline junkie bestie of her brother) finally get stuck in the ultimate forced proximity… and ohhh the things that happen will leave you wanting to get stranded on yoir own island! 🥵🤭
What starts as a fling turns into something Avery swore she’d never let happen…feelings. But remember her one rule: leave before she loves him.
The chemistry was scorching 🔥. I laughed till i cried and Henry had me swooning the whole way through. Max Monroe has delivered another 5⭐️ romance and I’m OBSESSED. 💖

This book was amazing!! I loved it from start to finish. It was different that they connected on the deserted island. It was refreshing to read a new and different meet cute. I loved Avery and junes relationship. June is a little crazy but still love able. Avery and Henry were the perfect love story! This book was funny and full of surprises. I loved it! I can’t wait for the next Max Monroe book! Thank you for the ARC!

You just can not go wrong with a Max Monroe FMC. Nope, I won't hear it! They write the best, the funniest and most heartwarming characters, and I, for one, absolutely, 10/10 approve of the ADHD style wild rushed accidentally outer monologued conversations they have. 🫠 Please excuse that awful attempt at good grammar, I had a moment, and the words fell out too fast.
I have been a huge fan of this duo for a while, I just love the lighthearted chaotic characters they give us, if i was to ever find a character with my name (because no, Naomi isn't Niomi and it's just not the same!) I would hope it would be them that created her. Make her an absolutely socially awkward mess, too 🤗. I'm guessing by now, you know i adore the authors, so let's get to the details of this specific book, shall we?
This book follows the absolutely spoilt rotten party girl Avery Banks, who has an absolutely diabolical awakening to the hardships of life when the small plane her and her friends hired to take them to a private island vacay goes down after the sudden death of the pilot. When all the friends but 1 let them down last minute, Avery is left to survive with none other than her brothers best friend Henry, 😏 Oh noooo!!
Well, on the bright side, Henry is a man's man, he can make fires and spear fish and keep both of them in high spirits enough to survive until they can be found. With all this time alone, their long-held back attraction becomes undeniable, but can this new relationship endure not just the island but being brought back into reality as they are reunited with their family.
I would recommend any Max Monroe book! So just don't think, add this to the collection. If you don't have one, start one. You will feel all the feels, laugh all the laughs, and just downright adore every page.
***Thank you to netgalley and Max Monroe for this ARC. Your books are always a go-to when I'm having a particular rough time, and they never fail to bring me a moments joy, so really, thank you! 🫶🏼 The above review is my honest opinion and has not been influenced in any way.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc.
I was hoping we would get an Avery book after reading ‘Meet Me At Midnight’, I just wasn’t expecting it to be an Avery and Henry book! It definitely had a twist I wasn’t expecting but thought their story, especially the past, was very cute!

An adrenaline seeker takes the ride of his life and finds love. Avery and Henry are just so much more than I expected. I truly enjoyed their adventure on the road to love. Henry is a dream! He's so protective, caring, and supportive. He is definitely the man for Avery. I'm not sure anyone else could keep up with her and see through all her layers. They have loving family and friends that are understanding and at times over the top caring.
My heart is full! I loved these two in Meet Me at Midnight. I am soooo happy they got their own story and a HEA.

Avery Banks is rich and likes pretty things so when her brother and her best friend Juniper (now her sister in law) and some friends, including her brothers best friend Henry, decided to go on vacation she loves the idea until things go wrong. By the time the plane leaves only Avery and hot Henry are left. She's always had a thing for him so it's not a chore to be by herself with him. Midway through the trip the pilot loses consciousness and the plane goes down and after parachuting out Avery and Henry are stranded on an island. Living two weeks with Henry isn't bad and finally things progress from friendly to very very friendly! Fast forward they are found and the relationship progresses effortlessly and passionately.
At first I wasn't sure what to expect about the story but once I got into it the plot made more sense. I enjoyed the fact we weren't on the island too long so that we could see the passion develop and continue once rescued. I love how Henry and Avery play off each other, his calmness to her high maintenance and it works! I thought I'd really not like her character but she grew on me. A little surprise towards the end and I usually hate this trope but it made sense in context to the story. Would always recommend Max Monroe books! Great romance!
Thanks to NetGalley and Max Monroe for allowing me to review this ARC!

I say this with love-it’s almost annoying how Max Monroe never misses! Every new release adds to my TBR because I have to read them all. Leave Before I Love You is yet another must-read addition to their catalog.
Avery and Henry (her brother’s best friend) find themselves stranded together when everyone else backs out of a group New Year’s trip. Panic strikes during their private plane ride(cue flashbacks to the childhood classic Hatchet) and survival mode takes over. Romance seems impossible when you’re just trying to make it through, but when it’s meant to be, there’s no resisting it. As they face challenges together, Avery and Henry uncover hidden truths and realize the most important one: they can’t imagine life without each other.
This is a fast, sweet read that reminds us people aren’t always who they seem (sometimes they’re even better)!

Another amazing rom - com by max Monroe. The plot was insane, and the tension between Avery and Henry was everything. I loved how we got to see them not only work together but grow together throughout the book. I was dying from laughter throughout but I also was crying from the intensity of their relationship.

Ugh! What a perfect second book to the Midnight series!!! I loved the first book so much!! This I had no idea how it was gonna start!! I did not expect what brought them together!! This was such a cute book and I loved every minute of it!!! Thank you so much for the ARC copy!!!

Leave Before I Love You, the follow up book to Meet Me at Midnight brings us the story of Avery and Henry, a couple that has sparked fireworks, every time they're in the same vicinity. Avery, Beau's little sister and Junie's best friend, has always been a woman who didn't have to worry about where her next meal would come from. Being the daughter of a very wealthy family, she can choose to work or be the life of the party, which is exactly what she is. Henry, Beau's best friend and someone who has been around since they were kids, has always felt that tug towards Avery, but never acted upon it.
Henry and Avery were the last two members of their group of friends who had planned to skydive to an island for a quick weekend getaway and instead of bailing, they decide to go anyways. Up in the air, on the way to their jump location, the plane starts down in a tailspin, leaving Avery and Henry to jump for their lives. Thankfully, they were able to get to a remote island...but for what? No one knows where they are. Their phones don't work. Will they ever be found? Will the sparks they have felt be too much to keep smothered? I absolutely loved this book! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Max Monroe never fails to deliver a romance that is equal parts hilarious, swoony, and heart-tugging—and Leave Before I Love You is no exception. From the very first page, I was hooked by the witty banter, the irresistible chemistry, and the blend of humor with just the right amount of angst.
The story strikes that perfect balance between laugh-out-loud moments and emotional depth. The characters felt authentic and layered, with vulnerabilities that made their journey toward love all the more satisfying. Their push-and-pull dynamic kept me invested, and I found myself rooting for them the entire way.
One of my favorite parts about Max Monroe’s writing is the sharp, clever dialogue, and this book delivered in spades. The banter was playful yet heartfelt, adding both levity and intimacy to the romance.

Having consumed the first book of this friend group (Meet Me At Midnight) already, I was excited to continue this storyline. It was easy to drop back into these character's world, and I happily settled in for Avery and Henry's HEA. I wasn't a huge fan of Avery from her previous attitude and actions (in MMAM), so I began this one cautiously. Honestly, I shouldn't have worried, because this author duo always delivers engaging and addictive reads that I can't stop reading!!
Now - the word that kept rolling around in my head when I was reading? PERSPECTIVE.
This is absolutely what changed my attitude towards Avery. Honestly, her outlook on life was rightfully earned, as her parents fed into the materialistic and vapid personality she adopted.
How a sweet woman like Juni was (and still is) her best friend is kinda a mystery! :) I appreciated the shift in Avery, and while it wasn't a full 180, it was an awakening that was necessary and fun to watch happen to her.
Through no fault of their own, both Henry and Avery got up-close and personal with that word, and truly understood what was important to them pretty quickly into the chapters. The pages turned themselves as I followed this couple as they met challenge after challenge, tightening their attraction to each other and profoundly changing their perspectives on what is truly important - forever.
Overall, this kept me engaged and entertained from beginning to end, and while there are a few things I would have liked to see happen that didn't, it was a steamy, interesting page turner that I recommend. Reading in order is best for friend group dynamics and storyline continuity, IMO.
Once done here, revisit this author's catalog for more entertaining reads.
Fortunate to have received an ARC (thank you) I happily leave my review.

Max Monroe books are always an automatic read for me because I absolutely adore them! Leave Before I Love You was another winner from them! Going into the book, I didn’t know much about what to expect except for that it was with Avery and Henry who we were already familiar with from Meet Me at Midnight and that the trope was best friend’s brother. I won’t give anything away, but the beginning of the book was a total surprise for me – not the way most romance books start. It hooked me in, and I couldn’t put the book down. Character development was great, and we definitely see Avery in a different light from the party girl we think she is from the first book in the Midnight Series. Henry is swoon worthy and everything we want a book boyfriend to be. This book is also full of humor and the inclusion of Beau and Juni throughout is a great callback to the first book in the series and demonstrates how connected both couples are with each other. This is a must read and you won’t be disappointed!

Okay so, I love almost every Max Monroe I’ve read but this one? This one may be my favourite, and that’s saying a lot because I’m semi-in-love with Thatch.
I started off thinking I wouldn’t like it. Prissy MFCs aren’t usually my thing so when they introduced Avery as this over-the-top spoiled brat I thought I was about to be tortured. And then the plane goes down and she stuck on that island with the very loveable Henry. And wouldn’t you know, Avery grew on me.
This was a new type of MFC that I wasn’t used to but ended up loving all the same. The love and emotions in this book feel very real. I’ve been in some of the situations these two go through (not the island part) and the way they take you through it with them is very real. I loved it.
Oh.. and also the smut is hot and sexy and romantic without being too mushy. Loved this book.
Thank you NetGalley and Max Monroe for this very fun romantic read.

This book is set in the world of Meet Me at Midnight. It isn’t necessary to read the book but you will see the same characters, so I highly recommend reading it first.
This book will change the way you feel about Avery or it did me. She is a self centered, entitled, and fashionable woman. Henry is a lovable friend of her brother.
They go on a trip together where they are going to skydive onto the island. They wind up stranded on an island. They have no way to contact anyone to let them know where they are. As the days keep passing the two have grown closer. Will they be rescued? What happens when they get home?
I felt like this book was a little predictable but I also like that in my romance. Max & Monroe hit it out of the park with this one! They are some of my favorite romance authors.
Thank you Max Monroe & NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Leave Before I Love You by Max Monroe is a friends-to-lovers, adventure filled romance follow-up novel to Meet Me at Midnight. While this is a standalone novel, I think having read MMAM just made me love this book more! Avery Banks enjoys a cushy and pampered life. Henry Callahan is her brother’s best friend, an adrenaline lover who has been a part of Avery’s life for years. The authors did a fantastic job of developing these characters and their personalities. On the surface, these characters could come off as spoiled, shallow, and without depth, however there is so much more to Henry and Avery! The book mainly takes place in the present day, however there are a few chapters that go back years to give more background and depth to the story and relationship. I absolutely devoured this book and could not put it down, I fully plan to read more from the authors backlist.
Thank you to NetGalley, Max Monroe LLC, and the author for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

An adventure of the heart that embeds itself within your soul. From smart and sassy to witty and ironic, Avery and Henry are temptation at it's most frustrating. Monroe pushes the senses beyond their comfort zone to get to the emotion hiding underneath.

Oh my! When I started this book, there was no way I would have ever guessed the circumstances that would pull Avery and Henry together. The chemistry between them is smoking hot. I couldn't read their story fast enough. Come along for the ride with Henry and Avery in what will be an adventure you won't soon forget.
