I love a novella that has some depth and character and relationship development. I loved how awkward and shy Cade is. You don’t normally see the MMC being the shy one so that was refreshing. Also I enjoyed it so much I wish their story was a full novel because I want to read more.

Thank You to NetGalley for sharing this ALC in return for my honest review.

I did not want this book to end! Ummm @lanafergusonwrites WHY is this only a novella?! I need MORE! More of Cade. More of Nora. Just…more. Room For Two is precious, heartfelt, and oh so steamy. 🥵

The chemistry between Cade and Nora was palpable. The dual narrators did an utterly perfect job of harnessing the essence of these two. Gahhh I just loved it. 🥰

Thank you to Netgalley, Spotify, and TLC Book Tours for the gifted audiobook.

This was such a cute and quick listen…perfect as a palate cleanser! The story is light and heartwarming, making it an easy, enjoyable escape. Cade and Nora are complete opposites, but their chemistry is undeniable; they’re absolutely adorable together. Samantha Summers and Teddy Hamilton were perfectly cast, bringing the characters to life with energy and charm that matched them beautifully.

I’m usually not a novella girl but I took a chance on this once since I typically really like Lana’s writing style.

Here are some reasons this one really worked for me:
- It didn’t try to cover too much time in a short amount of pages: it was mostly just their first date with a few flashbacks.
- They didn’t build chemistry out of no where. Both of these characters know each other and are crushing on each other separately.
- While a short audiobook, they did build up to a little fun at the end.
- The narrators were great!

While of course I wished we got more of these two I really enjoyed it! If you need a short audiobook or want to squeeze one more in for a bingo or at the end of a month this is a great option!

It’s available now on Spotify!

Thank you @netgalley and @spotify for letting me listen to this one early!

Shy, awkward Cade Monroe must be the only man in Florida who hates the beach. But when the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen kisses him unexpectedly one summer night, he might be forced to change his mind. A year later, and he’s still pining after her. The only catch? She doesn’t seem to remember the kiss. In fact, Cade isn’t sure she even knows he exists.

Nora Whitfield has definitely noticed Cade, the dark-haired, hot-in-a-scowly-way guy who gets coffee from her every morning. But with a past full of heartbreak, Nora isn’t looking to get involved—especially not with a man who barely speaks except to order.

When Cade finds himself desperately needing a new roommate, fate intervenes, thrusting them together. As secrets surface and sparks fly, Cade and Nora must decide if they're ready to risk their hearts for a second chance at a first kiss.

I loved the romantic suspense, the silly coments, and the vibes all together. Favorite quote "Not everyone can be a cat daddy. " the timing and pace of this book were absolutely perfect.

Room For Two by Lana Ferguson is an adorable sunshine romance novella where these two opposites attract interact regularly at the coffee shop as they mutually pine away for each other. Thanks to meddling friends, roommate situation, a forgotten kiss & the magic of the beach & overcoming past hurts, these two find a sweet, swift & steamy summer love that’s perfect for these two.

This is my fifth Lana Ferguson book & I have enjoyed them all. They are an array of sub-genres of the romance genre but all deliver the same trademark love stories with banter, heat & just wonderful love stories

Room For Two Is great for those looking to read…
💜 Summer Vibes Romance
💜 Audiobook Novella
💜 Forgotten Kiss
💜 Mutual Pining
💜 Shy Hero x Bold Heroine
💜 Opposites Attract
💜 Hurt Comfort
💜 Beach Date

I listened to the audiobook for this & both of the narrators were just fantastic. They brought the story to life. I listened at 2x & it was perfect speed for my brain.

If you haven’t experienced the magic of a Lana Ferguson book, I highly recommend Room For Two & any of their incredible work.

Massive thanks to NetGalley, Spotify Audiobooks & TLC Book Tours for the gifted copy, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.

🌟Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
🎧Audiobook Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
💧Drip-o-Meter: 💦💦
🎙️Audiobook Performance: Samantha Summers has the perfect carefree, beachy voice for Nora. Super sweet, at times a bit snarky and spicy, but always pleasing to the ears. Teddy Hamilton, while a fan favorite, is not *my* favorite (don’t come after me!!). This audiobook was a bit easier for me to take, even with his nasally voice, probably because it was a novella and Samantha is so easy to listen to. (Again, sorry 😬)
💗Something I Loved: The mutual pining in this novella was really cute. That’s not typically a trope that I get twitterpated over, but it really worked for Nora and Cade - and the way she loved his awkward shyness and blushing was the cherry on top 🍒
🌶️Spiciest Scene: Again, as a novella, there wasn’t a ton of spice, but when they finally get down to it, they **get down to it** (and on his roommates bed, no less 😮). Lana knows how to write a spicy scene 😏
📚Standalone vs. Series: Standalone
📖Would I Recommend: Yes! Especially if you’re a fan of novellas, you will love this one. As always, I wanted more time with the characters and storyline, but this one did pull me in immediately and I listened to it in one sitting! I’ll read ANYTHING by Lana!
💬Tropes: Summer Vibes, Mutual Pining, Beach Date, Novella, Bold FMC/Shy MMC

HAPPY PUB DAY!!

Initial thoughts:
This book is so sweet and wholesome and lovely, with just the perfect amount of spice.

The story:
We follow Cade and Nora who had a random meet cute once upon a time, except, Nora doesn't remember it. It was after a really bad day she drowned in alcohol, but a whisper of a memory lingers. Cade remembers it all and develops a massive crush. Their two best friends end up setting them up on a roommate interview/blind date/mixup situation which is slightly awkward but ends up being super cute!! As with all novellas, there's only so much backstory and setup the story can give before heading into the romance, but I felt like there was just enough to have me rooting for these characters.

Things I loved:
- Cade was so awk and cute, but also so himself. I loved that he owned that about himself.
- Cade was DOWN BAD and I think I am realizing this is a new favorite trope. I love a man who pines.
- I enjoyed Nora pushing Cade out of his comfort zone and him being willing to try. I felt like they were a good match for each other!
- The narrators were great!

Room for improvement:
- I felt like there could have been a few more edits towards the end of the story. There were some scenes towards the end that had a lot of repetition and repeated descriptions.

About the audio:
The narrators nailed it!

Room for Two | Lana Ferguson
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

TW: The pure cuteness of this book will cause extreme giddiness. Proceed with caution if you do not want to be happy or smile.

Lana, my queen, the absolute gem of a human you are, thank you for yet another release that was absolute perfection.

Cade and Nora are probably the sweetest couple to ever hit my speakers. Cade is the most adorable, awkward, shy, cutie of a guy. Nora is a feisty, hardworking, bold girl (who forgets their first kiss). This book was the perfect audio-novella. 3 hours and 45 of gooey goodness with a splash of spice.

What I loved:
- iconic meet cute
- mutual pining
- meddling friends
- cute romance
- just enough spice

I swear, I want to live inside Lana’s mind sometimes.

This story was short, sweet, and my ONLY complaint is that it ever had to end.

Cade has to be one of the most shy, awkward MMC’s I’ve read to date and I. LOVE. HIM. He’s heartwarmingly adorable and genuine and it just made me want to give him a giant bear hug.

And Nora? She’s ALSO a sweetheart. She just knows what she wants and that she deserves better than what she’s had.

So I absolutely LOVE it when the best friends of these two pair up to set Nora and Cade up, because neither of them are courageous enough to do it themselves.

And oh my gosh, it’s everything I could have hoped for.
No.
Nope.
Not true.
It’s MORE.

And the narration? CHEF’S KISS. Well done Samantha Summers and Teddy Hamilton. Well done.

Pick this one up for:
- Novella
- Audio-only
- Forgotten first kiss
- Second chance romance
- Golden retriever MMC
- Matchmaking best friends
- Mutual pining

Lana Ferguson can write and Samantha Summers,
+ Teddy Hamilton can narrate! We enjoyed the opportunity to read this book! We wish we can say we could sale the audiobook, but as it is an Spotify Exclusive we will definitely recommend to people to check it out It was a cute story of two people with an epic first meeting but only one sided because Nora was so drunk she did not remember meeting Cade. And for a year they have the moments of seeing and meeting and unknown mutual pining for one another, until their best friends trick them into a date and the rest is history! HAPPILY EVER AFTER’

Thank you to Spotify Audiobooks and NetGalley for allowing me to recieve this ALC.

One thing about me is that I will run to listen to an audiobook narrated by Teddy Hamilton. I personally love all the books he narrates. Anyway, I think the narrators' voices fit perfectly to their assigned characters, and it flowed really well.

This is a short, cute read. I enjoyed this and listened to it while I was cleaning!

📚Sweet, shy, awkward, anxious Cade. I just want to wrap that big ol’ softy in a giant bear hug and give him a pep talk. I loved their blind date meet cute that went a bit sideways, and cringed and laughed in all the best ways through the whole thing. The pining he feels towards Norah totally lands in this fun sized novella. I thought their second first kiss was magical and loved the thoughtful spin on a second chance that tied the whole thing together.

🎧I really enjoyed this story and thought the audio really elevated it. Teddy and Samantha knocked it off the boardwalk, capturing all of the sweetness and the yearning. I thought Teddy brought out Cades nervousness perfectly and Samantha was fun with her Norah. I really enjoyed this audio; a perfect quick end of summer listen!

The words “narrated by Teddy Hamilton” wake a sleep agent in me.

This was a cute, fun, and fast read! Cade and Nora are a cute couple, and I loved how their friends conspired to get them together. It was funny and sweet, and I had a good time listening to it.

Samantha Summers and Teddy Hamilton knocked this out of the park!

This was an absolutely wonderful audiobook. I have enjoyed all of Lana Ferguson’s books so when I saw this was coming I knew I had to request it. It was funny, sexy, and oh so sweet. Nora and Cade were two engaging protagonists and I loved how they balanced each other out. From the confusion about the purpose of their meeting to the hot conclusion, this book kept me on my toes the entire time.
