Loved the main character again and enjoyed the writing and the dialogue. It was a little slower plot this time and took me a couple days to read, i wasn't fully invested. I am very glad it wasn't a friend again. The brother story line is unfinished and maybe a bit unnecessary if it's not a set up for the next book. Some interaction etc with Pom and Vienna was frustrating to read. Enjoyed her boyfriend struggling with Pom's world.

Amazing book loved the characters and plot. I couldn't stop reading I stayed up all night. I loved the book so much thank you for the arc.

It isn't easy to create a spoilt socialite character and make her likeable and funny but Bellamy Rose does it beautifully with dry wit. Pom is trying to turn over a new leaf and it is a steep learning curve. She is endearingly clueless at the same time as being very insightful. Loved it. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I received this book yesterday from Netgalley and immediately devoured it!
Pomona Afton Can Totally Catch a Killer was my first introduction to Pomona, and now I’m completely smitten with her character! I can’t wait to go back and read her first adventure in full.
The story opens with Pomona striving to present a more serious image as she launches her foundation, dedicated to supporting underprivileged teens in NYC. With her personal reputation, the future of her organization, and even a safe space for the kids at stake—not to mention the need to once again question the innocence of those closest to her—you know you’re in for an engaging ride.
I especially enjoyed her wonderfully unconventional lifestyle and her individual process.
Here’s hoping we get another Pomona Afton novel in the future! In the meantime, I’ll be diving into book one.
I received an ARC of this ebook from Atria Books egalley via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review!

Wow, this one is hard. The characters are insufferable and not in the 'jersey shore' I keep going because it makes for good drama way. Pomona doesnt grow. I definitely feel like i wasted my time reading this one. Very disappointed.

I think it’s official, I’m a full-on Pomona Afton fangirl. She’s quickly climbing to Finlay Donovan status for me.
Pomona Afton Can Totally Catch a Killer was such a delight. Pomona is her usual fabulous, slightly chaotic self—smart, stylish, and somehow always in the middle of a mess. This time she’s juggling a high-stakes gala for her nonprofit, a boyfriend who doesn’t quite fit in, a family that’s… a lot, and then, of course, a dead body right in the middle of her party. It’s funny, sharp, and full of little moments that made me grin, but also has a mystery that kept me turning pages. Bellamy Rose has such a knack for balancing glamour and absurdity with genuine heart. I finished this one already wishing I had the next Pomona book in my hands.

I really enjoyed the first Pomona Afton story - but didn't want to read it again... This one felt like going back in time in the sense that the character didn't seem to have learned all that much from her personal growth in book one. The occasional monologue reference to her *old* friends and *old* life aside, I found Pomona grating this time around. All the endearing quirkiness and self-obsession I enjoyed watching her work her way through in the first book was lightly present here but I was hoping to see more there there, given all she went through. I just couldn't get into this one...

Pomona Afton is the second book in this wonderful, quirky, frivolous series. It 's not trying to be something it's not, and the book never takes anything too seriously. The characters are fun and flawed, the plot is not too deep, and overall it is a quick, likable read perfect for the beach or when you have just come off reading a heavy and dark book.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this novel.

I received an ARC from #NetGalley for ‘Pomona Afton Can Totally Catch A Killer.’ It was a good read with much of the same vibes as the first book in this series. There’s so many parts of the story where I genuinely want to dislike Pomona but that her redeeming qualities shines through. Definitely a good, enjoyable read. If you enjoyed the first one in this series, you’ll definitely enjoy this one too. I assume there will be more. Can’t wait to read them also! Four stars!

This is such a fun and glamorous cozy mystery!
I enjoyed this book a lot! Pomona Afton is an heiress who just wants to run a successful nonprofit and have a successful relationship, but a murder at her first charity gala threatens all her goals. As she navigates high society friendships and life with her her regular-guy boyfriend, Pomona works to solve her second murder.
My favorite part of this book is the way Pomona uses people's wrong impressions of her to get what she wants. Pom is smart and savvy, but all people see in her is a vapid heiress; this makes her the perfect person to get the truth out of people and investigate a murder.
Thank you so much to Atria Books for the free ebook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review!

Pomona is back, baby! I thought this was a wonderful follow up to one of my new favorite cozy mystery series. Pomona is starting her life after her solving the murder of her grandmother and is learning adjusting back to her prior life is harder when you've found someone who doesn't know the inner workings of the rich. I thought her relationship with Gabe grew in a really natural way and added to the subplot of figuring out who murdered the person at her first event. I'm looking forward to the next Pomona Afton book!
Thanks to Atria Books for this eARC provided from netgalley!

I personally did not like this book but I think others might.
I found it to be convoluted and boring

just wasn't for me... nothing else to say. firstly, i went to read the first one, and that was okay. but i just didn't love it the way i wanted to. so sorry

Pomona Afton is such a fun and quirky character. I enjoyed the first book in the series so I was excited to jump into this one. The story had a few laugh out loud moments and twists and turns that kept the story interesting. At times the story seemed to move a little slow for me but overall it was still an enjoyable read!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy. All thoughts are my own.

Bellamy Rose brings back Pomona Afton in a delightful second rom-mystery, “Pomona Afton Can Totally Catch a Killer.” Pom, who can truly be described by an old-fashioned term, daffy, is a sort of reformed socialite/influencer who nearly lost everything, but solved her hotel magnate/nasty Grandma’s murder in order to retrieve her entire family’s inheritance (the same group who always undervalued and mocked her and still do). While solving that murder, Pom learned a lot about herself and her previous selfishness, and her entitled heiress days are over. She’s still with down-to-earth Gabe, her former nanny’s son; she’s opened a dream bakery; and she’s sponsoring a foundation for underprivileged students. We find her planning a fundraising gala with bestie Vienna at the New York City Library (wondering if she can smuggle in “trained” peacocks), when near the end of a fairly successful night, a body falls from the second floor (and onto the weird hanging peacock art piece). The fact that the dead person is someone Pomona loathed is not helping her reputation rehabilitation.
Author Rose writes a charming, witty, often hysterically funny story that it’s impossible to not be smiling as you read. In the second installment we already have opinions about the recurring characters, but this story is just as delightful as a standalone. I absolutely love Pomona Afton and her signature drink: The Pomona Afton — a little sweet, a little spicy, and deceptively strong. Also, pink. This book is such a joy! 5 stars!
Literary Pet Peeve Checklist:
Green Eyes (only 2% of the real world, yet it seems like 90% of all fictional females): YES Cora has familiar cat-like green eyes.
Horticultural Faux Pas (plants out of season or growing zones, like daffodils in autumn or bougainvillea in Alaska): NO But Pomona can finally put porcelain planters on her own mantel without her mother complaining.
Thank you to Atria/Emily Bestler Books and NetGalley for an advanced reader copy!

Unfortunately, this one fell flat for me and I won't be continuing any future books in this series. I will not be leaving feedback on goodreads as I do understand the author worked incredibly hard on this book and I know this book will land for others. I couldn't get into the actual mystery and I don't particularly love our main character so truly it was a struggle to get through this book.

I absolutely adore the Pomona Afton novels! They’re such easy, breezy reads that whisk me away into the glamorous world of the rich. I’ve loved watching Pom grow from book one to now, and her relationship with Gabe is just as wonderful as ever.
What really makes these books stand out for me, though, is how genuinely funny they are. I’ve actually highlighted all the passages that made me laugh (which is something I almost never do). Bellamy Rose has a gift for sharp, witty humor that feels effortless and keeps me smiling the entire time I’m reading.
While the mystery in this installment is engaging, I’m truly here for the joy of escaping into Pom’s sparkling, hilarious life. These books are my perfect comfort read, and I can’t wait to see where Pom goes next!
Thank you to Bellamy Rose, Atria Books, and NetGalley for sending me the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

If you combine Blair Waldorf with Nancy Drew you get Pomona Afton! I enjoyed this lighthearted mystery. Although predictable and at times cheesy, this book was engaging and really enjoyable! I think this series is a great one to recommend for someone interested in mysteries who is more content sensitive!

3⭐️
This was my first ARC. It’s was okay. Very predictable. It was hard to get into and I didn’t really like the main character. The story was fun to see how she went from suspect to suspect. I liked her self relaxing moment. Over all it was okay.
It would be nice for text messages to be differentiated. Pooped out or something. That was hard for me to follow at first.

Pom really wants to do good things and not see more people die but when she throws her first gala, She finds herself in the middle of an investigation. This book is clearly a continuation of a prior series but it made sense even without reading the prior book. It was a light read and I enjoyed the story. Pamona shows growth throughout the story as she is clearly struggling to balance the expectations of society with the need to grow up. Great story to read on the beach or while sitting in the park.
