Demon with Benefits by Aurora Ascher focuses on Meph, the jokester of the demon brothers, and Iris, Lily's sister from book #2 in the series. What starts as a friendly, random encounter quickly turns into something more. Iris is navigating the complex situation of her coven actively searching for demons in their world, all while she's secretly hiding the identity of these very brothers who are supposed to be her enemies. Meanwhile, Meph is battling his own internal struggle, fighting against turning back into his dangerous demon form where he completely loses all control.

I will never not request this advanced audio of the series! It’s perfect for a mindless, vibes, good time read. It’s totally cheesy, but I am absolutely obsessed with these demon brothers. One thing I love about this series is that the cameos of the other characters aren't quick and scarce; the characters from previous stories have full plot lines and are fully involved in all of the books, so you stay connected to them. The plot lines in this particular book were fun, and the romance was even more fun. If you're looking for a very unserious read, this series is absolutely perfect!

Thanks to NetGalley and RBMedia for the ALC in exchange for an honest review. Release date 7/29/2025.

So far this is my favorite in the series. I absolutely loved it and didn’t want to put it down. Meph and Iris were amazing together. I loved their dynamic and chemistry. The way their relationship evolved was just perfect.

Wow, I just read the first 3 Books in the Hell Bent Series. This being the 3rd one and continuation of the rouge demons on Earth.

This one follow Iris (the witch twin from the 2nd book, My Demon Hunter) and Meph (Mephistopheles) who's started their weird interactions in second book while Iris was so called Rescuing her twin sister Lily and then assisting Lily in saving Mist.

Iris has a tragic background due to her being sent away right before her parents and their coven was trapped in a blaze and She arrived right as the fire department put out the fire. She was sent for her own protection and she felt the need to protect her sister and hide them from the demons. She also kept the secret from her sister.

Meph is the jokester and enjoys life. He also puts his feelings into his art but his art is the opposite of what he shows to the world. He also stopped his parting and causal relationship with woman since everything went down with Eva and Ash. He feels weird and out of place with being touched by women.

I loved how this showed that some people will tease and sometimes have a hard time saying their true feelings out to those who they truly love. Both Iris and Meph have issues they need to work out and sometimes having someone who knows the story, knows the damage can be ones to save each other from their "inner Demons" and in this case make friends with dark side or accept and forgive themselves to heal from the past. Definitely enjoy this book and the series so far.

Thank you for Netgalley for this advance audiobook copy to listen to.

This book was devilishly good 😈 from start to finish. Aurora Ascher does not miss! Meph is the perfect combo of broody and broken (yes, I fell hard), and Iris? That girl—sorry, witch—is fierce, loyal, and absolutely ride-or-die. Their chemistry was off the charts. Their banter, the healing, and the action scenes were chef’s kiss. And let’s not forget the spice… 🌶️🌶️🌶️ HOT. This one had me questioning motives of different characters and trying to figure things out. Even though this is a series and flows really well if its read together in order, you really don't have to as there is a lot of background info given to help you get caught up and understand side characters.

Also… who wouldn’t want a cute little hellhound as a pet?! I just love Faust 🥰
Aurora Ascher nailed it again, and I already can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Hot on the heels of the previous book, this one follows another demon brother and witch sister. The enemies-to-lovers trope meets Friends with Benefits. There is a ton of hilarious banter which makes you smile often throughout. It is cute and fun, especially the little hell hound puppy. But also has a dark understory - he is a demon from hell after all. I did enjoy the sweet love story blended with spicy (super spicy) scenes. Those who love monster romances will also live this one. Lots of chemistry between the main couple as well. The narrator did such a great job with this one, but as always, I wish there was a male lead as well.

Title: Demon with Benefits-Hell Bent #3

Author: Aurora Ascher

Publication date: 7/29/25 | Read: 7/28/25

Narrator: Kirsten Leigh voices all the characters with standouts from Meph, Iris, Raum, and Lilly. The reading style brought the text to life, and the author and narrator worked together perfectly. The pacing and flow allowed me to get lost in the story. The narrator paused and announced new chapters and there was a table of contents which helped me follow along.

Run Time: 12:24

Genre:
*Paranormal Romance
*Fantasy

Tropes:
*enemies to lovers
*witch/demon pairing
*pet friendly
*friends w/ benefits

POV: 3rd person

TW: touch aversion-H, death of parents-h, panic attacks

Setting: Montreal

Summary: Iris dislikes demons after her parents were killed by them. Her twin Lilly befriended escaped princes from hell and fell in love with one. Iris and Meph's sexual attraction is unmatched, and they start hooking up. When they are kidnapped by Valefor-a duke of hell, Meph is forced to transform into his demon and becomes a slave to Valefor.

Heroine: Iris Donovan-a blue-haired, hot-tempered witch

Hero: Mephistopheles "Meph"-a tattooed bad boy demon and artist.

Other Characters:
*Suyin-Iris's BFF
*Lilly-Iris's twin sister
*Asmodeus/Ash, Raum, and Belial-princes of hell living on Earth
*Faust-Iris's hellhound/dog
*Grim-Iris's cat
*Valefor-a Duke of hell

My Thoughts: This was a quick paranormal romance read with plenty of spice. Iris and Meph tolerated each other for Lilly's sake. Her twin made new friends w/ the demons and Iris attended a party where things got steamy w/ Meph. Their relationship was mainly sexual but turned into true love after they're kidnapped. Meph was forced to turn into a blood-drinking monster-demon. The sexy times were a little too intense for me, but I rooted for Iris and Meph's HEA!

Rating: 3.5/5

Spice level 5/5 open door, explicit sex

I received an ALC of this title from NetGalley and RBmedia in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I was lucky enough to get a a digital ARC of this book and then an ALC of the audiobook as well. The third installment is a wild ride in the Hell Bent Series. From the start, the story has broody demons, sarcastic characters and banter that is just delicious. Tropes are: Enemies to Lovers, Found Family, Demons and Witches, and a few others. Reading the story was extremely enjoyable and took me about 2 days to get through. However, listening to it narrated by Kirsten Leigh made it an even more enjoyable ride. Her narration style lends this story exactly what it needs to seamlessly, and hilariously, navigate readers through the wit, sarcasm and emotional realizations/growth. This is my first audiobook from the narrator but it will not be my last.

Demon with Benefits by Aurora Ascher is the third book in the Hell Bent series.
I have been waiting so long for this book it felt like an eternity, and so worth it !
In this book we follow our MMC, Meph, a demon, who is the funniest and the sweetest character ever. From a guy covered in tattoos head to toes, you will not expect how lovable he actually is. He is scary on the outside and a big teddy bear inside. He will be the kind of hero that would burn the world for her.
The FMC, Iris she is feisty, fierce, with an attitude bigger then hell itself. The chemistry and the banter between them is hot AF, and it doesn't take too long before they they are all over each other, literally every single night. There is a lot of humor, banter, romance, very hot smut, and an amazing plot. Aurora is a master with words! She created the perfect character development with an amazing background trauma for these two. The cherry on top of the cake is the side characters that not only engage in the story, but also bring the most beautiful points of their relationships to the forefront.
Audiobook: performed by Kristen Leigh, who did once again a phenomenal solo job and made us fall in love even more with this universe!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to have access to this ALC!
I can't wait for the next book!!

ALC review of the audiobook.

This book had me feeling allllll the things! I was laughing, on the edge of my seat, and in tears.

Meph and Iris FINALLY. I knew I would love Meph’s book and I was not disappointed. The banter between the two of them was so good. And the chemistry! I was giggling and kicking my feet through this whole book. Their growth both together and individually was so good and so fun to read. They’re both very complex and I relate to Iris a lot. And I just adore Meph. Sweet, sweet baby Meph. I’m so proud of him.

The audiobook itself was very well done. I do wish it was a duet (bc I wish almost every audiobook was), but the VA did a great job and the production was good.

I highly recommend this series!

Thank you NetGalley and RBmedia for the ALC. 🖤

I hate to say this, but this book was a struggle. It took everything in me not to DNF before the 60% mark. The writing felt both disjointed and repetitive. Listen, I love a smutty romance as much as the next girl, but the amount of times that I felt icked out is kind of ridiculous. The dirty talk was just uncomfortable and it happened often. The amount of sex scenes that occurred before the 50% mark is actually insane. That being said, I found the second half far more enjoyable. The plot picks up and we’re introduced to other perspectives. I just feel like I shouldn’t have been more interested in those characters than the stories main ones.

Okay this book was fun!! I give it a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️ just for pure entertainment value and great vibes.

Side-note: I haven’t read the first 2 books so just dove right into book 3. I wasn’t confused and caught onto the plot quickly. The author does a great job recapping and introducing characters backstories. They are interconnected standalones so you can read them in order or pick up wherever with no problems!

This was an entertaining, sarcastic, friends-with-benefits story! The main characters love to give each other a hard time so the banter was great! I liked the chemistry between them and the found family aspect with all the side characters was good.

I did not realize going into it that this was a monster-romance so THAT scene came as a shock to me while listening in gym and I failed miserably at hiding my facial expressions 🤣

The audio was pretty good. It is a dual POV (with a couple chapters from random side characters POV sprinkled in there). I didn’t love the female narrator doing the MMCs voice. It kinda took me out of it with his chapters. With a dual POV I just prefer there to be a male narrator for their chapters. Also, the FMC is supposed to have a subtle Irish accent but it only comes through when using slang. So that was a little distracting. But other than that it was a fun listen! Her delivery when lines were supposed to be funny or sarcastic were spot on!

Don’t take it too seriously and you’ll have a great time! I’ll read the other books in the future when I need a fun palate cleanser.
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I received an advanced listening copy of this audiobook. All opinions are my own. Thanks to RBMedia for the ALC!

Content warnings:
abuse, torture, manipulation, mild gore, sex in demon form

The narrator did a great job! I think this one would be a great candidate for dual narration, or at least two narrators.

This series has been so much fun so far, and book 3 is much the same! I've had so much fun following along with these goofy-a$$ demons because yes they're big, scary, demons, but they all have Rottweiler energy (looks kinda scary and they'll protect their people but they're big softies at heart).

And continuing in the same vein as the others, Meph has a tragic backstory. What's funny (ironic not like comedic) about this one is that the bad guy isn't really all that scary. He's just got a bunch of wards and he's really good at conditioning. It really shows just how frightening manipulation can be.

Iris and Meph are so adorable. I'm really interested to see where book 4 takes us!

ALC Review

What happens when an emotionally damaged witch collides with an emotionally challenged demon… magic!

𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 by Aurora Ascher
Narrated by Kirsten Leigh
Audiobook release date July 29, 2025

𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 is book 3 in the 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐭 series. It’s such a fun spicy read.
Iris has a prejudiced against demons, and for good reason. Meph is a demon who’s escaped hell and has the emotional scars to show for it. When Iris and Meph let physical attraction win over their dislike for one another things really heat up. As the characters get to know one another we get a deeper understanding of who they are and the traumas of their past. Their growing bond will give you the warm fuzzies. Their snarky banter will keep you giggling. And the spice… it will definitely bring color to your cheeks.

Kirsten Leigh does such a wonderful job bringing these characters to life. The pacing is perfect and the characters emotions are delivered effortlessly. On two occasions I did find myself looking back to see whose pov I was listening to, but I don’t fault the narrator for this. The book is written in third person with multiple povs. That’s tricky for any one narrator to do seamlessly. Overall, I was impressed with Kirsten Leigh and I’ll definitely be seeking more books narrated by her in the future.

I recommend listening to this series in order. The events in book 3 take place directly after the events in books 1 & 2.

Thank you NetGalley and RBMedia for the ALC!

This book was a good mix of cutesy rom-com mixed with demons, hell hounds, vampires, and SPICE. I really enjoyed the narrator’s tone and speed. The story was also very cute. Unfortunately, I do think it could use another round of editing. I’m not sure if there are errors or if it’s hard to distinguish words the narrator is saying. I actually had to look up the MMC’s name because I swore she was saying M E T H (it’s Meph).

I have been enjoying listening to this series, the narrator does a really good job. This series is fun and spicy! This particular book follows Iris a blue haired witch, who isn't too fond of Demons, unlike her sister. Iris is also the worst at picking men for herself, as each relationship has failed. Meph is a Demon with a super dark side to him, that doesn't want anything besides a hook up. Iris gives into her attraction to Meph and they decide to hook up once to get it out of their system, but feelings change. I enjoy these books as pallet cleansers from the darker stuff I read as they are fun books. Thank you Netgalley for an advanced listener copy, in exchange for an honest review.

Every book in this series tops the last. This installment was definitely spicier and hilarious, love Meph & Iris. Anyone who likes paranormal romance will fall for these adorable demons.

Honestly, what a great silly time. This book is ridiculous in the best possible way. The third in the series, I would definitely recommend reading the first two before starting this one. I will say, this was easily my favorite of the series mixing action, romance and humor in a vastly entertaining way.

Kristen Leigh was fantastic as the narrator, matching the humor and action of the novel.

Oh I love this series so much. It is always a great time.

Book 3 of the Hell Bent series follows Meph ,the fun loving jokesters brother who is afraid of his demon side and Iris Donovan, a grumpy witch who is having a hard time dealing with the secret of her twins sisters new boyfriend and his demon side” brothers”. All the while fighting her attractive for the tattooed Mephistopheles.

We get to revisit all of my favorites characters including the mother Meph never had , Jacqui who is a mentor and loving figure. I really enjoyed this book. The chemistry between Meph and Iris is amazing and the spicy in this book is scorching. So be prepared.

The narration was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend this series.

Not my favorite in the Hell Bent series but it was still a deliciously escapist paranormal demon romance between a witch and a demon with a tortured soul. Good on audio and it can be read as a standalone even though it's the third book in the series. Recommended for fans of authors like Katee Roberts. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!
