Thank you NetGalley & HarperAudio for allowing to listen to this ALC!
The cover of this book is what made me request it! I was just so intrigued!
This is a cute Romeo and Juliet retelling, I was waiting for a bit more rivals to lovers and more build up to it but overall I enjoyed my time with this audiobook!
Listening Speed: 1.5X
Narrator: Karen Cass
Feedback: I love the UK accent, I love the warmth of this narrator's voice, made me keep listening all day long!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 0%.
Made it to 30% before DNFing. Nothing about this book was landing for me - except maybe Aunt Flo. Neither main character was likeable and I can only take so many reminders that this was a Romeo and Juliet redux. It’s too bad because who doesn’t love a bookshop rivalry, but it just wasn’t for me.

Thank you to #NetGalley and #HarperAudio for an advance listening copy of #TheBattleOfTheBookshops. Interesting read. I don't think I'd consider it a romance as the relationship between Jules and Roman is really not developed or central. It's like they meet a couple of times and suddenly they love each other. There wasn't any chemistry or build up. 3 stars.

Thank you for an advance copy of the audio book. The narration was amazing, but unfortunately, the story felt disjointed and though the premise was good, the rivalry of two book sellers. It fell short for me.
