This had no business being as cute as it was!!! I love Nora and Cade 😍 Im not sure what it says about me, but this is my favorite Lana Ferguson yet.

Novellas almost always feel too short and slightly disappointing but I didnt feel that at all here. I would absolutely read more about this couple but didnt need more for it to be perfect.

This is the perfect quick audiobook for on the go. I loved both of the narrators. I think their voices fit the characters perfectly. This follows our shy mmc who has been crushing on his barista. Little does he know she’s been crushing on him to. When their friends force them together sparks fly.

Short and sweet! Ferguson steps back from her full-length spicy novels and offers up a perfectly bite-sized novella that does exactly what it says on the tin. The MCs met a year ago when the FMC drunkenly planted a kiss on him (he gently brought her back to her friends) and now she's been his barista for months. They've been crushing on each other the whole time, but the MMC is painfully shy and the FMC doesn't remember that he's the man she kissed. The whole thing takes place over one day, full of carnival fun, awkward miscommunication, and a spicy scene near the end that somehow doesn't feel rushed. A cute little epilogue sends the couple off for an HEA. Fans of Ali Hazelwood's Two Can Play.

Cade and Nora meet a year ago after sharing a kiss. Cade can't stop thinking about Nora but is too shy to even talk to her. Nora has a thing for Cade but he is so awarkward that she has trouble with starting conversation with him and she doesn't remembers who she actually kissed. Whe Cade and Nora's best freidns set them up, Cade thinks he is interviewing Nora as a roommate and Nora thinks they are on a date. When they both figure out that they were set up they soon relax and enjoy the date. This was cute, funny and steammy rom-com. I would like to thank both NetGalley and Spotify Audiobooks for let me listen to an advanced copy fo this audiobook.

4/5⭐️ 2/5🌶️ 0/5😢

This audiobook novella Room for Two has it all: funny, sweet, adorably corny, and just enough spice to satisfy! Basically everything I love about a Lana Ferguson book in a bite-sized 3-hour audiobook 🩷

It is dual narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Summers, and boy do they deliver!

themes & tropes:
- FL coastal setting 🌴
- grumpy x sunshine ☀️
- awkward accountant MMC 🤓
- barista/student nurse FMC ☕️
- meddling friends 😈
- second chance(ish)🤞🏻

Thank you to NetGalley and Spotify Audiobooks for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to Lana Ferguson, NetGalley and Spotify Audiobooks for the ALC.

Cade Monroe is not exactly a people person. He's shy, awkward and probably the only person living in Florida who hates the beach. When he's dragged to a beach party by his roommate, he meets this beautiful girl, who, out of nowhere, kisses him. She's tipsy, so he does the gentleman thing and sends her off with her friend. But he never forgot her. A year later, he's still pining for her. That's why he goes to the coffee shop where she works daily, hoping she will remember that kiss.

Nora Whitfield has a major crush on the hot, kinda grumpy guy who comes to the coffee shop all the time. She was hurt in the past and is not looking for involvement, but she just crushes on him. Bad.

But two unexpected cupids send them on a date/interview that will change their lives forever.

Narrated dual style by Samantha Summers and Teddy Hamilton, this novella is a delight. Samantha's melodious and soothing voice is perfect for Nora and Teddy can play the shy, awkward guy like no other> wonderful narration!

Novellas are fun, especially when the give you full-fledged characters in such a short amount of time. This one is hits all the marks.

Content notes: mentions of parental neglect, alcoholism, cheating (not MCs), thalassophobia

This was an absolute blast! A sweet and spicy novella from Lana? Yes, please. I devoured it in under three hours and I’m fully obsessed. Our two main characters were definitely a little oblivious but in the most endearing way. Normally that might bug me, but Lana’s writing is just so addictive and charming, I didn’t mind one bit. I had so much fun with this!
And let’s be honest, if Teddy Hamilton is narrating, I’m already halfway in love with the book.

Teddy Hamilton is one of my favourite narrators, so I had to pick this up! Samantha Summers was new to me, and immediately added to narrator favourites—lovely performance from them both.

This is a novella, so it’s short, sweet, and cosy. Low stakes and a lovely read. Pick this up when you want a sweet hug of a romance between two beautiful idiots (complimentary!).

Lana’s books are always so easy to fall into. I thought it was a cute setup and hope we can get even more short-form stories from her.

Lana Ferguson has with Room for Two delivered a sun-soaked, slow-burn love story that’s as swoon-worthy as it is addictively fun to listen to.
Set against a summery Florida backdrop, this story follows Cade Monroe — a grumpy, beach-hating barista with a soft side — and Nora Whitfield, the guarded but magnetic woman who may or may not remember their shared kiss from a year ago. When a twist of fate throws them into a roommate situation, what unfolds is a charmingly awkward, emotionally rich journey full of missed signals, tender moments, and just the right dash of spice.
The audiobook format absolutely elevates the story. The dual narration brings both Cade and Nora to life with vivid emotional nuance and a dynamic back-and-forth that keeps the pacing lively. It’s the kind of audiobook that grabs your attention early and doesn’t let go — perfect for listeners who sometimes struggle to stay engaged. This one hooks you from the start and holds your heart hostage until the last chapter.
Ferguson’s writing balances witty banter, heartfelt vulnerability, and simmering tension with ease. While the romance is front and center, the story doesn’t shy away from deeper emotional layers, especially around themes of heartbreak, communication, and second chances.
Whether you're lying on a beach or stuck in traffic, Room for Two is the perfect feelgood listen to bring a little warmth and whimsy to your day. Just a warning — maybe keep your headphones in for the steamy scenes.

Verdict: A flirty, feelgood summer listen with undeniable heart and heat. A must-add to your seasonal audiobook tbr!

Thank you to Spotify Audio & Lana Ferguson for the advanced listener copy!

What an absolutely adorable novella from Lana Ferguson! Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Summers did a great job bringing Cade and Nora to life, luring me in right from the start.

I’m a total sucker for books that center on a misinterpreted situation. I loved to watch Cade bumble his way through what he thought was an interview for a new roommate, while Nora thought she was on a blind date. We love to see fate (aka their friends) intervene, forcing the two to finally make a move.

This was a short and sweet romance audio with the usual Lana spice and banter to round it all out! You’ll never catch me skipping a book written by Lana Ferguson! 😍

This was a cute and spicy audiobook snack from fav author, Lana Ferguson that sees Cade, a geeky older MMC falling hard for Nora, a barista/nursing school student. After sharing a magical night and kiss in which Nora has no memory, Cade silently pines for Nora until their friends set them up and they find themselves reliving their first boardwalk experience together. I thought this moved a little fast, even though it was a novella, it left me wanting more and didn't have enough depth for me. The audio narrators did a great job though and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Ali Hazelwood's STEMinist novellas. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review.

I was so happy when I got approved for this novella from Lana Ferguson. I didn't think I would be able to listen to it, but thanks for NetGalley I had the chance. I really enjoyed the book. It was a quick listen, but such a lovely story. She writes a good romance and this one packed it all in for a short book.

This was a very well paced novella. Very cute, some miscommunication but over all a sweet time.

But I will say as a huge Lana fan, I’d never have know it was her based off her other writing. If you put a different name on it I’d have never know…..
