Well, I never thought I would be into some demon steamy spicy sesh, but it was certainly a fun and exciting ride, (pun intended). The magical and demon world building was great for a someone who is just stepping into the series.
I really enjoyed both the FMC and MMCs because I can totally picture the chemistry and attraction there. Also, the demon form of the MMC is hilarious.
I really enjoyed this book and think this author is brillant and totally funny. I highly recommend this book! What a great find.

This book was such a fun ride! Demons with Benefits has everything I love in a paranormal romance: snarky banter, a broody but loveable demon, and just the right mix of heat and heart. Aurora Ascher makes it so easy to get pulled into her world; the writing is quick and witty, and the romance feels natural even with all the supernatural chaos happening.

The demon hero isn’t just dark and dangerous (though, yes, he’s definitely that) he’s also layered and surprisingly sweet once you peel back the tough exterior. And the heroine? Total powerhouse. She gives as good as she gets, which makes their chemistry so much fun to watch unfold.

What I really liked is that it’s not just about the steam there’s actual emotional depth too. You end up rooting for them not only because they’re hot together but because they truly fit.

If you’re into paranormal romances that don’t take themselves too seriously, but still give you all the swoons and spice, this one’s worth picking up.

For readers drawn to the redemptive ache of two damaged souls learning to love their darkest selves. If you crave emotional, medium-paced paranormal romance that balances snark and heat with raw trauma, monstrous desire, and the push-pull of enemies becoming each other's salvation.

I could say it’s not you, it’s me. But in this case I don’t think that applies. I don’t know that it’s just a case of slumps, but I really just do not care for this overarching story. I’d hoped the series would snag my attention at some point. But here we are and I’ve just had enough.
Thank you NetGalley and RBmedia for this audio copy

This is the third installment of the Hell Bent series where Meph and Iris end up in a situationship. It's a paranormal enemy-to-lovers story, which is part of a series however it can be read as a standalone. This book is the spiciest of the 3 books in this series, so if you like spice and haven't started the series, you are good to just read this book. However, if you start with book 1, then you will get more of a background on the characters. Also, the narrator for the audiobook brings this story to life. With a run time of 12 hours and 24 minutes, you can binge it over a weekend or savor it over a couple of weeks.

Thank you to Aurora Asher, Narrator Kirsten Leigh, RBMedia, and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook. I loved it.

This is the funniest story, the banter between the two main characters who literally hate each other is the best and the story is amazing. So looking forward to more by this author. The audio was well done and the emotions and humor spot on.

Thank you @NetGalley and @RBmedia for the ARLC. Aurora Ascher is my new favorite author. This series is so good and I just saw they have new beautiful paperback covers, stunning. This is the third book in the series and Meph story of finding love. Iris is a witch who hates demons but she can not stop thinking about one demon in particular. This starts as a hate to love romance but then sparks fly and you can not stop listening.

Demon with Benefits is the third installment in the Hell Bent series, and it centers on Mephistopheles (Meph), a demon haunted by a deeply traumatic past in hell, who masks his pain with humor, and Iris—Lily’s twin sister—a fiercely independent, snarky witch with zero interest in demons or commitment.

Their dynamic kicks off with an enemies-to-lovers tension that’s messy and borderline toxic, but quickly evolves into a no-strings-attached, friends-with-benefits arrangement.

The chemistry between these two was absolutely scorching. The author masterfully weaves monster romance elements into the paranormal framework, creating a tale that’s as steamy as it is emotionally resonant.

Their fast paced tale was emotional, and humorous, with sharp, witty banter and character growth that was really well done. The secondary characters added so much to the story and I really love the relationship dynamics among the brothers. If you're a fan of paranormal romance with a monster twist, this one’s a must-read.

Audiobook 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Narrated by Kirsten Leigh, the audiobook brought the story to life with energy and emotion. While the female character voices occasionally lacked consistency—and the Irish accent faded in and out—it didn’t detract from the overall experience. The narration still captured the essence of the characters and kept me hooked from start to finish.

I loved it so much! It was funny but hot, characters were well fleshed out and the story kept me going. And it wasn't shallow, as the characters had their story to tell and emotional baggage. Definitely recommend ! Also I really loved the narration.

Yeah, so her? I'm obsessed with her. And no, this is not me channeling Meph. This is solely me speaking as a reader obsessed with this series, its characters, Aurora Ascher herself and anything and all to do with the contents of this specific book. I opted for the audio and thank god (not him, really) but this is such an experience... that I now implore you to experience. There is one scene, OH MAH GAAWD, that I do not believe anyone in the history of, well, ever will be able to top.

Thank you to Netgalley, Aurora Ascher and Recorded Books for the ALC of the audiobook. Give my men a voice please (Kirsten, you did great.)

Demon With Benefits is the third book in the Hell Bent series, and it just confirmed why this has become one of my comfort series. I’ve loved every installment so far, and the “found family” vibe across the books makes it even more special.

Meph and Iris’s dynamic—enemies-to-lovers turned friends-with-benefits—was spicy, hilarious, and surprisingly tender. Meph’s sunshine chaos balanced with Iris’s guarded grumpiness was addictive to read, and the side characters (plus the familiars!) added so much charm. The story has that perfect mix of campy fun, emotional depth, and molten heat that makes me fly through these books.

This is one of the series I highly recommend on audio—the narration adds so much humor and heart, especially to Meph’s character. I can’t wait for the next book (Raum’s story can’t come soon enough!).

This book was really well written and was a fun listen too and definitely recommend it! I didn't know at time it was 3rd in series but was still able to follow along no problem!

I have really enjoyed this series so far and I think that this book was such an interesting departure from the first two. While the first two felt like cozy reluctance, this felt much more an effort to get to the happy ending. Although the theme of character growth for both Meph and Iris was wonderful and again, a similar vein to the first two books, it felt like the growth was more about accepting themselves, versus fixing themselves. As always I loved the humor, and the spice was perfect.

I also love how this book could easily be read out of order.

4⭐ 3🌶️

The emotional rollercoaster that was this book. I was waiting to see the real Meph hiding behind all the dumb jokes and 13 yo boy attitude. I loved the character development of both him and Iris. Super excited to see where the plot goes with the stolen book and Murmur's role.

I jumped between the audiobook and the ebook and really enjoyed both formats.

Thanks to the author, the Net Galley and Kensington publishing for the advanced copy. All comments are my own.

Demon with Benefits is an addictive enemies-to-lovers paranormal romance that combines dark, gritty fantasy elements with a steamy, emotional romance centered around a lovable, bad-boy demon and a fiercely prickly witch. Meph, the demon with a mischievous grin and a hidden, pain-ridden past, quickly stole my heart as the story explored his complex layers—playful exterior, dark secrets, and a surprising artistic talent. Iris, initially abrasive and guarded due to her traumatic past, undergoes impressive growth throughout the narrative, transforming from a character I wasn’t particularly fond of in the previous books to someone I found myself rooting for. The chemistry between these two is combustible, packed with sizzling moments that escalate into more adventurous and intimate scenes, all set against a backdrop of danger, violence, and emotional healing.
Aurora Ascher expertly blends humor, danger, and emotional depth in this installment, pushing her characters through a journey of self-discovery and acceptance. The story takes bold steps beyond typical enemies-to-lovers tropes, delving into themes of grief, trauma, and the power of connection. The worldbuilding expands beautifully here, intricately weaving in more details about the demon realm and the complex relationships among the other characters, making me fully invested in the series’ overarching plot. While it reads smoothly as a stand-alone, those familiar with the series will appreciate the recurring characters and ongoing storyline. The climax is intense and satisfying, culminating in a heartfelt resolution and a sweet glimpse into the future, hinting at more adventures to come.
This book is a rollercoaster of emotions with plenty of steam and action, making it a must-read for fans of dark paranormal romance with a touch of humor. The storyline explores not only fiery attraction but also deep-seated emotional wounds, which the characters bravely confront together. Aurora Ascher crafts a vivid, gritty universe with memorable characters, and her portrayal of love as a transformative force is both compelling and sexy. Just a heads-up: it contains violence, profanity, and intense emotional themes, so it’s perfect for readers who enjoy a darker, more intense romantic ride. Overall, Demon with Benefits delivers a satisfying mix of danger, passion, and emotional growth—an excellent addition to the series and a fantastic read for paranormal romance lovers.

Meph is 100% my favourite MMC so far. He's felt the most demon-y yet and the way his demon form was described was really cool, exactly the kind of vibes I hope for when reading about demons. Iris was also my favourite FMC, though I did like her significantly less than Meph. And the spicy scenes between them? Yum!

Like the last book, I'm excited that we're getting further into the lore of this world. It seems like things are starting to really pick up with the Hell politics, and I'm kinda hoping that we're going to see Lucifer make an appearance soon. He's being dangled in front of us as the Big Bad, but we have yet to see how actually bad that is.

It’s a little too cliche at times for my taste but overall I enjoyed it. It’s well written and compelling enough that I didn’t get bored. The smut was very good and quite abundant by the second half.

This Book is a fierce, emotionally raw continuation of the Hell Bent series. Meph is the demon I didn’t know I needed: snarky, broken, and secretly tender. His banter with Iris is electric, but it’s the vulnerability beneath the teasing that really got me. Iris, the blue-haired witch with a sharp tongue and a guarded heart, is the perfect match for him. Their enemies-to-lovers dynamic is messy, spicy, and surprisingly healing.
The story picks up seamlessly from book two, deepening the world and relationships without losing momentum. There’s more action, more emotional stakes, and yes more monster kink… Tentacle tongue? Aurora really said “go big or go home.”

✨ Tropes I loved:
• Enemies to lovers with serious emotional baggage
• Found family vibes with the demon crew
• Beauty and the Beast energy, but make it spicy
• Artist hero with a monstrous side he’s afraid to show

🎧 If you’re into audiobooks, Kirsten Leigh’s narration brings Meph and Iris to life with so much nuance. The tension, the humor, the heartbreak it’s all there. But with so many characters and shifting dynamics, the solo narration struggled to keep them distinct. A duet or full-cast format would’ve elevated the experience and brought more clarity to the character voices. Still, major props for the effort it’s no easy feat to juggle that many personalities.

This book is a wild, heartfelt ride through trauma, healing, and unexpected love. If you’re craving a romance that’s equal parts filthy and tender, this one delivers.

So I listened to Demon with Benefits on audiobook… and honestly, not a fan. 🙃 Iris has trauma from seeing a demon kill her parents, and Meph is a hot demon with baggage; but the whole “enemies to maybeee lovers” thing just didn’t land for me.

The characters try to carry the story, but the pacing is all over the place, and the drama felt forced. The dark vibes were intense, but instead of pulling me in, it just made me roll my eyes.

If you’re into dark romance & angst, maybe check it out. Personally, I’d skip the audiobook. The narrator didn’t differentiate the different characters, the way the story is written is just all over the place and honestly I was just confused bc i didn’t know who was saying what at what time, it put me off the whole thing, almost DNFd but we made it. Needless to say, not my cup of tea.
