I’m not sure if I wanted this novella to be even shorter, or if I wanted it to be a full length novel, but it was hard for me to connect with these two characters in just one day. That being said, the author did a great job of building up their history, I guess I would have liked to see it. Maybe a then and now kind of thing. This was still a fun read.
Thanks for the ARC from Spotify Audio

Awwww Lana ❤️
This is short, sweet, and cute af. An absolute perfect little sweet and spicy (I mean it’s Lana Ferguson be real) bite.
Great narrators and very very easy to sit through in one go. If you’re looking for a quick romantic palette cleanser this is it!

Lana Ferguson truly does it like no other. She's one of my favorite authors and for GOOD reason— Her books are fun, all the right amounts of sweet & spicy, swoonworthy romantic, and so fast=paced. I'm not a huge fan of audiobooks, but of course, I had to pick this up and I just dove straight in. The storyline was a little cliche, but Ferguson always puts her own twists on things, and it genuinely felt like I was watching (or listening) to a movie unfold. I loved the descriptive writing, the incredibly talented narrators, and the romance itself? I was kicking my feet, giggling, and blushing all the way through. Loved it!

This was a cute little meet cute/first date short read. I’m really impressed how much background & detail that was put into this without feeling forced. I connected more with these MCs than I have in full length romance novels.
I loved these two MCs. They were awkward and sweet. I could feel the connection and pining between.
This was a great dual narration audiobook! I would definitely recommend this for a short and sweet read!

This was such a sweet and funny little novella, and it’s probably the first time ever that I actually enjoyed the miscommunication trope in a book. The conversation and misunderstanding about why they both were at the pier was so hilarious and made me love the characters so much more. The perfect novella to end summer!

Room for Two by Lana Ferguson might be a novella, but it packs an emotional punch that most full-length novels only wish they could deliver.
After a forgotten first kiss, Nora and Cade spend months quietly pining for each other until their meddling friends decide to intervene. Cade thinks he’s interviewing a new roommate. Nora thinks she’s going on a date. Cue the awkwardness, the tension, and the absolutely adorable chaos.
Despite its length, this book delivers a full character arc: Cade working through his shy, awkward self (hello, soft boy excellence), and Nora slowly learning to open her heart again after grief. Their chemistry is tender, their banter hits just right, and every moment feels like a hug to the soul.
I need a full-length novel on these two immediately. This book gave me everything, except enough pages. I love Nora. I love Cade. I love this.
Thank you Spotify Audio and Lana Ferguson for the ALC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

finished this book in basically one sitting.
It's on a the shorter side, nothing too extravagant or new but a cute story where the girl kisses the guy drunk at a bonfire then promptly forgets about it. If youre into "they're both pining for each other in secret" or "she thinks they're on a date but he doesn't know" then this book is for you.
I enjoyed it, it didn't fall flat exactly but it didn't "wow" me. It was short, sweet and a little depth. The perfect book for an evening after work where you want to relax and take it easy.

Thank you to Spotify Audiobooks for an early listening copy.
On a celebratory summer night, Cade is begrudgingly taking part in beach side activities, when he meets a drunk women and they share a kiss. Cade is thrown off kilter when he discover the same women now works for his favorite coffee shop and has no recollection of the kiss. Fast forward one year later, Cade and Nora are set up on a blind date by their two best friends, where one of them thinks its a date and the other thinks it's a meeting for a potential roommate. This is Lana Ferguson's first novella/audiobook exclusive, and her writing style really fits both. The pacing and romantic development for Cade and Nora is really well done, and only complimented by Samantha Summers and Teddy Hamilton's great narration.

Room for Two was such a fun and quick listen! It follows shy and socially awkward Cade, who’s been secretly pining for barista-slash-nursing-student Nora ever since she drunkenly kissed him one summer night—a moment she doesn’t even remember. Meanwhile, Nora, still reeling from a broken engagement, has had a quiet crush on Cade but keeps her distance. With both of them secretly longing for each other, their friends Emily and Jasper step in and set them up on a date—though Cade mistakenly thinks he’s interviewing Nora to be his new roommate.
Cade and Nora’s chemistry on their date was absolutely adorable. Teddy Hamilton was the perfect voice for Cade, effortlessly capturing his awkward charm, while Samantha Summers brought out Nora’s sweetness and warmth. If you love Lana Ferguson’s writing, you’ll definitely eat up this novella! I actually appreciated that it wasn’t as spicy as her full-length novels—this story had just the right amount of heat for a pair clearly testing the waters of their long-held feelings. It gave off that sweet, endearing first-date vibe, and I loved every bit of it.

Shy, awkward Cade Monroe must be the only man in Florida who hates the beach. But when the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen kisses him unexpectedly one summer night, he might be forced to change his mind. A year later, and he’s still pining after her. The only catch? She doesn’t seem to remember the kiss. In fact, Cade isn’t sure she even knows he exists.
Nora Whitfield has definitely noticed Cade, the dark-haired, hot-in-a-scowly-way guy who gets coffee from her every morning. But with a past full of heartbreak, Nora isn’t looking to get involved—especially not with a man who barely speaks except to order.
When Cade finds himself desperately needing a new roommate, fate intervenes, thrusting them together. As secrets surface and sparks fly, Cade and Nora must decide if they're ready to risk their hearts for a second chance at a first kiss.
My Thoughts:
This was cute, sweet, and SO much fun! I listened while gardening and it was the absolute perfect lil romance to get lost in. It’s short (hello that’s what a novella is 🤣) but it still felt like a full, totally fleshed out story to me. Ferguson did such a great job packing this one with humor, heart, and heat! Given the chance I would absolutely read more to their story but this was fully satisfying as is.
What I loved;
💜 Grumpy x Sunshine
💜 Quirky Characters
💜 LOL Banter
💜 Forgotten Kiss
💜 Meddling Friends
💜 Steamy Romance
Samantha Summers and Teddy Hamilton’s dual narration was absolutely outstanding (as always). I love these two and they were so perfectly paired to bring Nora and Cade’s story to life.
A huge thank you to Spotify Audiobooks and NetGalley for the ALC!

This Lana Ferguson audiobook was SO much fun! Honestly it was too short because I could have read an entire book about Cade and Nora. They were both so cute and sweet and really endearing characters. It was just a good time, I listened to the whole thing in one sitting. I’m a huge fan of anything Teddy Hamilton narrates.
What you’ll get:
-Quirky characters with backstories
-Dual narration
-Cat named Sprinkles
-Great side characters
-Funny with great banter
-Well waited for spice
-Charming epilogue
-Left wanting more because it was enjoyable!
Thank you to Spotify Audiobooks and NetGalley for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

I adore Lana like no other. I'm by no means a contemporary fiction reader, but Lana just hits the right spot. This book was no exception. Room for Two was charming, sweet, and just what I needed to read in the midst of the chaos of the world at large. It was nice to spend a nice couple of hours with her fictional characters and their low-stakes problems. Highly recommend this one!

this audiobook was ADORABLE LANA the woman that you are this was DELIGHTFUL
rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

This was a sweet novella about a partially missed connection. Both of the characters were sweet but there was solid spice as well. I do feel like this was really good as a novella and I'm glad the author didn't try to stretch it out into a full book. The pacing was solid throughout. I do wish there was a little more chemistry coming off the page between the two characters and not just the casualness that came through most of the time.

This was such a sweet audiobook! Lana Ferguson never ceases to make me giggle and kick my feet. I normally listen to her full length novels so this was not a new format for me. I enjoyed both Samantha Summers and Teddy Hamilton's narration. I love Samantha's inflection and Teddy Hamilton was born to play a grumpy mmc!

Room for Two was a cute, bite-sized romance. This was a perfect quick listen for when your attention span is stuck at Youtube video length (I’m the problem, it’s me). Since this is a novella, the timeline of the story is sped up. However, I feel the author did a great job establishing the characters before diving into things. The narrators were great, and I’m a big fan of all things Teddy Hamilton.

3.5 stars. This was really cute. Nora and Cade have a fun meet cute, which Cade remembers and Nora vaguely remembers, and a year later they're crushing on each other. They go on a date and have fun, talk about difficult things, and have a very spicy night. Narrators were great. Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced audio copy.

Short and sweet, this is the perfect little pick-me-up story when you just want to smile & feel good 🥰

This was just the cutest story, and had me smiling the whole time 🥰
I absolutely adored both Nora and Cade, but I gotta say it was especially Cade that did it for me in this one 🥹
He was just the sweetest shy boy, scowling to hide his crush & fumbling his words when he got flustered 🥹
I loved the premise & how their best friends tricked them/set them up (Nora thinks it’s a blind date, and Cade thinks he’s interviewing a new roommate 🤭).
With novellas, chemistry can be tricky but their backstory & bit of history made it more believable!
🎧 audiobook thoughts:
Samantha Summers & Teddy Hamilton were the perfect fit for these two characters, capturing their energies & personalities well 🥰
For an audio-only production, I would loved to have heard this with a cast or at least in duet narration, but that’s just personal preference.
📖 Room for Two by Lana Ferguson
💜: contemporary romance
🎙 narrated by: Samantha Summer & Teddy Hamilton

Nora, sent into a drunken tailspin after discovering that her fiancé is a cheater, kisses a handsome man on the beach. That man, Cade, is still thinking about that kiss, a year later. The only problem? Nora doesn't seem to remember it. Cade is painfully shy, and Nora doesn't trust men. Their friends orchestrate a second chance for the pair. Can they work past their issues?
I enjoy Lana Ferguson typically. This audiobook is very short, and the characters read several years younger than they were supposed to be. I kept getting confused because they seemed no older than 22, but were supposed to be a bit older than that. I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if they had both been 18 years old.
The narration was excellent though.
Thank you to Net Galley and Spotify Audio Books for the ALC. All opinions are my own.

samantha summers and teddy hamilton were so flirty and fun in this novella!!
i love that teddy can do literally any personality type. he nailed cade’s shyness and awkwardness and I loved it so much and samantha summer’s voice is just so sweet.
highly recommend for a beach listen this summer!!
