Want a spicy book with a shifter? Long tentacle-like tongues your thing? Love a guy with full body tattoos? Look nor further!

This story follows Meph, a demon, and Lily, a witch. She wants nothing to do with him or any of his demon "brothers", but neither one of them can deny their attraction for the other. As they navigate having a good time, they let down their guard and fall for each other.

Demon with Benefits is book 3 in the Hell Bent series. I didn't realize it was the 3rd in a series prior to obtaining this audiobook, and this was my first I've read. I did research and learned that each book focuses on different characters, so it isn't necessary to read them in order. It would still be helpful, though.

This book was a good time, from start to finish!

Thank you told NetGalley for this ALC!

Meph might be my favorite demon boy yet. I think its the two sided damagedness of him—which I will absolutely need to talk to my therapist about... I am also completely obsessed with Meph's relationship with Eva's mom. That dynamic just warms my heart so much.

This whole series reads as Lucifer the TV show mixed with Butcher and Blackbird by Brynne Weaver and I really enjoy that combo. The books are getting a bit darker as they go along, but in a way that is anticipated and tasteful.

The audiobooks for these are fast paced, quick reads and the narrator does a fabulous job.

Thank you, RBmedia | Recorded Books and Netgalley, for the ALC of this book.

Demon with Benefits immediately had me hooked and I binge-listened to the audiobook for this one as much as I could.

Meph and Iris had some immediate chemistry that was off the charts and I fell in love with Meph’s character right from the start. This foul mouthed and dirty talking demon knew which strings to pull on Iris to bring their banter to life. And the spice? OH MY GOD, immediate 5 stars for that alone🥵🔥

This was easily a 5 ⭐️ read for me and if I wrote anymore about it, i’d end up giving it all away! I didn’t read the first two but I will absolutely be going back to read them and then re-reading this one again to get more of the full story!

I did not know that this was part of a series. You can read/listen to it as a standalone. It's funny, cute and sexy. The usual enemies to lovers trope but I enjoyed it immensely. I listened to the audiobook, the only issue I had with it was that the Demons short name is Meth. At least that is what it sounds like. Besides it was quick easy read. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.

Story: 3⭐
Spice: 3🌶️
Narration: 4⭐

I really enjoyed the narration on this book. It was read in a single narration, but Kirsten Leigh did wonderfully. I'm pretty sure she was the reason I stuck around the entire book.

I really wanted to like this one. I liked the story and will continue with the next book, but I just didn't connect with Meph and Iris's romance. It was real whiplash. Hot/Cold. That type of thing.

This one was a lot spicier than the others. Friends with benefits = Lots of scenes but what I didn't realized there would be a bit of Monster romance towards the end. For those who like Monster smut 😉

ARC audiobook review.

Demon With Benefits by Aurora Ascher is the 3rd book in the Hell Bent series. This spicy paranormal romance is incredibly entertaining and addictive. The characters and this world created are both fun and sexy. Witches and demons, oh my!

Narrator Kirsten Leigh brings this book to life with her fantastic delivery using perfect timing and pacing. Her voice is easy to listen to and engages the listener.

This is Meph and Iris' story.
This enemies-to-lovers will hook you from the start. Meph with his bad-boy hottie attitude and Iris with her take-no-nonsense headstrong character make for a magnetic opposites attract couple. They are hot, hot, hot together!

The plot is full of action and suspense while the romance and spice are wild and piping hot. With a common enemy they have to fight and feelings they must learn to heal and navigate this book had me on the edge of my seat with excitement.

Each book just keeps getting better. I loved their story the most.

Thank you to NetGalley, author Aurora Ascher, and RBmedia for the audiobook ARC.

This was such a good time! I was worried about being lost because I had not read the first two books before listening but I was not confused at all throughout the story.
This was a great mix between romantic comedy and serious events with good pacing. The characters all have unique personalities that make them come to life.

The narrator was fantastic. I was engaged and interested in the story the whole way through.

I found the tone of the FMC's inner dialogue to be a bit young at first but that did not last long and I enjoyed her inner monologuing by the end.

This is definitely worth lostening to. I bought the first two audiobooks to continue listening to the parts I missed!

A huge thank you to NetGalley and Recorded Books Media for allowing me to listen to this ALC.

Demon with Benefits is a fun, fiery addition to Aurora Ascher’s Hell Bent series. With its blend of rom-com humor, paranormal charm, and off-the-charts chemistry, it’s impossible to put down.

Iris and Meph shine in this one—her tough exterior is balanced with real vulnerability, and his playboy persona is peeled back to reveal surprising depth. Their tension is the spiciest yet!

I’m excited for what’s next in the series and never want it to end.

Thank you to NetGalley for the free audio ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This is book 3 in the Hell Bent series, and I’ve been waiting for Meph’s story since the very beginning. He’s the tattooed, sarcastic demon with a hidden soft side, and I was more than ready for all that tension between him and Iris to finally explode. And let me just say... it was everything I hoped for. I could not stop listening.

Iris is a strong, guarded witch who’s sick of giving her heart to the wrong men. She’s all about keeping things casual, and Meph is more than ready to help with that. What starts as a no-strings setup turns into something deeper, even if they both refuse to admit it. The chemistry between them is hot, the banter is on point, and I loved how their connection started to shift once real feelings got involved. Both of them are emotionally closed off, and the way they challenged each other made every moment feel earned. I had moments where I laughed out loud, wanted to shake them both, and just sat there smiling when things finally clicked.

Meph’s backstory was one of my favorite parts. The way he uses his art to deal with his emotions, and how he tries to protect himself by pretending everything is a joke, made him feel real. Iris was the only one who actually sees who he really is, even when she didn’t want to. They each brought out things in the other neither expected, and once that emotional wall cracked, I was all in.

Kristen Leigh’s narration was fantastic. She brought the humor, heat, and emotional tension to life perfectly. Her delivery made every scene feel natural and easy to fall into, and I really enjoyed how she handled each character’s voice.

The found family chaos is still one of my favorite things about this series. Meph, Belial, and Raum together had me laughing more than once. I’m already looking forward to Raum’s book, especially after how much I enjoyed this one.

Huge thanks to NetGalley and RB Media for the advanced listening copy. I absolutely loved this one and will definitely be grabbing a finished copy for my shelf.

A book so good I went out and bought myself a physical copy as soon as I finished. This was such a good darkish romance with a touch of humor. This book follows a grumpy witch Iris and a goofy demon Meph who has some serious demonic baggage he needs to work though. This book manages to balance spice and plot very well. It can be read as a stand alone but if you want a more in depth reading experience I would recommend reading the first two books in the series before this.

I was able to listen to the audio ARC of this book that had been previously released. I can honestly say that I have not read the prior books in this series and I was completely able to keep up with what was going on! I do love that in a series. The narrator did a really good job. Her alliteration was well timed in each chapter being that the book is written in third person.
Spoilers below:
In ‘Demons with Benefits’, we have Iris, who is a witch, and Meph, a demon. Iris has gone through plenty in her life, including the death of her parents, and she feels less than worthy of happiness. Meph is one of the rogue demons hiding on earth who is battling his inner demon and doing everything he can to keep him inside. Iris and Meph agree upon a friend’s with benefits situation in which they both fall for each other but don’t say a thing about it. Meph is the first to break and confesses to Iris after one of their many sex sessions. Iris becomes a brick wall and breaks things off, as was their prior agreement. Meph is devastated and on his way to try and win her back he ends up captured by the demon he and his brothers are running away from. Iris finally gets her shit together and runs after her man/demon. She goes to Hell for him and comes face to face with Meph’s demon form who devours people by eating their fears until they are nothing. Iris finds the way through to the demon and they rescue one another from the pits of hell and make it back to their family.

In this book there are several twists and turns and side stories that lead to the other books in the series. I will be reading each one because this one genuinely had me hooked.

I got a copy of this book in advance for my review. Unfortunately, I got sick, and then behind in getting my review up for the public.

Starting out, there are some references to the first couple of books that I have not read yet, so there were comments that didn't make full sense, but I am sure will fall into place once the other two books are completed.

This was an interesting read, and pretty fun. It will pull you in at the start, and you will not want to put it down (start early, so you can finish before bed).

Interesting characters, good narrator, and enough in this one to make you look forward to the next book.

4.5⭐3🌶️

the banter and snarkiness in this book had me cracked me every single time , and my absolute favorite aspect of this series remains the dynamic, chemistry, and camaraderie between those demon boys. That found-family , and it's made all the better by the fact that each of these characters are so likable, and just damn funny. I absolutely vibe with this brand of humor and the quick witted back-and-forth between Iris and Meph or Meph and Raum (and Belial). Just so many great moments that left me smiling.

Iris managed to grow on me, although there were definitely moments when she lashes out (usually out of a subconscious way of emotionally armoring up) that are rough to sit through - but that's the thing with this particular pairing. You're dealing with two very emotionally damaged individuals with just mountains of unprocessed trauma. I won't go into the particulars, because spoilers, but needless to say, Aurora manages to craft a very satisfying emotional journey for both Iris and Meph as a couple and as individuals characters. I laughed. I teared up too. Needless to say this book was so much fun. The audiobook was even better. The narrator really make these characters more alive.

Thank you netgalley for the arc

So excited to have gotten a continuation of this series! I love this Demon Romance series and appreciate how there are so many brothers, allowing us to see how each one falls in love 🖤 Each brother has something unique about them, and their match can love that part of them. This one features the feisty witch Iris and the tattooed, pierced bad-boy Meph. When they first meet, they can't stand each other, and as things progress, they can't fight the inevitable pull between each other. This book was fast-paced and an easy read that will have you kicking your feet.

The summary
Meph, one of the brothers, is a tattooed, pierced bad boy with a joke for everything. He is the Demon all of them fear. Iris is a blue-haired, feisty witch who has trauma related to demons. They must overcome their own traumas and emotional unavailability to make this work. Their unexpected reaction to each other leaves them stunned.

The narration or Audiobook itself:

I love how the narration by Kirsten Leigh. It is very eloquent, easy to understand, and enjoyable. I was hooked from the beginning.

You will love this if you love:
😈 Demon Romance / Monster Romance
🪄 Witches
🤗 Found Family
⚔️ Enemies to Lovers
🌶️ Spice

My FAVORITE QUOTES
"You're insanely hot, I can't even... I'm almost afraid of you." -Iris

"Whatever demon lurked behind those red eyes was frightening... whatever Meph was it was something dark. It was the monster that hid under the bed or hid in the closet." -Iris

"He loved her feistiness and how it would make it the more delicious when she finally submitted to him."

Thank you NetGalley, RBmedia, Recorded Books, and Aurora Ascher.

Demon with Benefits by Aurora Ascher
This series is so much fun to read! I think this book had more plot and action than the previous ones, which kept me even more engaged. Iris is a total badass witch with her walls up, but I loved watching her slowly open up to her little demon. Their dynamic was great!
I was also lucky enough to receive the ALC, narrated by Kirsten Leigh. The narration was fantastic, full of emotion and really well performed. It added an extra layer to the story that I really appreciated.
Also, random thought: since the main character has blue hair, I was low-key wondering why this book wasn’t the blue one in the series instead of book two. 😂
Thank you to NetGalley, RBmedia, Recorded Books, and Kensington Publishing for the ALC & eARC!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for gifting me an audio copy of this book.

I thought I would enjoy this more, sadly that is not the case. BUT it might be my fault. I knew that the book was a part of a series, but thought I'd give it a try on its own, as I have done a few times before (and enjoyed the books even without the previous parts). However, I do believe I would have more of a connection with the characters had I read the whole series.

Meph and Iris for some reason were unlikeable to me. Maybe I found them too cliché? An artsy boy with trauma and... sweatpants. And Iris a good girl trying to fight so hard against what we all knew was coming. And maybe if I read the whole series it would have been better, but just reading this book felt like their feelings just came out of nowhere.

Other than that, I found the other characters actually more interesting and the plot was easy to understand and follow. I also really like the narrator and enjoyed her throughout the book.

I think I will actually give the previous books a try though, because as I said, I did find the other characters more interesting.

Fun, steamy, and devilishly entertaining!

Demon with Benefits by Aurora Ascher is an absolute blast from start to finish! I was completely hooked by the witty banter, magnetic chemistry, and fast-paced plot that blends the paranormal and romantic comedy genres in such a satisfying way.

The characters are fresh and full of personality—especially the demon love interest Meph, who brings just the right mix of charm, heat, and emotional depth. The humor never feels forced, and the romantic tension had me grinning like an idiot one moment and fanning myself the next. It strikes that perfect balance between laugh-out-loud funny and heart-meltingly sweet, with a touch of spice to keep things interesting.

I listened to the audiobook and the narration was excellent—each character was brought to life with energy and emotion, making the story even more immersive and enjoyable.

I received this audiobook as an advanced reader copy from NetGalley and I’m leaving this review voluntarily. If you’re into quirky supernatural romances with lovable characters and snappy dialogue, definitely add this to your TBR!

This is book three in the Hell Bent series, and the moment I saw “dark humor” in the description, I was all in. The series features a cast of demon, witch, and human friends in a world of interconnected standalones—and this one zeroes in on Meph (a demon) and Iris (a witch), who absolutely do not get along.

Cue the tension. Cue the spice. Their “friends with benefits” arrangement kicks off fast, and things get veryyyyy heated from there.

This was a fun, laugh-out-loud kind of read with sharp banter and solid character growth. I haven’t read the first two books, and I do think I would’ve connected more deeply with the characters if I had, but it still worked as a standalone. My only wish? A bit less spice and a little more true enemies-to-lovers buildup.

That said—if you’re in the mood for a spicy, paranormal romance with humor, heat, and a dash of hellfire, this one might be right up your alley.

Such a great book. Probably my favorite in the series so far.

The characters, and their chemistry- i mean, after they get past their differences and finally give in, the story sucks you right in there with them.
They are intense and their development was so fun to be a part of.

The narrating was great, the story was amazing, definitely recommend

This book made me fall in love with the series. It’s the third instalment, but you can absolutely dive in without having read the first two - I did, and it hooked me straight away.

The story is fun, fast-paced, and full of heart. The characters are sexy, layered, and just the right amount of otherworldly, with humour that lands perfectly. Kirsten Leigh’s narration suits the tone brilliantly and brought the whole thing to life.

This is the ideal palette cleanser or go-to when you want something entertaining and low-stress. Aurora Ascher has firmly landed on my ‘must-read’ author list.
