Growing up, both Kelsey and Jayce often met at their families resort destination. After losing touch, they are both delighted to discover each other once again staying in the same cabins. Both are there for different reasons but maybe this is the second chance they need to get things right. Such a sweet quick novella. I loved this one and the journey both of our character's took to make things work. This was well narrated on audio too.

A ten-day family vacation leads to an old rekindling.
Jayce Nash joins his family at Lakeview Harbor Resort to celebrate his grandparents' fifty-fifth wedding anniversary.
Kelsey Brooks goes back to Lakeview Harbor Resort for a much more somber reason. The last person she expects to run into is the boy she never forgot.
During these ten days they walk down memory lane and rekindle old feelings with a look towards the future.

#Resort Romance by Samantha Chase and narrated by Rebecca Gibel. She did a wonderful job on the narration which made it very pleasant to listen too . I didn’t read the other books in this series but I feel like this was fine as a stand alone. Sweet novella with no drama. I actually really enjoyed that. Great beach read or listen. Thank you to #NetGalley and #DreamscapeMedia for this Arc. This is my honest review.

#resort Romance is the prequel to the Lakeview Harbor Resort series. This was a sweet novella Jayce and Kelsey…. It's been about 13 years since they've been back and seen each other, but they both have their own reasons for returning to the resort one last time before the resort permanently closes.
This was a great beginning novella to the coming series to come. The audio is narrated by Rebecca Gibel., and she did a fine job i guess, I’m not huge on third person pov and i would have preferred a dual narration but outside of that the narration was cute and good. It’s about 3 hours long so not a huge time commitment.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this advanced opportunity

Sweet short story. Child kids to lovers.
Listened to it in half a day.
Well written and fast moving.
The ending wrap up was great and answered any questions i was still thinking

Resort romance- narrator Rebecca Gibel
-second chance
-Jace and Kelsey
-grieving her mom and wants to scatter her ashes, his grandparents 55th anniversary
-short, sweet, to the point
-rekindle their old relationship
-decide to try to save the resort
I really enjoyed this sweet book. The characters made me want to give them a hug, and join their family. Though I felt it was slightly rushed, I liked the story. Sometimes you don't need the whole backstory, but I wish a chapter had been dedicated to the past.

#resort Romance is the prequel to the Lakeview Harbor Resort series. Jayce and Kelsey were great friends growing up when their families would go to Lakeview Harbor Resort each summer. It’s been years since they’ve been back and seen each other, but they both are spending time at the resort before it closes. When they see each other again the connection is instant. They may not have been ready for happily ever after in high school, but all these years later it might be time to see whats behind that other door.
This was a cute and fluffy romance novella that was a super easy light read. I loved the childhood summer connection between Jayce and Kelsey and thought their story was cute. I think this was a great lead in to whatever this series is going to hold and I am excited to visit Lakeview Harbor Resort again. If you are looking for a cute summer novella this is a good choice.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the audio ARC!

First of all I love Samantha Chase’s writing! The audio was good I enjoyed the narrator. Wish it was duel narration but this is also a novella so I get it.
I am so excited for this new series! Now I’m gonna have to wait till September for book 1 and that makes me sad. Jayce and Kelsey! I just know I’m gonna love them!! Second chance romance is my fav trope so I am so excited!!!

#ResortRomance by Samantha Chase is the ultimate feel-good getaway in book form! From the sparkling beaches to the sizzling chemistry between the leads, this story had me smiling the entire time. The banter was flirty, the setting was dreamy, and the romance? Total swoon. 😍 If you’re looking for a light, sweet, and heartwarming escape, this book is your perfect vacation read, no passport required!

For anyone who has ever had a cottage weekend with family; this one is for you. While a short story it had allll of the emotions and love that one wants in a story. I loved the setting, the characters, the no spice aspect and overall it’s the perfect summer audio

This was a sweet fluffy novella which is part of a bigger series. It can be read as a stand-alone easily. It came out in early 2025 but I received the audio ALC which comes out August 12th.
The audio is narrated by Rebecca Gibel. She did a fine job with her rendition of the material. She does speak at a slower metered pace which for me had to be sped up in order to consume it. The book is only just a bit over 3 hours normally so speeding it up made it a very quick read. Admittedly, Ms Gibel struggled with her male voice but it was subtly different enough to hear the difference.
The book over all, especially for a novella, was a little repetitive concerning the state of the campground. So while it was a quick fine read, it doesn’t have a lot of substance.
I am thankful to have gotten a complimentary audio ALC from Dreamscape Media through NetGalley to read which gave me the opportunity to voluntarily leave a review.
My general rating system is below. Since I primarily read ARC books I rate according to how I think like minded readers will receive the book. I will round up or down depending on many factors and try not to let my personal wants affect a books ratings.
⭐️ Hated It but pushed through as so don’t DNF ARCs I have received.
⭐️⭐️ Had a lot of trouble, prose issues, content issues, poorly edited.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meh, it was an ok read but it had something that stopped me from rounding up. Usually the book may have much more potential than what was given. I recommend it but with reservations.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I Really enjoyed it or think others will. These are solid reads that I definitely would recommend for a variety of reasons.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding! These are books that remain rent free in my head for well after unfinished the book. It can be for a variety of reasons from being very well written or just the vibes that captured my mind. These books are also ones I would probably read again.

This one is a cute little second chance romance about two adults who have reunited at the summer vacation homed their parents brought them to as kids - think Dirty Dancing. Novella legnth and fun to listen to, this one is a perfect read when you just need something feel good.
