Amazing read, you get a hot Irish Druid from the past with a wicked witch grandmother heck bent on ending said druids life. With adventure and mystery with some magic thrown in you have an awesome 🌶️🌶️🌶️ read. I can’t wait to see what happens next, hopefully we will get Caedmon story!

This book was not the romantasy I thought it was going to be. I bawled my eyes out for half of it and the other half of it I was raging along with Maggie (the only non-insufferable character). I understand that Kellen is cursed and in a deep hole but he was annoying and yet harsh in every scene for the first 60% of the book.

AMAZING! Gothicy fall vibes, a broody druid, and a witch...this book utter perfection and I couldnt put it down. It was so captivating and everything my gothic romance loving heart needed. Burright did such an amazing job pulling me in and keeping turning pages until there were none left. My only complaint is that the book ended!

Cozy, quick, romance fantasy with such great vibes. Druid Curse by C.J. Burright starts with Kellen Ravenwood, cursed and only free for seven days every fifty years. This Samhain is his last chance to break it and Maggie O’Malley is the key. She heads to a mysterious Irish estate for a $500,000 prize and instead finds ancient magic, creepy rituals, and one dangerously charming man.

It’s a quick, fun fall read with Halloween vibes, a cozy Scotland castle, a little spice, and a romance that’s predictable in the best way. I also need a Jeeves spin-off immediately. Perfect for a palate cleanser

This one has all the cozy fantasy chaos: castles, curses, witches, sword-swinging showdowns, and a romance that burns fast enough to singe your eyebrows. It’s not flawless—the insta-love was a bit much and the old-world/modern speech clash took me out of it a few times—but it’s still a fun, quick read with a unique magical premise. If you want light, magical romance with a dash of danger, this one’s worth a look.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for an ARC of this book, it was super fun and a very enjoyable read. I think this is a perfect read for Halloween, we have castles, cursed druids and a feisty FMC who is willing to fight for it all. It’s a fast paced story, but plenty of fun banter, plot twists and excitement to make you breeze through this book and still want more!

Review – Druid Cursed by C.J. Burright
This is not a literary masterpiece—so keep that in mind before diving in. The premise is fun and full of potential, but the execution had a few bumps for me. The language sometimes felt forced, especially with Kellen’s “old world” speech contrasted against Maggie’s contemporary voice—it didn’t always mesh smoothly.

The romance? Let’s just say I had a hard time buying it. Maggie falls in love in less than seven days—right after a brutal divorce and while teetering on the edge of homelessness. Really? Does she even know his favorite color? It felt rushed and a bit tacky, which made it hard for me to invest in their connection.

That said, the Druid curse aspect was enjoyable and gave the story a unique twist. I even spotted the big reveal early on—it had a definite Sister/Sister or Parent Trap vibe. My favorite moment (and a perfect nod to The Princess Bride) was:

“Hello again, my name is Maggie O’Malley. You possessed my best friend and cursed Kellen. Prepare to bite it, Grandma.”

While this is a standalone, I can’t help but wonder if we’ll see Wendy and Caedmon’s story someday. I think that could be a lot of fun.

Overall, Druid Cursed is a cute, easy read with an entertaining premise. Not perfect, but if you’re looking for something light with a dash of magic, curses, and a fast-burn romance, it might be worth picking up.
All thoughts are my own. Thank you to NetGalley, C.J. Burright, and Entangled Publishing Group LLC for the opportunity to read and review this story.

This book was just not for me, loved the concept and the Irish castle though. So right book just wrong reader.

Maggie and her best friend travel to Ireland to compete for a $500,000 cash prize, which Maggie needs desperately after her divorce.

What she doesn't expect is to feel a pull towards Kellen, one of the brothers in charge of the game.

I really enjoyed Maggie's battle to do what was necessary to win the prize money after losing herself when her marriage deteriorates.   She met Kellan, and while she felt the attraction and pull,  she wasn't willing to lose herself in another relationship.

Meanwhile,  Kellan,  who only gets 7 days to break his curse, fell hard for Maggie and was selfless in his pursuit of her.  He wanted his freedom from the curse, but he wasn't willing to do what was necessary if it meant any harm came to Maggie.

There is angst, mystery, castles, true love,  witch battles, sacrifices, and more.   What else do you need?!

I was very excited to get this ARC, I think the plot had lots of potential, thought this was going to be a great Halloween read and it started off so strong. Unfortunately, I had to DNF, the writing style was chaotic, the MMC's era phrasing gave me the ick and then there were phrases used by other characters like "the local lady cat collector", it just wasn't the book for me.

Thank you C.J. Burright, Net Galley and Entangled Publishing Group LLC for providing me with an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own.

What drew me to this book was the plot. Who doesn’t want to read about a cursed Druid trying to find a way to break his centuries old curse with the help of the witches great granddaughter (the one who cursed him).

It’s a fun premise. What really stood out to me was the dialogue! C.J. Burright did a great job of making Kellen seem so old and ancient and kind of like a fish out of water. He doesn’t know technology or any slang of the 21st century which makes for some funny interactions between him and our FMC Maggie.

I really loved Maggie. She is recently divorced and not looking for a man. She is an independent baddie who don’t need a man.

If you are looking for a fun read this Halloween with witches, druids, curses, spells and some spooky fun this is the book for you.

Alrighty this was FUN and so intriguing. Is the bare bones of this book of “someone being cursed and only their true love can save them” common? Yes. But did the author do a fantastic job of giving it to such a unique setting and interesting characters that the commonality of it is forgotten? YES.

Love when we have an FMC who isn’t 18. The writing was beautiful to say the least. Between the scenery, the dialogue, and the character descriptions I felt like I was actually IN the book. Once again a side character is my fave character: Ask Jeeves anyone?

The only thing that didn’t do it for me was the pacing. Some of the book dragged on and on and on while other parts felt like I blinked and went through 3 scenes.

Thank you to C.J. Burright, Entagled Publishing, and Net Galley for the eARC!

This storyline hooked my attention early and kept me flipping pages long after I should have been sleeping. I binged the entire book in under 24 hours because I needed to know what was going to happen to the main characters.

Kellen Ravenwood was such a swoon-worthy and charming MMC. I loved watching the dynamic between him and Maggie (FMC) develop and grow during such intense and high-stakes moments.
Getting to read both of their perspectives from a Dual Pov narration was fantastic. I personally love when stories are told from multiple POVs.

The plot is packed with plot twists, eerie magical moments and an atmospheric setting that I think makes it a perfect Fall release. Your going to want to add this one to your Halloween TBR.

This was the first book I've read from this author but it definitely won't be my last. I will be looking forward to checking out more of her work in the future.

While I enjoyed some parts of this especially his romantic af lines. She annoyed me sooo much and made dumbest decisions that made me yell at my iPad especially when it came to him and her friend. I also knew the big reveal was coming so that didn't shock me but the reaction to it did...they should have been punished for what they did! So sadly this was a miss for me...

5 Stars. Loved this druid modern day tale of true love and sacrifice. It does have some darker themes but it just makes the light so much brighter. Highly recommend for anyone that loves a modern magical tale with hansome brooding men and a good thick...brogue.
