The story was enjoyable and kept me engaged throughout, even if it felt familiar at times. It had a nice flow and some moments that pulled me in, though it didn’t quite deliver anything groundbreaking. The ending was a bit predictable and didn’t leave a lasting impression, but overall, it was still a solid read that I didn’t mind spending time with.
Thank you for the opportunity.

Erin wants more to life. Coming from a hardworking single parent home that barely got by, Erin wants the opposite ends of the table. She doesn't want to serve the rich like her mom did, she wants to be the rich. When she meets Stefan her life changes.
She gets the good looking guy, the large house, the big diamond, the money. What possibly could go wrong? A home arrested brother in law who can't keep to himself for starters. A new husband whose past comes to haunt him when he's questioned for the murder of his previous ex fiance. So much unravels as family jealousy comes out.
You don't want to miss this engaging domestic mystery!

The Rich Guy’s Wife.
You are immediately captivated and unable to put the book down.
Erin hopes to have a life straight out of a fairy tale with a wealthy husband.
One evening, she meets Stefan, who , she hopes, will become her Prince Charming .
However, as she spend more time in his company, she learns that her husband may have a dark past.
Madison, her Hampton’s neighbour, and Lucy, her best friend who happens to be a well connected attorney, will provide Erin some crucial informations in order for her to navigate her new life and more importantly, stay alive.
Because there is suspense throughout the entire novel, I found it enjoyable to read.
However, the FBI's involvement and the final outcome of the narrative should have been better elaborated.
And remember, always be careful what you wish for!

The opinions are my own.

Be careful what you wish for! Erin sure learned that the hard way! This twisty thriller had me holding my breath right along with her as she hides in a closet, covered in blood, wondering how her dream life with Mr. Perfect turned into a total nightmare. I loved how the story pulled me into Erin’s desperate thoughts. One minute she’s swept off her feet by a charming rich guy, the next she’s questioning every secret, every warning her mom and best friend gave her. If you like dark fairy tales with chilling secrets and gasp-worthy twists, you’ll fly through this one like I did!

4.5/5 Stars
I've been reading tons of thrillers lately, and knew I wanted one that dealt with a rich husband and a mystery so when I saw the blurb for this I got excited. This book was exactly what I needed in the moment and filled the quota of what I wanted.
Erin was an interesting character, and I could see why she wanted to be a rich man and I loved how she progressed over the story. And I honestly found it interesting that although she seemed stubborn, she gave into Stefan so easily for certain things. I felt that was totally off for her character.
The writing style was good, and the build up and suspense was perfect for this domestic thriller.

The Rich Guy’s Wife invites us into a shimmering world of penthouses and private jets—but beneath the gloss lies a chilling truth. Erin, swept into marriage with the enigmatic Stefan Zeigler, quickly learns that love, wealth, and safety don’t always travel together. What begins as a fairy tale veers into noir as ghosts from Stefan’s past—his felon brother, a vanished ex, an unsettling business partner—emerge from the shadows.
Bonnie Traymore writes with a keen sense of dread, balancing opulence with vulnerability, and escalating tension with skill. Erin’s voice is intimate and immediate—each scene bristling with unease as she edges closer to a truth she’s not sure she wants to know. The pacing is brisk, the suspense unrelenting, and the atmosphere suffused with menace.
Smart, haunting, and compulsively readable, The Rich Guy’s Wife serves up a domestic thriller that seduces as much as it unsettles.
With thanks to Bonnie Traymore, the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

I really enjoyed this book! “The Rich Guy’s Wife” has very Freida McFadden vibes, super easy to read, difficult to put down, and a lot of fun twists and turns. Would recommend to anyone looking for an easy afternoon read.
3 stars as I felt that the writing was a bit clichè at times, the main character was not a good critical thinker but you do let that slide when you read these books.

The Rich Guy's Wife is a domestic thriller that was an enjoyable read, but a bit on the predictable side. There really wasn't anything that felt like a major twist to me. The characters also seemed to lack depth. Everyone felt a bit superficial and there wasn't much to connect to. I liked the story but it wasn't necessarily one that will stick with me for awhile. I'd say a solid 3.5 stars.

The Rich Guy’s Wife is the kind of thriller that lures you in with subtle unease and then yanks the rug out from under you. What starts as a seemingly perfect life spirals into a web of suspicion, hidden motives, and secrets that refuse to stay buried. Bonnie Traymore crafts a sharp, fast-paced story that kept me flipping pages long after I should have gone to bed.
Erin’s story begins with the allure of wealth and security. She’s married into privilege, seemingly trading her old life for one of ease. But as strange incidents begin to accumulate—whispers, inconsistencies, eerie near-accidents—it becomes clear that something is very wrong. Erin’s instincts are shouting, but the people around her, especially her close-knit group of friends, are clouding the truth rather than clarifying it.
The way Maddison weaves into the narrative is particularly compelling. Her role remains ambiguous for much of the story—is she trying to protect Erin, or is there something darker driving her choices? That uncertainty adds an extra layer of tension and complexity. I loved that the novel didn’t rush to hand over answers. Instead, it made you question everyone, especially the people closest to Erin.
Traymore’s writing style is brisk, cinematic, and emotionally tight. She doesn’t waste time with fluff, and that kept the momentum going even during the more introspective moments. The focus on female characters and the intricate dynamics between them was refreshing—it felt like the emotional heart of the novel was centered on friendship, mistrust, and female resilience rather than just the romantic or domestic drama.
The twists in the final chapters were absolutely wild. The decisions made by the characters in the climax were so unexpected yet weirdly believable that it left me wondering about them long after finishing the book.
For readers who like:
-Domestic thrillers
-High society drama
-Unreliable friendships and hidden agendas
Final Verdict
The Rich Guy’s Wife delivers a tightly wound, compulsively readable thriller that explores the cost of trust, the masks people wear, and what happens when comfort turns into a cage. Bonnie Traymore’s writing is tense, fast, and razor-sharp—a perfect pick for readers who crave high-stakes suspense with a strong female focus.
Grateful to NetGalley, BooksGoSocial and Bonnie Traymore for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

I found this book quite familiar, which isn’t too surprising given the amount of thrillers I read. But nothing here set it apart.
It’s a slow start and a gradual uptick in pace but for me it was hard to stay with it.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and Bonnie Traymore for the opportunity to read an advance reader copy of The Rich Guy’s Wife in return for an honest review.
I had a slow start with this book, as I struggled to connect with the characters initially and found the plot a bit unclear at first—especially regarding Stefan and Maddison’s motivations. That said, once the story gained momentum, I became genuinely engrossed. The suspense built nicely and the ending completely took me by surprise.
This was my first read from Bonnie Traymore, and I appreciated the strong female-focused narrative. The fast pace made this a very quick read—I finished it in under 24 hours. While the ending felt a bit rushed for my taste, I still thoroughly enjoyed the experience and am eager to read more from this author in the future.

The Rich guys wife by Bonnie Traymore. Kept me guessing until the end lots of suspense and lots of people involved. Never knew what to expect. This story is about a woman named Erin and the deceit is amazing. I read this in one day.

This but was pretty good but it was a slow ride I feel like the lady main character was very naïve because she was looking for love in all the wrong place never noticed all the red flags in her face I was yelling at the book on every page lol so good

I really enjoyed this book! It was such an easy, addictive read — kept me engaged from start to finish. Fast-paced, twisty in all the right places.. A solid, satisfying read, would highly recommend!

My favorite book of Bonnie Traymore’s so far! “The Rich Guy’s Wife” is a gripping thriller that pulled me in from the very first page. The suspense builds steadily and masterfully throughout, keeping me on edge and eager to find out what would happen next. With sharp writing, well-paced twists, and just the right amount of tension, this was a true page-turner—I didn’t want to put it down! Be careful what you wish for…

I was on a thriller high when I picked this up—coming off the back of three other thrillers. After reading the blurb, it reminded me of a favorite webtoon of mine, so I knew I had to give it a shot.
Unfortunately, I had just finished Hojay’s latest book (which was absolutely phenomenal), so while this story was interesting, it fell a bit short in comparison. It gave me a strong sense of déjà vu.
Erin jumped at the chance to be a rich guy’s wife and completely abandoned the people who truly cared about her, which made her hard to root for. This was actually my first time reading a domestic thriller, and despite some frustration with the characters, the ending was solid—and surprisingly satisfying.

A fun, entertaining read with a good twist near the end, but not the kind I expected. Think Sex and the City meets The Boyfriend. The vibe was similar to A Perfect Couple or A Simple Favor, drops of dark humor, but not dark. You don't know who to trust, and nobody is completely likable. The twist didn't floor me, so as a thriller I'd give it a 4, as a women's fiction, a 5. Split the difference to 4.5, rounded up for great writing.

I really enjoy this authors writing. This was another great story, suspenseful and I got through it in less than a day. Kept me interested but I did expect a little bit of a twist which I didn’t really get. But I feel you can’t go wrong with this authors thrillers !

Be careful what you wish for. Mother’s voice rings in my ears as I stand perfectly still in the darkness, fearing that each breath I take will be my last. I’m crouched down in the closet with blood on my hands, my legs and back aching to move, even an inch. But I can’t. One twitch, one cramp, and I’ll bang into a shelf and give myself away! Good thriller! This book had chilling suspense, murder, mystery, intrigue, and a few shocking twists! The story was interesting! I definitely recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

An unputdownable page-turner set in Manhattan and the Hamptons, that ramped up to a great ending. Erin has always dreamed of a life of luxury, and despite the warnings from her mother, she's determined to get there, one way or another. So when a handsome and mysterious wealthy guy tries to fast track their relationship, she fights the feeling that it's too good to be true. A light popcorn thriller you won't be able to put down. Not too dark, and very entertaining.
