"Do you also want to practice a good night kiss?"
When I say my heart swooned the ENTIRE time I listened to Seas the Dating Coach, believe it! Vivian is beyond shy, and a series of unfortunate events leads Finn to agree to teach her how to date. The more Viv opens up, the more Finn's heart closing around the idea that they're meant to be more than friends.
He holds her hand while she gains her voice. He fixes her hair when she needs a boost. He has a secret he fears will rip away the corner of happiness he's built while helping the woman he loves pursue another man.
Seas the Dating Coach is a balm to the soul. The pining...THE PINING! It made the steam OOZE off the page while keeping the door firmly closed. I don't know how Laura does it!
Rylee Kuberra and John Joseph Rogers narrated the friends-to-lovers sweet romance for the audiobook. I loved that they made it conversational instead of having Rylee voice the male parts during her chapters and vice versa. It helped the story feel more real.
Thank you, Laura Langa and Netgalley, for the opportunity to listen to this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this romance novel. It was cute and quirky and I can't wait for book 2! The audiobook was done in alternating characters voices and POVs and was engaging and well done. I loved the premise of this rom com and I feel like it would make the perfect romcom movie. Can't wait for more!

Loved this book. It was amazing and hits all my boxes. I thoroughly enjoyed the small town and the banter. I canr wait for the next Book.

Loved it! Laura Langa has been a favorite since her very first book and this one was no exception. I did love getting to read it on audio and am definitely going to tell all my friends that this is the way to go! (Audio makes all our lives easier, right?)

I have never read a Book by this author and I can honestly say that because of this Audiobook she will become a automatic read/listen! I know listening is different because the narrators make the Story a make it ot break it for me and in this instance omg did they make it!! These two narrators Rylee Kuberra; John Joseph Rogers are winners in my Book!! Like seriously they gave every character a voice and I Loved it so much more because of that!! So if you want to listen to an audiobook to find new favorite narrators listen to this book!!

I've been trying to take time to pick up a Laura Langa read for a while and I finally made it happen. This is just the sweetest story with amazing side characters. The FMC is genuine and shy. The MMC is mysterious, confident, and absolutely gone for the girl. And I was here for every bit of it. Wilks Beach has my heart and I can't wait to visit again when Laura graces us with another book in the series.

A light, sweet listen. Small town, shy girl, new guy in town with a hidden agenda and a bunch of well meaning, nosy neighbors. Took me a bit to get into. Initially, I found Vivian quite immature and Finn to be incredibly condescending and pompous. I stopped listening, but went back to it. Glad I did. Vivian is a sweet woman who loses the ability to speak around her crush. Finn is desperately in need of saving himself and his sister from his manipulative father. They team up to help each other get what they want and think they need. An easy enjoyable listen.

The dating coach trope has to be done really well for me to like it and I think this delivered. The chemistry between Finn and Vivian was great and I loved their banter. I liked the journeys that they both took to take hold of their lives after the issues in the past. The town had lots of great side characters and I’m sure there is more to come with some of them. I didn’t love the “magic” of the sea and library but that’s just a personal preference.
I think the narrator choices were well done and loved the dual point of view. I don’t always like when there is duet narration but it worked here.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the gifted audiobook. The thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.
Content Notes: Kisses

This book is really sweet. 😍 Very Hallmark
This is a closed door, enemies to friends to lovers in a small town.
I normally don't go for closed door romance because I like the level of connection you get with some spice but this book does a great job without out that.
While I did really enjoy this small town romance, I found the MMC and his family situation really weird ....I understand its place but after it was explained I just was thrown off by it.
I recieved this as an audio book and the narrators did a great job. Their voices match their age and personality perfectly.
Thank you Dreamscape Select for the ARC

This was such a cute listen! This one was very much a 3.5 star almost 4 star. I thought this book felt a little long, which is why it didn't get to 4 stars, but I love the relationship between the two MCs. The relationship between the two MCs was just cute. I love the shyness of the FMC and how the MMC was able to bring her true self out without either of them trying.
The narrators Rylee Kuberra and John Joseph Rogers did a great job bringing this story to life.
I really enjoyed how they brought the emotions and banter throughout the book.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for this ALC in exchange for my honest review.

What a fun, sweet audio book! The duet narration really brought this story to life, too. Finn and Vivian’s layers slowly appear throughout the story as they fall for each other while not meaning to.
Even though Finn, at first, appears to have everything together and under control in his life, he has some very big worries that overwhelm him at times. And Vivian has been living a subdued life, always afraid to take any step away from her quiet existence. These two really need each other and bring out the best in each other in the most wonderful of ways.
This novel has lots of swoony romantic tension, emotional vulnerability, and the realization of what love truly is as Vivian and Finn fall for each other.
I was wondering how the author was going to wrap up the book in a happily ever after against what seemed to potentially be overwhelming odds, but she did it in a satisfying way that I felt made sense to the story. I’m looking forward to reading future books in this series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I've been reading more and more audio books lately. I love them for when I do my workouts. And when I'm driving by myself. I might start listening to more when I'm alone during the day as well.
This book on audio was so great! I loved the way the male reader, John Joseph Rogers, was so dramatic. He made the character of Finn just come alive.
Speaking of Finn, I loved his character. It was kind of interesting how the people of Wilks Beach treated him, well newcomers in general. They really had a strong distrust of them and didn't include them in anything. Until Vivian got involved. I loved how Finn treated Vivian as a strong woman, instead of a timid child. That was how most of the island community treated her. And it was sad, because that was how she saw herself because of it.
Vivian is a great character as well. And I loved how the reader read her parts. Rylee Kuberra did such a great job! She might be my current favorite female reader.
Vivian had a crush and she wanted to do something about it, but she wasn't able to speak whenever the man was around. And that's how Finn helped her. I loved the way she came out of her shell when she was around him. And how, little by little, she fell for him in a big way!
This book was so great! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

This is book one in the Wilks Beach series, and I listened to the audiobook. It’s a small-town summer romance with a closed-door vibe that was light and easy to follow. While it had some charming moments, it didn’t fully land for me, and in the end, it felt more like a pleasant listen than a standout one.
Vivian is a shy dressmaker who’s never even been kissed, and when she finally gets the courage to speak to her longtime crush, she ends up slipping in a puddle and falling straight into the arms of the new librarian in town. Vivian is insecure and unsure of herself, but I liked seeing her slowly come out of her shell.
Finn is the new guy in town and the library director who has some baggage of his own. He’s suave, confident, and definitely not the typical librarian type. I actually liked that about him. He’s trying to fix his reputation in town while distancing himself from his powerful and controlling billionaire father. He strikes a deal with Vivian: in exchange for her helping improve his reputation with the locals, he’ll be her dating coach. It’s a win-win situation for them both.
There were some fun moments and I appreciated the chemistry, but I do wish the magical sea element had been explored more instead of just lightly touched on. It had so much potential to be whimsical and unique, and it just felt like an afterthought. The romance was sweet and clean, and even though it didn’t completely blow me away, I still enjoyed the story for what it was.
I really loved both narrators. Rylee Kuberra brought Vivian’s awkward charm to life, and John Joseph Rogers captured Finn’s confident tone perfectly. They made it an easy and engaging listen from start to finish.
This was a quick, clean, small-town romance that had its charm but didn’t fully stick with me. It might be a better fit for someone in the mood for something light, sweet, and low-angst.
Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and West East Publishing for the advanced listening copy.

I was lucky enough to receive the audiobook from NetGalley and truly devoured it!
The story is set in a small beach town, where everyone knows everyone’s business. So when Finn walks in, the new librarian, Vivian is warned to stay away.
However, an opportunity presents itself; in exchange for helping the locals accept Finn, he would be Vivian’s ‘daring coach’ to help her pluck up the courage to speak to her long-time crush, Atticus.
I really enjoyed the sweet nature of this book, the swooning moments, the tension, and especially the backstories of the characters as we really got to know them.
This is the prefect read for the summer!

This was a sweet romcom featuring a librarian and seamstress. The character development of Vivian embracing who she is and becoming more confident in herself is an experience everyone needs in their life. Finn is charming and finds himself falling hard for Vivian. These two make a great match and their love story is one to be enjoyed.

This book has all of the ingredients I was looking for - he falls first, Librarian/book lover, not a lot of lying which I appreciated a lot!! I really loved the mutual respect they had for each other and how much Finn supported Vivian without pushing or walking all over her, it was a great balance.
But…
It got a bit ridiculous with his family’s dynamic. I don’t want to spoil anything, but I feel like it wasn’t needed. It went a bit off the rails but the wrap up was sweet and over all I liked the book.

Vivienne is the loveable sweet and quiet dress maker on the small island, while Finn is the handsome main lander the whole town is sure is out to destroy their small town library. When Vivienne and Finn make a deal to help one another, him coaching her on dating and how to speak to men so she can speak to the local accountant and her helping him to appear friendly with the locals, they become fast friends and start to fall for each other.
Full of sass, growth and Bridgerton references- this is a sweet rom com with zero spice!

I think this may have been better for me if I didn’t listen to it. I really wanted to like this. I kept trying!! The story is cute, but like… I was cringing and eye-rolling through a lot of it. 🫣
Vivian is a never-been-kissed 27 year old who lives in a small beach town and dreams of designing dresses, however struggles with speaking to people she doesn’t know well after her parents died suddenly when she was a child. Vivian is crushing on a man named Atticus, and when she gets the nerve to try to talk him, she slips on a puddle of coffee and the new library director, Finn—is the one to catch her. Knowing the hatred of him by so many in her town, she is immune to his charm.
When bumping into him in the library later, she is irritated when he is yet again witness to her inability to speak to her long-time crush. He makes a deal with her—he’ll coach her in dating and how to talk to people, if she’ll help repair his reputation with the town. All he wants to do is improve the library so he can work his way up and get away from the grasp of his billionaire father. 🙄
Of course, as time goes on, they start to develop feelings for each other. A cute development with minimal spice 🌶️ throughout but clear character and feeling development!
Sadly this book just had a few ick factors for me:
1) Finn calls Vivian “Gorgeous” (as a nickname) despite not knowing her at all, making him sound douchey right from the start.
2) Self deprecating FMC - I can’t with the “he can’t really like lil ol’ me” vibes. Nope, not into it.
3) The narration of Finn by John Joseph Rogers really killed this for me. It was hard to get through it honestly. He sounded like such a tool. It likely would have been higher stars for me if I just read it and didn’t listen. Rylee Kuberra who voiced Vivian did a good job, not wow, but good!
Overall, I wanted to like this—I truly did, and I’m sure it’s a better read than a listen, but I can’t bring myself to go back. Thanks to NetGalley for the ALC in exchange for my honest review! 😣

This had such a fun setup—a sweet, if slightly socially awkward woman getting dating advice from a mysterious outsider new to her small coastal town? Yes please! The premise was cute, the setting was charming (and perfect for the summer!), and there were definitely a few sweet and funny moments that made me smile.
But overall, it just didn’t fully land with me. The characters lacked some depth, and the plot felt a bit predictable. It was a quick, easy read (great for a beach day) but not one that will stick with me. I also was not a huge fan of the male narrator.
A special thanks to Dreamscape Media, West East Publishing, & Netgalley for an early copy of this audiobook to review.

There are so many things I could say about this book that this review won’t do it justice, but I absolutely loved this one!
Town Sweetheart Vivian and Sexy somewhat mysterious Finn make an amazing pair in this closed door small town romance! It has a wonderful slowburn and I had the pleasure of listening to this one on audio! It has a true Duel Narration which was a fun change! Meaning the male reader actually reads all the male lines, regardless of POV!
I fell in love with Vivian and Finn easily, and I really loved how they didn’t focus too much on Vivian’s curves, and she only talked positively about herself and her body. Very refreshing when most books with a plus size FMC have a lot of insecurities (fair but sometimes you want something more positive) and Langa does an amazing job with it.
I loved the setting of Wilkes Beach and I hope I get to come back one day! It felt very surreal reading about a small town so incredibly similar to the real small town I spent many childhood summers in exactly 1 hour away from Virginia Beach! The setting really makes you feel transported to the beautiful bayside town.
I highly recommend this and especially as an audio book! Available now on Kindle Unlimited too!
