This book was a wild ride from start to finish. The pacing is relentless, the tension never lets up, and the twists just kept coming. I didn’t trust a single character but that’s what made it so addictive. Emily Shiner leans hard into messy revenge, betrayal, and shocking reveals. Perfect for when you want a fast, juicy thriller you’ll tear through in one sitting. This is my first read by this author and she has left such an impression on me, I can't wait to read more of her stuff!!

Uninvited is a dark and twisty psychological thriller that pulls you straight into the heart of a family under siege. When an uninvited guest crosses the threshold, secrets unravel and trust shatters—fast. Sharp, suspenseful, and impossible to put down, it’s a must-read for fans of domestic noir.

✨ Uninvited by Emily Shiner ✨
What. A. Ride. 🚨 From page one, I was hooked. Aimee heads on vacation with her fiancé Dale to repair their relationship after his affair… but guess who shows up at the same resort? 👀 His mistress. Cue the drama, deception, and some delicious revenge.
If you love fast-paced psychological thrillers with dual POVs, dual timelines, and twist after twist, this one is right up your alley! 💥📖
Thank you Bookouture, Netgalley and Emily Shiner for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book was a total rollercoaster of a read. I literally gasped out loud at some parts. LOTS OF TWIST AND TURNS!

I can't recommend it enough! I really enjoyed this book, I couldn't put it down, I finished it in a couple of days!

Holy Smokes! I was not mentally prepared for this book. Imagine being on vacation with the man you are supposed to be marrying, and his mistress shows up. In this book, one of the characters will not make it home. What secrets has Dale been keeping from his fiancé' Aimee, and does she have dark little secrets of her own? Does Hannah the mistress really want Dale, or is it something far more sinister going on?
I could not put this one down, y'all! Perfect Summer read. I promise you won't regret it. I am still thinking about this one!!
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the eArc!

The writing of this was not very good in my opinion, and the story felt insanely far fetched and honestly just weird. Did not like at all

There are points of the story where I felt it was never going to end, story plots that seemed pointless, or could've used more conversation. Like the going out to the bars, then coming back was confusing, they seemed to end up back in the room magically.

Unfortunately, this Book was just a three-star -read for me. The story lost me a couple of times and I didn‘t enjoy the ending that much.

Sipping thoughts: Revenge is best served cold…and sneaky! Shiner always pulls me in and grips me until the end. What is better than getting revenge on your husband’s mistress? Well, there is more than meets the eye within this plot. I did not want it to end and can’t wait for her next release.
Cheers and thank you to @Netgalley and @Bookouture for an advanced copy of @Uninvited.

I love Emily Shiner’s books, and this one was exceptional! A double revenge book? Yes please!!! We learn early on why Aimee wants revenge, but we don’t know why Hannah wants revenge until about the middle of the book. So that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. Then we find out why Hannah wants revenge, and then we’re kept on the edge of our seat to know how it’s all going to play out!
This book is TWISTY! There are at least three twists that I did not see coming. Ms. Shiner writes the best twists. I don’t write spoilers, so I will not give anything away, but I bet you will not be able to figure out all three of them! Also.. the way that the book ends!!!! I feel like I need more!
This book was an addictive read – I couldn’t put it down! It’s out now so I highly suggest you get your hands on it. Don’t miss out!

Uninvited by Emily Shiner was a excellent psychological thriller,, it was so good I ended up reading it all afternoon whilst in my garden on the shade, it was an excellent read from start to finish, with a great storyline and lots of twists and turns throughout. I love the way Emily writes ,she has a great way of pulling you into her books from the very beginning till the very end.
This book is a great easy read and is perfect for your holiday or just relaxing on your day off..........But, then, you will wish you were on holiday as this book is about an uninvited guest whilst on holiday that just turns up! unexpected!
Aimee and her fiancé, Dale has just had a big fallout and she found out that Dale was having an affair with someone called Hannah. He promises Aimee that is over and he loves her only her!. and she believes him. But, they both need a fresh start, so they go on holiday to Florida hoping they can rekindle what they had between them.
Whilst sitting and relaxing by the infinity pool in Florida, Aimee's drink almost slips from her hand when a gorgeous blonde walks past them and gives my fiancé Dale a little wave to say Hi!!!! 🥺 WoW It’s only Hannah she is at the same hotel as them and with Dale’s friend Mitch! The whole atmosphere changes immediately around them. Both women have their own game to play. But, Hannah knows Aimee’s deep buried secret and wants to take advantage of it and she will!!!
Aimee can see Dale glancing over at Hannah and Aimee pretends she does not notice! But Aimee has been been keeping secrets for years from him and does, she really did love him.
When he cheated on Aimee she was devastated. Dale always made her feel like she was his whole world. So, this holiday was supposed to be their last chance to reconnect as a couple!, and Dale swears he didn’t invite her here. . . . but how did Hannah and Mitch know which resort they would be at? "I wonder?"
Aimee knows she can’t trust Hannah 100%. She’s obviously here for Dale, but does she know more about Aimee than she’s letting on? Either way, she’s very dangerous.
Now, Four people landed in Florida, and for 1 of them it's not for a holiday!!!! only three might make it home alive…
Excellent book! 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Big Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC.

While Aimee is on vacation with her fiancé Dale, her friends are back home moving her items from her home because Aimee caught Dale cheating on her and she plans on getting revenge before she takes her ring off. It’s all planned until the woman who Dale cheated with shows up at the airport with one of Dale’s friends and informs them that they are also staying in the same hotel. Aimee is livid and is more determined than ever to get her revenge not only on Dale but with the little home wrecker as well. All we know for sure is four people check in but only three people will check out.
I thought this was a good suspenseful read that kept my interest throughout. I thank Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This book had everything I crave in a psychological thriller—secrets, betrayal, and tension so thick you could slice it with a wine glass stem (preferably mid-scream). From the moment Aimee and Dale checked into that dreamy Florida resort, I was all in. And then Hannah showed up—with her boyfriend in tow, no less. Oh yes. Cue the chaos and cue the drama.
Emily doesn’t just write suspense—she serves it. Every twist landed like a mic drop. Just when I thought I had the plot pinned down, it spun out like a whirlwind and left me grinning. The pacing? Relentless. The characters? Deliciously messy. And that final twist? I clutched my metaphorical pearls.
If you’re looking for a vacation read that’ll make your heart race and your trust issues flare, Uninvited is it. I devoured it. I adored it. Emily Shiner, you’ve officially earned a spot on my “read everything you write” list.

A couple goes on vacation, when the ex-mistress shows up…what could possibly go wrong? Emily has done it again with another great read with twists and turns until the very end!

The first half of this book was ADDICTING! It’s like a train wreck - you can’t look away. The two female characters are plotting things against each other (and their male counterparts) that were just hilarious, honestly.
So many insidious and nefarious plot points!! It certainly was entertaining.
I also enjoyed the back story, and the fact that I didn’t know who it was really about until much later in the book.
But after the two women realize what the other is doing, it kind of lost steam and became pretty unbelievable and somewhat predictable.
I did enjoy the epilogue, because even though I saw part of it coming, I didn’t know how it would come about.

Secrets, betrayal, manipulation and revenge are at the heart of this thriller by Emily Shiner.
Told in alternate PoVs of Aimee and Hannah, it grips you from the get go. The dual timelines blend seamlessly into the story and the short snappy chapters kept me engaged. While it delivered on the twists and the tension, I wasn't a fan of any of the characters. Their behaviour felt unreasonable and a bit over the top. The ending ..well I did not see that coming.
Thank you @bookouture for having me on the #booksontour and @netgalley for the digital ARC to read and review.

This is the second book I am reading by Emily Shiner and she brings out a thriller that brings out about manipulation, betrayal and cheating all mingled together.
Dale brings his fiancée Aimee to a trip to make up for the fact that he cheated on Aimee. However at the trip, Dale's mistress Hannah also joins in trip. Aimee was devastated that Hannah is up to something and Hannah too wants to destroy Aimme which was in her agenda. However, there is even a bigger reason as to why Hannah wants revenge on Aimee.
The story is told in the POVs of Aimee and Hannah. Both characters are unreliable and both characters particularly Aimme is hiding a deep secret. The writing style was intriguing and interesting and there are twists and turns that will keep the reader feel like they are at the edge. All characters seem to be hiding some dark secret and the dynamics of the story and the characters are intense in my opinion. There is so much drama going on the story. And the ending was quiet unexpected.
Overall, this is a page turning unpredictable novel that will keep you up all night--worth five stars.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC and making me a part of the blog tour. The review is based on my honest opinion.

Makeup vacation gone wrong!! Aimee and her fiance Dale are on vacation trying to get their relationship back on track when who shows up, Hannah, the girl Dale cheated with, and her boyfriend Mitch.
This book is full of secrets and cringy moments and I couldn’t stop reading! I thought the story was going one way and then bam! it twisted and turned around! And I loved every second. Emily Shriner is a master storyteller and this story didn’t disappoint. Many thanks to the author, Bookouture and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of the book. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
